"The hotel's location is quite far from the city center. The decor is average. My main complaint is about the staff's service attitude; overall, both their service and professionalism need improvement. First, at 9:20 AM, we went to the first floor for breakfast. A woman in a gray uniform stopped us at the restaurant entrance, telling us it was peak dining time and we had to wait to be seated because there were no empty tables inside. We offered to go in and find a table ourselves to avoid bothering the staff. The employee immediately dropped her fake smile and insisted we wait at the door. When we finally entered, we found many empty tables. Throughout our meal, staff repeatedly came over to remind us that breakfast service ended at 10 AM and urged us to hurry and get whatever we wanted to eat. Second, when checking out, a tall male staff member at the front desk was unsmiling and impatient, answering my questions with rhetorical questions. While the 800+ yuan room rate isn't high, the service attitude of some staff members is probably only worth 250 yuan. I hope the hotel strengthens its staff's ethical and professional training! In short, this is not a recommended hotel."

"The room having a washing machine was a huge plus! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. I've stayed here many times already. The location is great – convenient and in a good area. It's also quiet around here, not noisy at all. There are a lot of international guests staying at the hotel."

"Just like other online reviews mentioned, the king bed room is made up of two single beds pushed together! The room curtains also do a terrible job of blocking out light! And the soundproofing isn't great either! In the mornings, I could always hear people talking next door and footsteps from the room above! I hope the hotel sees these reviews and makes improvements! On the plus side, the transportation is very convenient – Zhenru subway station is right downstairs! And there are plenty of dining options nearby!"

"We were amazed with this hotel for its amazing service cleanliness and it's variety of breakfast foods. They also provide a free midnight snack for guests between 8:30 and 10 pm which was a surprise! There's a chef that cooks noodles and wonton soup for you on the spot. We didn't realise it was included in the price and it was delightful! There was one problem with tobacco smoke coming up through one of the vents and they arranged an engineer to sort that out for us immediately. We really enjoyed the experience here and look forward to staying when we're transiting through Shanghai next time."

It offers excellent value for money with impeccable cleanliness. The subway is just a 10-minute walk away, providing smooth access to all major attractions. My travel companions were all very satisfied, and I would prioritize this hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai. Highly recommended for travelers."

"My child had an exam nearby, so I wanted to find a close place to rest. I'd seen this hotel being renovated and thought I'd give it a try. I arrived earlier than my check-in time and asked if there was an available room I could get into sooner. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes until a room was ready, and then they gave me the key card. Upon entering, it was clear the room had just been cleaned – the floor was still wet, a sign it had just been mopped. It had a smart toilet, and I didn't use the shower. The hand soap was verbena-scented, and there were two bottles of Nongfu Spring bottled water. Being on the side facing the residential area, it was relatively quiet. The air conditioning was powerful. The TV was a Skyworth smart TV, which allowed for on-demand content and screen mirroring. There's a small booth seating area with cushions and a small coffee table in the room, which is great for eating and means you're not just confined to the bed. Everything I've mentioned so far was satisfactory, but now for a pretty critical issue. As shown in image three, this huge bag of trash was left outside my door from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. It was ridiculous. Every time I went in or out, I could smell the garbage. There's actually a partition between rooms a bit further down; if it had been placed even 5 or 10 meters further away, I wouldn't have had to complain. This was particularly disappointing. The trash caused significant air pollution and was a very unpleasant experience. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and properly trains and assesses its service staff."

"Cons: On my first day, I was shocked to be given a room that had clearly been used. They eventually switched me to a new room, but I'm guessing it was a staff oversight? Pros: I've stayed here multiple times, and I honestly think the value for money is really good. The location is also very convenient because there's a subway station nearby."

"I blindly picked this hotel for a show with the kids, mainly because of the distance. I booked a room with a living room, thinking I'd need an extra bed, but the sofa was even bigger and more comfortable than an extra bed, plus it had two bathrooms – totally exceeded my expectations. It's super convenient for getting around with a subway station nearby. Downstairs, there's a Starbucks and a 7-Eleven, which is a big plus. The front desk staff were all great, especially Nana, who even gave us some White Rabbit candy (a Shanghai souvenir) when we checked out. There was also a sweet, petite waitress with a round face in the restaurant who provided excellent and friendly service; even my mom had to compliment her before we left. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Shanghai!👍"
