"The reserved room did not have a private bathroom, so I spent 7,000 yen at the front desk to upgrade to a room with a private bathroom. The quality of breakfast and dinner is also inferior to that of the nearby Jokura Hotel. All in all, apart from maintaining the traditional hot spring culture, Suantang Hot Spring really has nothing to attract people."

"I booked a Japanese-style tatami room. I originally planned to visit Mount Hakkoda and Sukayu Onsen, but unfortunately, it was snowing heavily, making it impossible to get around without a car. So, I ended up just watching TV and building snowmen at the hotel the whole time. The hotel itself has good views and dining options. There's a small convenience store at the hotel (selling simple food like instant noodles and peanuts, ski equipment, etc., but no daily necessities). The bathing facilities are communal, though there's also a shower in the room, but no toiletries like shower gel. I recommend using the public bathhouse to experience a Japanese inn's bathhouse, which has indoor and outdoor pools, plus free ice cream. There's a shuttle bus from the hotel to Aomori Station at 9:00 AM, and another from Aomori Station to the hotel at 3:30 PM (pre-booking required). A taxi from Shin-Aomori Station to the hotel costs 15,000 JPY. During the snow season, you can't get an Uber at all, so you're reliant on the hotel shuttle. This hotel is suitable for skiers. For sightseeing, I recommend visiting during the non-snowy season. (P.S. The snow-covered mountains in Aomori are truly magnificent, and the snowy scenery is beautiful.)"

"Breakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside."

"Very close to the Hakkoda Mountain Ropeway Station, making it very convenient for those using public transportation. On the first day, we took the JR Tohoku Bus from Aomori Railway Station. After storing our luggage, we took the ropeway up the mountain. If the weather is good, there's enough time to walk around the summit. The hotel dinner was plentiful. Breakfast was decent. The onsen facilities were of good quality. The next day, we took an early bus to Lake Towada. We could then hike the Oirase Gorge Trail."

"Mainly for passengers or skiers on the Bajiatian Mountain, just next to the Bajiatian Mountain Climbing Cable Car Station. The facilities are a bit old and there are many bugs at night. The staff are very friendly and attentive."

"Staff are friendly. Rooms are true to pictures as shown in booking page. I managed to get here with their city bus before picking up a rental car. There's a tonkatsu place just across the street. Convenient spot to settle in."

"This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Aomori. The accommodation is comfortable, with views of mountains and a stream right outside the window. The buffet breakfast and dinner are incredibly rich and varied, and the atmosphere is relaxed and never crowded. Soaking in the outdoor hot spring, listening to the stream, and admiring the green mountains is truly wonderful. There's a free bus daily for hiking along the Oirase Stream, and you can also take a public bus to Lake Towada, with the bus stop conveniently located just a 3-minute walk to the right of the hotel entrance."

"We thought it's going to be fresh in August up the mountain but it wasn't. Very hot and without air-conditioning you'll be suffering. Rooms are tiny and it barely fit 4 people. Road to get there is rough so make sure you have an off road car (the last 5 min only). The onsen is insanely beautiful especially the women's. Food was pre-served and left out in the heat to stand. Didn't look particularly appealing. Shared bathrooms."

"My family and I stayed in a Western-style house on the third floor of the new building. Since we were driving, transportation wasn't a problem. There are many hot spring hotels nearby, but since we have elderly family members, we needed a room with a toilet. The choice was between Hoshino and Tsuta Onsen. I'm so glad we chose Tsuta Onsen. The thousand-year-old secret hot springs are authentic, the decor and space are comfortable, and there were no foreign tourists (it seemed we were the only foreigners there). The breakfast (buffet) and dinner (Japanese-style) were both very filling and delicious. There's also the secret Tsuta Pond nearby for a stroll. It was completely worth it. P.S. The starry sky at night is truly beautiful 😍"

"The hotel rooms are large, clean, and the service is friendly. Dinner is French cuisine. There is no bathroom in the traditional restaurant. The experience of taking a shower in the hot spring is different. Come to Oirase Stream for a walk."
