An absolutely perfect stay! The hotel is located on Beibin Road in Liangjiang New Area, an excellent location that makes getting around super convenient. I booked the Hongyadong King Room, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and tidy, with a cozy layout, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Pulling back the curtains revealed a stunning river view, and at night, I could clearly see the brilliant lights of Hongyadong, creating an incredible ambiance!
The biggest surprise was the surrounding amenities. Downstairs, there's a food paradise with hotpot, noodles, and authentic local Chongqing dishes – everything you could want. You can step right out and try genuine Chongqing delicacies, a food lover's dream! The front desk service was warm and attentive, check-in was efficient, and they even thoughtfully recommended sightseeing and food guides, showing great attention to detail.
Overall, the value for money is outstanding. The location, environment, and service are all impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chongqing; I'll definitely choose it again next time!

This hotel is situated along the northern bank of the Jialing River, with a riverside promenade right outside – perfect for a stroll. In the evenings, it's conveniently located across from Hongyadong for enjoying the night view. There's also a street nearby with plenty of dining options. The rooms are spacious, and the facilities are decent. The river view rooms offer a partial view of the Jialing River. On the downside, there's no free parking; you have to pay for parking downstairs, which costs 25 RMB for over 12 hours. Additionally, there are several bars downstairs, making it quite noisy at night.

Very disappointed for a no. 3 4 stars hotel.
Amenities wise, it was lacking in many areas. The sound proofing was very bad, we could hear cars honking the entire time even though we were on floor 23, made it very difficult to stay asleep. The window blinds were too thin, not able to keep the light from coming in. The sliding doors to the shower and bathroom doesn't slide properly. No fridge in the room. No tissue box by the sink.
We could smell the cigarette smell from inside the room because they asked guests to smoke at the stairwell but the door to the stairwell was always open and our room was close to the stairwell. Even tho it's a non smoking room. We could smell everything.
They had free laundry provided on our floor but everyone uses it and other guests unloaded our things before the drying process was finished. Ended up losing an article of clothing.
The elevators took forever to come.
Only positive thing is that it's a very convenient location.

We had a wonderful stay at the “Under the Banyan Tree” Hotel in Chongqing. The location is excellent — only a 1-minute walk from QiXingGang metro station, making it very convenient to explore the city.
After arriving, we added the hotel on WeChat, which allowed us to communicate with the staff 24/7 whenever we needed anything. They even checked in with us after we entered the room to make sure everything was satisfactory.
The hotel also offers a free tour for guests, although we didn’t join due to our own plans. The rooms were spotless, fully equipped with everything you might need, and the entire hotel had a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of an ancient Chinese town from a historical TV drama. There is also a tea and coffee lounge on the 3rd floor, where guests can even dress up in traditional-style clothing and take photos.
The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room even featured a Japanese-style smart toilet. Upon checkout, the staff kindly gave us bottled water for the journey and a small snack gift package.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay. The hotel offers amazing value for money and truly feels like a hidden gem in Chongqing!

Booking the river-view light rail room at Orange Crystal was the smartest decision I made on this Chongqing trip! The moment I opened the window, I felt instantly refreshed. The sparkling Jialing River and the passing light rail were all within sight. By day, I watched the boats go by, and by night, I enjoyed the illuminated banks – no filters needed for photos.
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's just a 10-minute walk to the Great Hall of the People and the Three Gorges Museum. Popular spots like Zhongshan Fourth Road and Ma'anshan Tangli are also very close, making it super convenient for a city walk. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the double-pane windows effectively blocked out the light rail noise, ensuring a peaceful stay. Getting around was also easy, as it's not far from the light rail station, making it quick to get to Jiefangbei or other attractions. The service was warm and attentive, with staff always ready to answer any questions. Overall, the experience was exceptional, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Chongqing! Oh, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the small cakes were very tasty, and the freshly prepared Chongqing noodles were absolutely amazing!

Fantastic stay. Odor free room, immaculate housekeeping services (we stayed in room 207). They noticed that we drink a lot of water and next day we got 4 bottles instead of 2. Minimal noise once windows closed. Good room layout, enough space for 2 big luggages. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices including non spicy options and ordered from menu. Air conditioning fast and strong. Added bonus was automatic curtains and smart room features. Convenient didi drop off point next to hotel. Sitting area on 15th floor offers great views in evenings. Communication with reception was easy and fast via Wechat. Lots of shopping, food options and attractions within walking distance. We even got little gift during checkeout.

