"best part is the common area, which has free flow drinks! best spot to unwind after a long day~ as a solo traveller, the room was perfect for me & comes with the bathroom amenities required and hangers at an area for me to dry my clothes! there’s also quite a lot to see in the namba area and it is very accessible, including having the OCAT just about 7 minutes away. locked myself out of the room once & the staff was very helpful! would 100% come back!"

"The room is clean and quite spacious compared with other same-class hotels. They also provide microwave in the front office, so that you can heat your meals, amenities also quite complete. The location is also excellent—it's within walking distance to the train station, making it easy to reach many restaurants and shopping areas."

"The hostel is located nearby JR Namba station (South Exit) only 1 min by walk and there is the elevator in the building on the right hand side of south exit of JR namba station that you can use to get down and the building is connected with JR Namba station south exit. There is separate floor for only women that you have to tap the keycard in the elevator to go up to your floor and tap again on the door to get in the main room. On the women’s floor, there are living room, bedroom, bathroom, toilet rooms, onsen rooms, changing room, locker rooms, makeup spaces that offer you the makeup remover , cleansing foam, hairdryer, hairspray, Hair straightener, Curling iron) and all are separate rooms in the same floor. Moreover, they offer you for first check in with free pajamas, towel, hair towel, slippers, and more facilities that you need for travel. Also there are vending machines, laundry machine and dryer machine on the floor that you can use 24/7. The staff were super nice and helpful! There is a good tiny coffee shop nearby the hostel, I’d highly recommend!"

"I had the most pleasant stay at Meander Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka! I was initially concerned about the size of the room, as I had heard that hotel rooms in Japan tend to be quite small. However, I was pleasantly surprised when we were able to comfortably open two suitcases at the same time in the room which was plenty of space for two people! The hotel’s location was very convenient, making it easy to get around the city. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable stay. The highlight, though, was the amazing staff. They were so kind, helpful, and attentive to all our needs, making the stay even more enjoyable. A special shout-out to Julia, who I discovered is a fellow Carat – what a fun surprise! It’s those little moments that really made the stay special. I would absolutely stay at Meander again next time I'm in Osaka. Thanks for such a great experience!"

"Hotel were offering late checkouts to guests who left 5* reviews, so I feel that the reviews have been artificially inflated by people rating 5* so that they can get late checkout. Location was quite far from the JR Namba station and even further from the metro Namba station. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom was tiny, kitchenette had a raised lip which was easy to trip over or stub your toes on. However, the size of the room was good, there was a good amount of space. It would be ok to spend a night or two here but I think we were there 5 nights which wasn’t great with the uncomfortable bed. When we checked in we were told a room number of an uncleaned room and had to ring out of hours to swap rooms, but that was all resolved quickly by the hotel. Also to note, the keyboxes didn’t feel very safe/ secure because the codes followed a pattern (so if you knew one you’d know the other rooms), but we didn’t use the lockbox except for when we checked in so it didn’t affect us, but just something to consider. Overall it was ok for a budget hotel but I think the reviews make it seem too good to be true!"

"This guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! It's spotlessly clean and, crucially, very spacious – much larger than your typical Japanese hotel room. It comes with an induction cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator, which is great for preparing simple meals. The location is excellent too, about 300 meters from Daikokucho Station on the Midosuji Line. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and it's a particularly large one with a wide variety of goods, perfect for grabbing breakfast. I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again on my next trip to Osaka."

"This is an apartment-style hotel, perfect for families with kids. While there's no laundry room, the individual rooms come with an induction cooktop, allowing you to prepare meals. A big plus is the balcony in the room, which is a fantastic feature for a hotel. The location is great, with Tsutenkaku Tower, Kuromon Market, and Shinsaibashi all within close proximity."

"This was our second stay at Hotel Monterey Grasmere, and this time I opted for a city view room since it was available. The view overlooking Osaka was fantastic and definitely worth it. One of the biggest reasons we returned is the hotel’s unbeatable convenience. Although it’s about an 8–15 minute walk to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, having both the train station and OCAT right next door makes getting around incredibly easy. Taking the airport limousine bus from OCAT was also a much more relaxed and hassle-free experience compared to navigating the train with luggages and the usual crowds. It’s a convenience we really appreciated."

"Location is excellent as it's walking distance to Dotonbori and Namba Station which links directly to KIX. We ordered triple room and the size is pretty spacious that there's enough space to open big luggages and storage. Minor criticism though on the matress base which are already having permanent stains as shown in the photos. Should have replaced the cloth cover or at least cover them with another layer of cloth to make them look more pleasant. Another improvement that can be done is the water faucet system which is rather old method , so adjusting water temp is still pretty manual using 2 turning knob instead of just one like other hotels."

"This hotel is pretty good, although it's a bit of a walk from the subway station, about ten minutes or so (but that's not a big deal). The staff are also very warm and friendly, and they were very patient and kind with us foreign tourists. The room is small but has everything you need, including a washing machine and microwave. Plus, the hotel feels very safe, located in a quiet residential area. There are also many convenience stores nearby, like Ministop, 7-Eleven, and FamilyMart."
