Hotels near Strathcona in Vancouver

This hotel is basically a poor imitation of an Ibis hotel, yet it charges an unreasonable price! The rooms don’t even have tissues!!!! When I booked the hotel, I realized it had a shared bathroom. I tried to cancel, but the hotel refused. Instead, they upgraded me to a private bathroom only after charging an extra $300!!! The hotel has no proper security. While we were staying there, a homeless person came up to the second floor holding a lighter, which terrified my wife. The hotel alarm went off and the fire department had to come!! The person responsible for cleaning the room didn’t restock the coffee for two days until I directly reminded them. When I mentioned it to the reception, they didn’t seem to care. At one point, the cleaner even left their cleaning cloth in the room.

The environment around this hotel is not good. For such an old hotel, I have to pay a deposit of $150, and I can't pay UnionPay cards. It took an hour to check in and another hour to check out. The customer service communicated with them for a long time. Anyway, the experience was too bad. I could only cry.

Nice hotel, in a good location for us. Breakfast was particularly good. Not happy with the bed in our room. It was a framed bed in that the mattress sat within a protruding wooden frame which had sharp edges, so both myself and my wife caught our shins on the bed frame on a number of occasions. The bed frame was the same colour as the wooden flooring so somewhat camouflaged! They tried to help but it really was quite a hazard.

Good Location! It is only walking distance either Canada line or Expo line.. Service/Facility is great... there is a self service coffee corn at the lobby area. The guest laundry room is a PLUS. The charge is reasonable,i.e. CAD3 for washer/dryer per load and CAD2 each for detegent and softener. It only takes 30 minutes for washing and 60 minutes for drying...

The staff were very helpful and welcoming upon arrival, always willing to assist with anything we needed. However, when we first entered our room, there was a very strong smell of paint. We were told it had just been painted, but the odor was so intense that staying there would likely have caused discomfort, so we requested a room change. They accommodated our request, although the only available option was a smaller unit. Another point worth noting is that Trip.com indicates the hotel accepts a cash deposit, but at check-in we were informed that only card payments were allowed, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the room had some constant noises throughout the day and night — I couldn’t identify the source, and they continued even with the air conditioning turned off. There is also a vending machine right at the hotel entrance, but it was not working properly. I inserted money and did not receive the products; however, the front desk staff promptly assisted me and helped resolve the situation, which I appreciated. Aside from these issues, the hotel offers good value for the price, and the location is excellent, making it easy to get around and access nearby attractions.

We had a very nice stay in this apartment. The apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. The location was top: central and ideal to explore Vancouver. The communication with the renter was also very flexible and pleasant. Beautiful Vancouver!!! The hotel's location right on Vancouver's famous Granville Street is incredibly convenient. The breakfast was good, with milk, bagels, and some fruit. The only downside is that it's next to a bar street, so it can get a bit noisy at night. I highly recommend visiting Stanley Park!

Very close to downtown. 20-25min walk to waterfront. Room is clean, and the shared shower room and washroom are clean as well. Personally, the shampoo is not suitable for me. If that matters, I suggest that bring small sample by yourself. My room faces the main street, it was noisy after the happy hour(lol), I dont have sleeping problem, so it didnt bother me at all. They do offer earplugs. You can get them from front desk. Btw, the staff was very nice at the front desk.

Along the busy davie street. Noisy. There’s a mart just directly across the street and there is numerous restaurants along the street. Train is about 10 mins walk from the hotel and it gets you anywhere. Cafes are just around the corners and along the street. Rooms are spacious and with sofa bed, tv with chrome cast, well equipped kitchen as well and balcony
