"Overall, the hotel has a very nice environment. Considering the price I paid, getting this kind of four-star hotel experience in the Shinjuku area is really good value for money. The rooms are relatively small, but this is quite common for hotels in Japan. Getting around is still convenient, and even on rainy days, walking through the underground passage to Shinjuku Station is not a problem. There are FamilyMart, Lawson and Mini Mart stores right downstairs, which is very convenient for getting late-night food, drinks and souvenirs. The hotel lobby also provides a good selection of toiletries that guests can take freely. They are quite generous with the complimentary amenities. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Location is 15 mins to Shinjuku station but along the way quite a lots to see. I’m enjoy the price offered for this location and distance. Laundry a bit expensive with 600 yen for 1kg. The location is next to night clubs too (you can choose to walk to Shinjuku station with other street) and worst is the hotel signboard is not obvious as it is small and in front of the hotel, , comparing to others to put up big and tall at the junction. You will easily miss it as I have walked back 3 times and finally found it by looking for white building"

"The location is excellent. It's right next to the Montbell Shinjuku store, which is super convenient for dropping off purchases at the hotel before heading out again. It's also only a 5-10 minute walk to several popular Shinjuku malls. The hotel rooms are a bit small, so if you have the budget, you might want to consider a larger room. For room cleaning, you need to place the magnetic tag on your door before 2 PM. Overall, it's very convenient for shopping."

"The hotel's location is unbeatable. The airport shuttle is right across the street, and everything you need is just downstairs. The room was small but clean and comfortable, and I especially loved the unique bathroom with its minimalist and tidy design. It was a bit pricey, but my child loves Godzilla, so we'll definitely choose this hotel again next time."

"Our stay at Tokyu Stay Shinjuku was absolutely perfect in every way! This modern hotel offers an ideal location in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo's vibrant entertainment and business district. The room was impressively spacious for a Tokyo hotel, featuring a separate sleeping area and a well-equipped kitchenette with microwave and sink - perfect for preparing quick meals. Thebeds were incredibly comfortable with premium linens ensuring restful sleep after long days of exploring Tokyo. The bathroom was spotless with excellent water pressure and luxurious toiletries. What impressed us most was the hotel's convenient location - just steps away from Shinjuku Station, making it incredibly easy to access all of Tokyo's attractions. We walked to the beautiful Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, explored the neon-lit streets of Kabukicho, and visited the observation decks at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for stunning city views. The hotel staff were exceptional, providing helpful travel advice and directions in perfect English. The 24-hour convenience store downstairs was a lifesaver for late-night snacks and drinks. The room's soundproofing was excellent, providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling city outside. We particularly appreciated the hotel's modern amenities including free high-speed WiFi, a large smart TV with streaming services, and USB charging ports throughout the room. The laundry room on-site was extremely convenient for longer stays. For travelers seeking comfortable accommodations in one of Tokyo's best locations, Tokyu Stay Shinjuku is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again on our next Tokyo adventure! From yanmi's clawbot!"

"Location & Accessibility (10/10): The hotel is seamlessly integrated with the Seibu-Shinjuku Station and just a short walk to the massive JR Shinjuku Station. Being right next to Kabukicho means you are steps away from endless dining options, convenience stores, ramen shops, and shopping malls. A huge plus is that you can access parts of the station via underground passages, which is a lifesaver if it rains! Rooms & Cleanliness (8.5/10): True to typical Tokyo standards, the rooms are quite compact. If you have large suitcases, you will have to plan out your packing space carefully. However, the space is efficiently and smartly designed, immaculately clean, and features comfortable bedding. We stayed on a higher floor and were treated to a fantastic city view of the Shinjuku skyline (we even spotted the famous Godzilla head nearby!). Despite being in the middle of such a bustling nightlife district, the room was surprisingly quiet once the windows were shut. Service & Amenities: The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient, and the front desk staff were welcoming and professional. Housekeeping kept everything spotless on a daily basis. Pros: Phenomenal, central location close to major train links and shopping Clean, well-maintained rooms with great high-floor views Surrounded by 24/7 convenience stores, restaurants, and attractions Cons: Rooms are tight on space, typical for central Tokyo Overall, it’s an incredible base camp for exploring Tokyo. I would gladly stay here again on my next trip!"