The hotel is some distances away from the attraction spots, but it is quiet and overlooking the river, so anyone looking for a less crowded but good-quality hotel, this is the hotel for you. You can get to anywhere with didi and its inexpensive so there were no inconvenience.
In terms of service, I’ll give them 5 stars. We initially arrived at a different branch of the hotel (the one in liberation monument) instead of this one cause the hotel names are similar and pretty confusing. But the staff at that branch was super friendly and ordered didi for us to get to the right branch and covered the fees. The rest of our stay was pretty good as well. We delivered our parcels to the wrong branch but the hotel staff (front desk service no. 4) helped us ordered delivery service and got our parcels at our door.
It was a very pleasant stay and we would love to stay here again.

1. Take Metro Line 2 to Daxigou Station, exit from Exit 2, turn right and walk for 2 minutes until you see Chongqing Gongguan. The hotel reception is on the 13th floor.
2. The apartment building has three elevators in total; you need to take the two on the left to go up.
I suggest the hotel contact guests who have already booked in advance to inform them of the hotel's location, directions, and so on. I believe customer satisfaction would be much higher. I had to call myself beforehand to ask for directions and which floor to go to.
3. The hotel is about a 15 to 20-minute walk to Hongyadong and two metro stops away from Jiefangbei.
4. The night view from the room was great, but it wasn't clean. There was a used double eyelid sticker on the table.
5. The room I booked was supposed to include Mahua (fried dough twists) as a complimentary item, but it wasn't offered to me proactively.
Despite all this, I'm still giving a full score. Running a business isn't easy, so I hope the service continues to improve.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel recommended by my friend with nice river view at high floor of 22 storey.
This hotel is within walking distance of places of interest such as 解放碑,洪崖洞,十八梯 and 魁星楼。
Many eateries around this area and there was a washing machine cum drying machine where the drying process for our clothing took about 2 hours. But have to beware of those promoting on the streets one day tour where the tour guide will tell you that she will not follow on the pamphlet's itineraries.
Moreover, we paid one day tour of RMB80 , ended up need to pay extra RMB221 for 25 minutes lunch for 1 table of RMB35 per pax and some entrance fees. We were introduced the one day tour at the road side while we scouting for breakfast and the sales girl said the tour guide could bring us for breakfast there.
But the tour guide said there was no time for breakfast when they got a car to meet the tour guide in a big bus and we had to go hungry until lunch time.
The bellhops were helpful as they helped us the book the cab or Didi as our apps were unable to book. One of the bellhops even asked us to pay the driver and actually was deducted from his pay wallet. We quickly called up the hotel to pay back the bellhop.
This hotel needed us to pay a security payment of RMB500 where we already paid the 3 nites payment through trip com but they promptly refunded us after we checked out.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews, but this time I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out to this thoughtful B&B. After much deliberation online, I finally chose this highly-rated place. As soon as I landed in Chongqing, the host texted me a detailed guide to Chongqing, complete with tips and注意事项 (things to pay attention to), and all my worries instantly vanished.
The room was fully equipped, and there was a spacious living room for relaxation and entertainment. The washing machine had a built-in dryer, and the mattress was super soft and comfortable. If we needed anything else, we could just contact the front desk and have it delivered to our room. Our stay was absolutely fantastic.
The B&B is located in a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle, with great views from the high floor. Transportation was incredibly convenient; it was less than a 10-minute walk to attractions like Hongyadong and Jiefangbei. There are also two subway lines right outside for easy travel, and both the train station and airport are within a 30-minute taxi ride.
Most importantly, the service was an absolute game-changer and deserves special praise. It's clear that the entire service team puts a lot of effort into running this B&B. Five people looked after just the two of us! The staff were always ready to answer our questions, responded promptly, and were genuinely warm and enthusiastic, which really touched us. Such attentive service made our stay in Chongqing incredibly enjoyable for several days. If I ever come back to Chongqing, I will definitely choose Kongshan B&B again. Go for it, everyone!
PpogbackMy stay in an executive room during this Chongqing trip was absolutely flawless from start to finish. It offered an unparalleled experience, making it an excellent choice for a holiday or extended stay in Chongqing. Everything far exceeded my expectations, providing comfort and a sense of calm throughout.
