I recently stayed at Eureka Hotel Penang, and overall, the experience was below expectations. Service: The service was average—nothing particularly outstanding or memorable. Facilities: The parking system was quite inconvenient and costly, especially for multiple entries and overnight stays. In addition, the environment was rather noisy, which made it difficult to rest comfortably. Cleanliness: This was the most disappointing aspect of the stay. The overall cleanliness was poor, and the toilet in particular was not properly cleaned(Urine Stain), which significantly affected the experience. Overall: There is room for improvement, particularly in cleanliness and facility management.

Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. The staffs are friendly and attentive. They fulfil our requirements without fail. The hotel is in a good location, not far from the shops and restaurant. The room were spacious and always spick and span after the housekeeping.

Don't book the 'Executive Suite' unless you're a large group. The Executive Suite has two rooms and can accommodate up to four people, but it's located in a separate, very old building. The bedding had a really strong, unpleasant odor – like curry and body odor. It was so bad, I couldn't sleep at all; it felt like crawling into someone else's dirty sheets. After insisting, the hotel moved me to a new room in the recently renovated building. The front desk staff's service was decent throughout this. Finally, in the new room, I could sleep peacefully. Location: It's relatively remote, about a 20-30 minute taxi ride from Georgetown and the city center. The closest shopping area is Queensbay Mall, about 1.6 km away, which has plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, so that's a plus. If you have an early flight the next day, it's a good transit stop.

The bathroom was also well taken care of, with all amenities properly stocked and sanitized. Housekeeping clearly does an excellent job, as the cleanliness was consistent throughout my stay. The environment felt comfortable and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a long day. I also appreciated the attention to detail, as even small areas like hallways and common spaces were kept in great condition. Overall, I had a very positive experience. The high standard of cleanliness made my stay much more enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hygienic place to stay.

The room was basic but functional, suitable if you’re just looking for a place to rest. While the facilities are simple and not luxurious, it offers reasonable value for the price. Overall, a practical choice for a short and budget-friendly stay.

It is close to the airport. That’s the only positive. Old and in need of maintenance. Air conditioning so noisy you have to turn it off to sleep. Evidence of mould in bathroom and bedroom.