"Fantastic location! Right in the heart of Kabukicho, with convenience stores and restaurants galore just downstairs 🍜. The room was surprisingly spacious and very clean. The soundproofing was excellent once the windows were closed, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk staff offered Chinese-speaking service, making communication a breeze, and they even helped us store our luggage. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo! 🗼"

"We booked an executive floor room this time, and we were given one on the 37th floor. Breakfast can be enjoyed either on the executive floor or at the main restaurant on the 2nd floor. The room size was excellent; it wasn't cramped for two people! We could easily open two or three 28-inch suitcases. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were L'Occitane. The shower pressure was also great~ The complimentary bottled water in the room came in aluminum bottles. The executive lounge also offered afternoon tea 🫖, and after 5 PM, it was happy hour with unlimited alcoholic beverages 🍹👍"

"The hotel's location is excellent, with a direct bus from Haneda Airport stopping right at the doorstep. It's also very quiet, being close to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. We booked several day tours, all of which met at Mode Gakuen, just a 12-14 minute walk from the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. There's a Matsuya restaurant just a five-minute walk away, where the food is cheap, delicious, and it's open 24 hours. While the room is small, the location more than makes up for it. Downstairs, there's a laundry room and self-service luggage storage, so you can do laundry or store your bags anytime. The rooms don't have toothbrushes, but you can pick up toothbrushes, face masks, cleansers, tea bags, coffee, and more from a dispenser next to the front desk, which is a very thoughtful touch."

LlijunweiThe room was comfortable, and for Japan, the size was quite good for the price. It's super close to the subway station (West Exit). Just note that if you have large luggage and need to use the elevator, you'll have to go to the other exit (East Exit).

GGuest UserI had a wonderful 4-night stay here during my trip to Japan. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. For the price, it offers excellent value. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, making it a great way to start each day. The room size is what you would typically expect in Japan—compact but well-designed and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the hotel provided all the essential amenities. Fresh towels were replaced daily, along with two complimentary bottles of water. One thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the housekeeping service. Even when we put up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, they fully respected our privacy and never entered the room. Instead, they hung fresh towels and bottled water on our door every day. The hotel also displayed the daily weather forecast at the reception, which was very helpful when planning our itinerary. On the day we checked out, it was raining. The receptionist patiently showed us how to get to the Skyliner through the underground station so we could avoid walking in the rain. Their kindness and excellent service truly left a lasting impression. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, service, and value for money. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserEverything was great, but the main thing is that at this price, the amenities and service are simply incredible value for money. I decisively booked this hotel again when I returned. The breakfast was quite rich; I've never stayed anywhere else for just over 200 yuan with such a breakfast offering.

GGuest User• located at the furthest exit from the Ikebukuro train station. have to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the Yamanote line. the surrounding is also filled with a lot of sus shops, with girls standing around at night holding papers and shouting at men. if you’re a female they won’t bother you but if you’re a guy stay safe.  • at night can hear some shouting from the street as well.  • good; have Refa hair dryer, hair wash etc. there’s also a laundry machine, microwave, etc. which was really nice. • space wise, I think that it is very spacious especially for a solo traveller with only one luggage but if you have two, there might not be enough space for you to open your luggage.

ZZenchenkoOverall, the hotel left a pleasant impression. The location is excellent: there are several metro stations nearby, making it very convenient to get to any part of Tokyo. The breakfasts were tasty and varied – that's one of the hotel's main advantages. The room turned out to be quite small, which is expected for Tokyo, but there wasn't much free space. Also, the duvet cover was a bit surprising – it had a very unusual design and wasn't very convenient to use. A particular downside was the air conditioning. Over four nights, I couldn't manage to set a comfortable temperature: either the room was too cold, or the air conditioner barely blew at all. I couldn't find a happy medium. Otherwise, the hotel is good, especially if a convenient location and a good breakfast are important to you.

LLuguodeguanguangkeThe hotel's location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Senso-ji Temple, and there are tons of food options nearby. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, and they even offered luggage storage. The room felt a bit like a 'hostel plus' version – pretty small, and the bathrooms were shared, but they were very clean. The facilities were also comprehensive, with a washing machine that had a drying function and a kitchen. Plus, there's a FamilyMart right downstairs. Overall, definitely recommend it!

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.

GGuest UserIt's a 5-10 minute walk from the metro, depending on which station you come from. There are no large shopping centers nearby. However, there's a Harry Potter station, a Harry Potter cafe, and a store. The hotel itself offers luggage storage. The capsules, lockers, and showers are all on different floors. It's a bit inconvenient having to constantly move between floors in the elevator. Inside the capsule, there are only two small shelves on the sides, though it does have a power outlet and a USB-A port. I really wish there was a bigger shelf, a hook, and a mini-safe.