What truly impressed and won me over was the Regent Hotel's meticulous and thoughtful service, easily making it the benchmark for high-end hotel service in Chongqing. From the moment I arrived for check-in, the staff were professional, gentle, and impeccably polite. The doorman warmly greeted me, assisted with parking and luggage, and handled everything with gracious humility. The front desk check-in process was efficient and quick, with staff patiently explaining hotel facilities, guest benefits, and local sightseeing tips. The communication felt natural and comfortable. Throughout my stay, the entire team maintained a high standard of service, responding promptly and thoroughly. Room cleaning was meticulous and attentive, with amenities, mini-bar drinks, and local snacks replenished daily. The room was spotless, tidy, and pleasantly fragrant. All requests were handled quickly and appropriately, with attentive service that wasn't intrusive, perfectly embodying the quality of a top-tier luxury hotel. I felt completely at ease and comfortable the entire time.
My executive room had an exceptional overall feel, with an open and airy layout and a spacious ambiance. The decor blended elegant Chinese aesthetics with modern minimalist luxury design, creating a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. The layout was well-designed, and the soft furnishings were exquisite. The warm lighting created a soothing ambiance. The room's soundproofing was excellent, ensuring quiet and privacy, leading to superb rest. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered unrivaled views of the confluence of the two rivers and the Yuzhong Peninsula cityscape. Whether relaxing or soaking in the tub, I could enjoy the riverside view, immersing myself in the mountainous city's scenery. The bedding was soft, skin-friendly, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom featured a dry/wet separation, and premium toiletries were well-stocked. The executive room's exclusive mini-bar was refreshed daily with complimentary drinks and snacks. Various thoughtful daily essentials were perfectly provided, with attention to every detail, making for a luxurious and pleasant living experience.
The dining experience was equally outstanding, with dishes that excelled in color, aroma, and taste, balancing both quality and flavor. The hotel offered a rich selection of meals, catering to both local Chongqing flavors and exquisite Western cuisine. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of fresh ingredients, including regular Western pastries, hot dishes, congee, and fresh fruit drinks, as well as authentic Chongqing noodles and pea and meat sauce noodles, full of local character. Executive room guests also enjoyed exclusive executive lounge benefits, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The food was exquisitely prepared and diverse, in a quiet, less crowded setting, offering greater privacy and a full sense of exclusive treatment. Additionally, the hotel's main dining options, specialty hotpot, and the Two Rivers Bar on the 7th floor are all worth experiencing. The ingredients are premium, and the cooking is done with care. The Two Rivers Bar boasts a prime view of the river at night, offering a double delight for both sight and taste with the evening breeze and delicious food.
The hotel's public facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. The high-altitude heated swimming pool was quiet and uncrowded, allowing me to swim while enjoying river views. The gym had professional and well-equipped machinery to meet daily workout needs. The spa and relaxation areas were well-appointed, perfect for unwinding after a tiring journey. The public areas exuded elegant style, with a sophisticated fragrance, creating a tranquil and refined environment where every snapshot looked like a professional photograph.
Overall, my impression of the stay was that Regent Chongqing enjoys a prime location with unparalleled views of the two rivers, complemented by impeccable, thoughtful service, excellent dining, a high-quality executive room environment, and comprehensive facilities. Everything was executed to perfection. With the added executive privileges, the overall value for money and comfort were significantly enhanced, creating a tranquil and luxurious sanctuary in the bustling mountain city.
Next time I visit Chongqing, Regent Chongqing will still be my top choice, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends traveling or vacationing in Chongqing. It's truly worth revisiting.
GGuest UserI forgot to take pictures, but the river view was genuinely great! To the left, there's a big bridge, and to the right, Chaotianmen. Getting around was super convenient; the subway station is right downstairs. Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, the Two Rivers Night Cruise, and Shibati are all nearby. We managed to hit all of them in one afternoon and evening. The front desk service was excellent, and they provided all the toiletries we needed. The only minor downside was that the bathroom door didn't seal well, which caused a bit of water to spill out into the hallway.
GGuli*shiqiI saw this place on ** and decided to book it, and it turned out to be great, exactly as described on **. First, the location is a huge plus. Step out the door, and to your left is the famous Hongyadong in Chongqing, a popular photo spot that you can even see from the hotel. It's only a 3-minute walk to Jiefangbei. Although the lobby is on the 25th floor, it doesn't affect check-in. The rooms are newly renovated and even come with pre-prepared coffee capsules, which is excellent for coffee lovers. I especially want to mention the hotel's linens; they are incredibly soft and comfortable to sleep under. After a day of sightseeing, a good night's sleep here is simply wonderful. Highly recommended!
