HHarimauHutanWe had such a lovely stay at Villa Shion Biei. It’s not a hotel, but a beautiful private house, which made the whole experience feel extra cozy and special. The villa was clean, spacious, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The surroundings were stunning, especially with all the snow. It felt like staying in a peaceful winter wonderland, and we had so much fun playing in the snow right outside the house. Everything was well-prepared, and the stay felt very private and homely.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to enjoy the snow and nature in Biei.

Qqls76It is a B&B run by a couple. It is clean and tidy. There is a bathroom in the room, but you have to go to the first floor to take a bath. The Western breakfast is good. It is about 3 kilometers away from Biei Station. When you arrive at Biei Station, call the landlord and he will come to pick you up. It will also be delivered to the station at some time.
Very good experience, recommended.

นนักเดินทางอินโทรเวิร์ตThe accommodation is much better than I thought. We went in the winter and the snow was really thick. The villa has 2 floors. The ground floor has a kitchen, a dining area, and a backyard area. The upper floor is a bedroom with a large window for sleeping and watching the snow. If you go in the winter, you have to push your luggage in a cart yourself. It's fun. The atmosphere around the accommodation is good, but it's more suitable for people with cars because it's quite far from the city.

GGuest UserThe last bus from Biei Station to the waterfall was around 6 PM, and it was already completely dark. Worried about potential issues, I contacted the hotel to arrange a taxi from JR Station. The ride was over 20 minutes and cost 8000+ yen – ouch!
Overall, the hotel is quite old and simple; the lobby, rooms, and hot springs weren't particularly impressive. However, the buffet dinner was extensive, and their homemade curry sauce was excellent – I had several bowls!
The biggest highlights were the snowy forest outside my window and Shirogane Falls, which was just a three-minute walk away. Before 9 AM, it was easy to catch views of the blue skies and white clouds over the valley – absolutely worth it.

YYanxiaojiuIt is a B&B run by ********* and speaks Chinese. Dinner and breakfast are charged separately. Dinner is 4,500 yen and breakfast is 1,500 yen. I went there once in autumn and winter, and the food has not changed. If you are staying consecutively or going there for the second time, it is recommended to inform the owner in advance, and they will update some dishes for you. The room is a bit old and the public bathroom on the first floor is not open. If you have a car at night, it’s very convenient to go to Shinei-no-oka to watch the stars!

GGuest UserI am very satisfied with the stay, tatami room is clean and comfortable,the buffet dinner and breakfast are moderate in selection but high in quality. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, using fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavours. Not your typical crowded buffet — more of a calm, refined dining experience. Simple, but really satisfying.

AAnonymous UserWe were given a triple room. While the room was a bit old, it had ample desk space and very comfortable chairs. The hot spring is a sulfate spring. They offer a free shuttle service, departing from the hotel at 7:25 PM and from Aoi Pond at 8:15 PM, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was even better. This hotel truly lives up to Japan's high standards.
