"Highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Shizuoka! **Environment:** You can get here by taking the airport shuttle to the final stop, Shin-Shizuoka or Shizuoka JR Station, then it's about a ten-minute walk straight ahead. It's really convenient, and super close to Don Quijote! It was so easy to grab things late at night. **Cleanliness:** The room was small but very new and clean. The large public bath on the 14th floor was super relaxing for both soaking and using the sauna. There were hardly any people, so you pretty much had it all to yourself. **Facilities:** The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I stayed for three days, and the variety changed every day. Every dish was exquisite and tasty, clearly prepared with care. The iced coffee was incredibly good, not bitter or sour – I regret not having more cups! 🤣 From 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, they also offer free salad and curry rice. Paired with a melon soda, looking out at Shizuoka during the 'blue hour' was just delightful! **Service:** If you're staying at the beginning and end of your trip, you can store your luggage for free during the days in between, which is super friendly for multi-day travelers!"

"My brother and I stayed at Hotel Associa Shizuoka during our trip, and it was absolutely fantastic. The location couldn't be better – it's directly connected to JR Shizuoka Station, which made traveling around the region so easy and convenient. The view was absolutely breathtaking! Our room was on one of the upper floors, and we had a stunning panoramic view of Mount Fuji right from our window. Waking up to that sight every morning was unforgettable. The city views at night were equally beautiful. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The beds were great, and we slept really well. The bathroom was also well-equipped and modern. The breakfast was excellent – a wonderful buffet with both Japanese and Western options, all fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring. The staff were professional, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall, Hotel Associa Shizuoka offered us amazing value, incredible views, and top-notch service. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shizuoka!"

"I've never stayed in such a dirty and messy hotel in Japan. It's hard to believe this place has over 4 stars on Trip.com. The location is decent, very close to Shizuoka Station, though most of the shopping is on the other side of the tracks, which is fine. You can easily spot Mount Fuji when taking the elevator. The non-Japanese staff at the front desk weren't very friendly either. The most important point is that every day I was either killing cockroaches or other small bugs. I couldn't even leave my suitcase open for long. I'm seriously fed up. Many parts of the bathroom were moldy too. I slept with a constant sense of dread every night. Just writing this review is giving me goosebumps. I've definitely decided not to stay here again. Maybe I just had particularly bad luck. This is my honest experience, for reference only."

"A nice hotel with excellent hotel staff. Hotel room is quite large for Japanese standards. Rooms are clean and quiet. Hotel is about 5 or so minutes walk from the train station. I was able to lug around two large luggages to and from the station and hotel. Not to far of a walk. Would stay with again, but they were fully booked. Oh well, next time i will spend a little longer in Shizuoka."

"Very satisfied! A particular highlight was the young Chinese lady at the front desk. She's Korean Chinese, speaks Korean, and offered incredibly detailed information with a wonderfully kind and approachable demeanor. Right across from the hotel is Chikusaya, which makes for a convenient and reliable spot for everyday meals."

"The Shizuoka Station area is bustling, but this hotel offers a peaceful retreat right in the thick of it. From the North Exit, walk straight across the street for about ten minutes, then turn right, and you'll easily spot the tall hotel building. As with all Toyoko Inn hotels, a simple breakfast is included; this branch, however, exclusively serves onigiri (rice balls), soup, and beverages. The rooms are on the smaller side, so if you're traveling with two suitcases, you'll need to be clever with space. You can pick up amenities like toothbrushes and other essentials at the front desk. It's a solid choice for those looking for a convenient stopover or transit stay."

"We stayed in Koko for 14 nights and enjoyed amenities bar (the best), welcome drinks (wide range), supper (unexpected) and hot bath. Front desk, breakfast and cleaning staff are friendly and kind. They allow early check-in at 2.30pm and kept my friend's luggage for a few hours after check-out. I had a serious fall at Mochimune seaside park on the 25th very early in the morning and surfers helped me to call for an ambulance. Thanks to their kindness I received medical help in time at Shizuoka hospital. I've transited to Tokyo by shinkansen today for aftercare before flying home to Singapore on the 30th. Thank you Mochimune people, ambulance staff, Shizuoka hospital ER staff, Koko hotel front desk, and Matsukiyo staff for their kindness. Please enjoy the many photos of Shizuoka-shi I've taken. "I was a bit disappointed with our stay. The room looked much more spacious in the photos, but the room we were given felt quite small and cramped. It also didn’t have any view, which was disappointing. I was expecting the room to be brighter as well, but the lighting felt too dim. Overall, the room did not match the impression shown in the photos. There were also only a few pillows provided. I was also a bit confused about the tea and coffee because there was nothing in the tray, so I wasn’t sure where to get them. Another inconvenience was that there was only one power outlet near the bed for charging phones. Since there were two of us, only one person could charge nearby, while the other had to charge farther away. Even though there were some downsides, there were good things as well. The location was very convenient — as soon as you step out of the hotel, everything is nearby, including Ichiran, shopping malls, and plenty of places to eat."