ZZuihuasuPerhaps it's because I studied at the most authoritative university program concerning Chongqing's history, but I've always been intensely curious about buildings with historical significance, especially hotels that have transformed from them. Whether I'm sitting on the sofa or lying in bed in my room, I can't help but imagine the stories that once unfolded here. While every space, given enough time, surely holds a fascinating past, spaces with explicit historical information make these fantasies more concrete, or less ambiguous, by narrowing the scope of imagination. I recall a story about an elderly French woman in the last century who came to the French Navy Barracks on Chongqing's Nanbin Road to search for her birthplace. The Ren'ai Hall, built in 1902 by the French Catholic Church, served as both a church and a hospital. During the Anti-Japanese War, it sheltered abandoned infants, earning it the nickname 'Orphanage' among older Chongqing residents. Where did the children born or raised at Ren'ai Hall go? Did any try to return and explore their past? What did they discover? These imagined scenarios could form a novel, and with a large enough sample size, they might even be true historical events. Regardless, the current Ren'ai Hall, both in terms of its guests' physical and mental state and the hotel's physical space, feels far more relaxed and peaceful than it did in the past.
After booking the room, several concierges were responsible throughout the entire process. The whole arrangement was very meticulous, and thanks to these arrangements, I personally had no questions that I needed to proactively ask during my entire stay. Before check-in, the concierge would inform me of the exact drop-off points for various transportation methods, and upon arrival, staff members were there to greet me. If I had a lot of luggage, even more staff would assist. The concierge also pre-booked a travel photography team. Teacher Zihao from Zixuan Photography, who handled our travel shoot, was very professional, both in his understanding of light and his ability to capture fleeting moments. A tip for friends who plan to do their own hair and makeup before the shoot: pay close attention to the final effect (the photography team has their own hair and makeup artists who can do it at the hotel, but due to time constraints, I did my own before check-in). It was my first time getting professional makeup, and I had no experience, so the result was so drastic I barely recognized myself, which unfortunately wasted many good photos. The afternoon tea was unremarkable, but whether it was breakfast, afternoon tea, or the evening sweet soup, a concierge could deliver it to the room. As for the room's interior design and the hotel's scenic views, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. (P.S.: Luckily, my room was upgraded to the Qiongyu Fanhua Suite, which I heard is the same one a certain celebrity stayed in.)
GGuest UserThe environment and service at Xiannvshan National Forest Park Bayu Homestay are both top-notch. The guesthouse offers pick-up and drop-off services to and from the scenic area entrance. AAnne-Marie BoyeldieuExcellent location in the heart of the lively (and very touristy) Yuzhong district. Very well served by public transport. Easy access from the train station. A very warm welcome from the reception staff. The room I was given (17th floor) was perfect. Spacious, well-furnished and equipped, bright, clean, and comfortable. A quiet and pleasant place if you're not constantly sightseeing. Beautiful view of the city. Very good quality bedding. Very clean and comfortable sheets, duvets, and pillows. Good-sized bathroom. Very clean as well. Good quality bath towels. The wall-mounted towel/clothes rack is poorly placed above the toilet, which is neither practical nor hygienic. And the electric towel warmer wasn't working. The room is equipped with a hairdryer, electric kettle, small refrigerator, garment steamer, and small safe. Bottled water is provided daily. In addition to coffee (in the morning) and herbal tea (all day) available in the spacious lobby with its river view, there is also a microwave and ice maker. The room's Wi-Fi was excellent. The lighting was good, and the electrical outlets were compatible with European plugs without the need for an adapter. USB ports were also available. The central air conditioning was efficient and quiet. There was a large wall mirror at the entrance to the room. Drawbacks: 1. As a non-smoker, and having specifically requested a non-smoking room in my reservation, I found the lingering smell of smoke in the room upon arrival very unpleasant. 2. There was no dedicated luggage storage, as is common in many hotels in China; therefore, luggage was left open on the floor for the entire stay. 4. It's a shame there wasn't a small armchair and table to furnish the small mezzanine area of the room to better enjoy the view and the room's space. Bonus: Laundry service with four self-service washing machines on the 18th floor. Detergent provided. I really liked the drying area equipped with portable electric dryers, which are less damaging to clothes than regular tumble dryers. Breakfast restaurant: this is the only downside. Located on the 15th floor of the building (which houses several hotels). Buffet breakfast from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. The place is cozy with a lovely view. However, depending on the day and time of day, it can be cramped and noisy, too small to comfortably accommodate all the guests without enough proper high tables. As a result, I ended up having to share my table with noisy people chewing and burping, when all I wanted was to enjoy a peaceful breakfast. The buffet wasn't extraordinary, but it was decent and well-stocked. The gym area is in the same room, separated by a half-wall (I'm not even sure I can call it a gym when there are only four machines crammed together with no space around them, and where the food bin and the restaurant's dirty dish cart are also located. Forget about getting a workout in the morning!). It's a shame they don't offer a better, quieter breakfast area for this crucial moment at the start of the day. Overall, the value for money is still quite good, even if it's significantly more expensive than Chengdu, for example, for a hotel of the same standard.
GGuest UserAs a Marriott 'boutique' brand, the Moxy Chongqing truly exceeded my expectations! The overall vibe is relaxed and vibrant. On the 29th floor, there are arcade games and board games, so waiting to check-in was far from boring. The room design is very thoughtful; the folding table and coat hooks are practical and save space, and there are plenty of USB ports, making charging super convenient. The 24-hour gym and self-service laundry room are such thoughtful touches – no worries at all about laundry when you're on a business trip or vacation. The breakfast spread is rich and varied, even offering local Chongqing noodles, really showcasing the local flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive to requests, and the late check-out option was a very humane touch!
AAnonymous UserExcellent service. Excellent location. Near the BRT (which we took only once). The service apartment is located in a block (that also had another hotel entrance), where the entrance to Fandiao is hidden from the main road. But aside from that, the building is noticeable and is the first tall building just before the viewing deck for the Qiansimen bridge and just before Hongyatong, as traffic flows (one way).
My specific booking for this room was for a Saturday night - a one night extension - and we chose the Hongyatong view, as our original room was already booked. We could see the massive crowds from our window view out there at and around Hongyatong and on the Qiansimen Bridge on the May 1 weekend
But the previous 4 nights, we were booked under my husband's name, and that room allowed us to see the drones show from the comfort of our large and beautiful room. That first room had a wall-to-wall window, that allowed us a view of the river, a block of apartments right in front of us, and some street views. There are pros and cons to different rooms. The drone show is on weekends. If you are not on weekends, the HongYa Tong view is nicer, but only my first room (which was much larger at 40 sq metres) had a long window seat which was lovely.
I share a few photos, one with a view of Hongyatong (this booking, and from the other room, where we could see the drone show. Remember they are different rooms. But you could easily come downstairs and watch the drones from the little corner outside the lobby. There's still a crowd, but you could see the drones rising to the sky.
The customer service was excellent, for some reason, we were first given paper disposable towels in our first room, and I rejected that for cloth towels which were then given to us. The reception is on the 19th floor, and all the service personnel were willing to please (communicate via WeChat, with translation). And always asked if there were things they could do.
Some idiosyncrasies (from a Malaysian view). They have glasses in the room but no cups/mugs for making tea the conventional English way, but the customer service brought cups with handles when we asked for them. No tea or coffee sachets provided but there were bottles of water and soft drinks, which we didn't take. I think it may be the context where soft drinks (in th fridge) were deemed more suitable and glasses were provided more for soft drinks. I had brought some 3-in-1 coffee sachets all the way from home just in case, that seemed providential when we checked in.
Corridors in front of the lifts on the floors are motion sensored, so we were at first surprised by the darkness when the lift opened, but we got used to it. You have to decide whether you support energy efficiency or not. 😂
All in, we had a memorable time in Chongqing, thanks also to Fandiao. I would go and stay again and recommend it. Just bear in mind that the road right in front of the hotel is closed to the traffic at night on weekends (and likely public holidays). Plenty of food nearby, and beautiful spots for photos. There's also a Lawson store across the bridge 100 metres away where we bought our sandwiches, buns, oden, and coffee, for snacks.
GGuest UserI highly recommend the Le Méridien Chongqing, Nanchuan! It's located right in the Nanchuan Wanda business district, next to Line 3's Gongmao Station, making it super convenient to get to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. Plus, there's a one-stop shop for food and shopping right downstairs. As expected from a Marriott property, the quality is top-notch. The lobby has high ceilings and a strong artistic vibe, and the spiral staircase is fantastic for photos. The rooms are spacious and bright with separate wet and dry areas, and the amenities are premium. The high-floor rooms offer expansive views and stunning nightscapes. Sara and Daisy provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service – always smiling, enthusiastic, and quick to respond. The breakfast spread was excellent, a rich mix of Western and Chinese options, making for a perfect experience. It's ideal for both business trips and leisure travel. I was extremely satisfied with my stay!
