Stayed here 9 nights in a Deluxe Twin Room on the 14th floor and overall it was very good value for money (paid about 2131 AED for the stay).
👍 Highlights
Staff – Easily the best part of this hotel. Everyone was extremely polite, friendly and genuinely helpful throughout the stay. That level of hospitality really stood out and made a big difference.
Cleanliness – The room was kept clean every day and housekeeping did a very good job maintaining it.
Breakfast buffet – Surprisingly good variety. They had fresh omelettes made to order, pancakes, waffles, sausages, bacon, cereals and other options. The flavors leaned more toward Western breakfast styles so it didn’t fully match my Indian palate, but it was still a solid breakfast with plenty to choose from. The Mongolian rice was actually excellent.
Location for convenience – The hotel is right in the Binondo / Chinatown area, with plenty of restaurants around. There’s also a Starbucks and a nice café just steps from the hotel, plus an Anytime Fitness nearby. For my work it was very convenient.
⚠️ Things That Could Improve
Check-in process – I arrived around 10am hoping for early check-in, but still had to wait until the standard 3pm check-in time, which was a bit frustrating after a long trip.
Facilities feel dated – Some things like the hair dryer, TV and especially the gym equipment feel quite old and could definitely use an upgrade.
AC issues – The air-conditioning was slightly unpredictable at night. Not a big issue but you could wake up at 4 AM sweating🫢
Room service food – Not great. I ordered a chocolate lava cake that looked nice with two scoops of ice cream but the cake itself was quite bitter.
Minibar – Completely empty, which was surprising especially since the hotel takes a 10,000 peso deposit at check-in.
📍 Area
There are lots of food options nearby and the location is convenient, but the area can feel a bit rough late at night, so I preferred staying indoors after dark.
Final Thoughts
Overall I’d say about 3.5 stars but rounding up to 4, mainly because the staff were genuinely excellent and the stay was good value for money.
Would I stay here again?
Yes — for the value and the staff. I’d just probably skip room service next time.

Located in a very convenient community, with a 7-Eleven right downstairs, which is great for quick snacks or drinks. You can easily call a Grab or a car service directly to the hotel. It's close to all the major tourist attractions. If you enjoy walking, you can explore everything on foot, including all the important historical sites in the Philippines. I really liked it here! The accommodation was quiet and peaceful, and I felt the price was good for the value. It was clean and comfortable, just what I'd expect from a hotel. What I liked most is that once you get your bearings, you realize it's close to all the main attractions. It's also not too far from the train station; you can take the train almost to the last stop and then walk about 1.5 kilometers to reach the airport.

Got in our room around 2:30 pm. They seem to be really strict with early check-in unlike most hotels where you can get free early check-in from 12-1 pm. Easy to past time since mall is very accessible. Location is superb. Perfect for Binondo foodtrip. Room is nice for its price, but bathroom shower area can use some improvement. Jacuzzi and sauna area smells and doesn’t seem to be regularly cleaned. Feels unsanitary so we didn’t bother using it even if we wanted to. Wish they had a swimming pool.

Everything is okay. The staff are all friendly its just that I don’t like the smell of the lobby its too strong even in the room. Also, I wasn’t able to use TV since there’s some error according to staff. But the good thing about it is the location

Pros: This hotel is close to a market and a small mall. If you want to experience the natural ambiance of Manila, you can stay here. The staff is friendly and check-in is fast. There's a 1,000 peso deposit. The rooms are spacious and clean. The air conditioning is cool. Security is guaranteed.
Con: The hotel is old and far from the city center and the airport. The breakfast was terrible, not much choice, just plain rice, boxed meat, and orange juice. There were also waffles. Luckily, there were waffles so I could still have breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for my son’s JS Prom, and it was a pleasant surprise to see that both the facilities and rooms are still well-maintained despite the property being older. However, the breakfast buffet could use improvement, as the quality of the food didn’t quite meet expectations.

My stay at Lido de Paris Hotel in Manila was a mix of convenience and areas that could use improvement. The location is definitely one of its strongest points — it’s close to major spots in Manila, making it easy to get around. The lobby and common areas have a classic, slightly vintage feel, which adds character.
The room itself was decent, though it could benefit from some updates. The bed was comfortable enough for a short stay, but certain amenities felt a bit dated. Cleanliness was acceptable, though not exceptional. Staff were generally polite and helpful, especially at check‑in.
One thing to note is that the surrounding area can be busy and noisy, especially at night, so it may not be ideal for light sleepers. Still, for travelers looking for an affordable stay in a central location, the hotel offers reasonable value.

Great
RRed VillaruelWe stayed at The Manila Hotel as a couple with one infant and had a very positive experience. The staff were extremely accommodating and attentive, the facilities felt grand and culturally rich rather than modern, and the location is central, great for nearby parks but challenging due to Manila traffic. The highlight was the breakfast, which was outstanding and easily the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve had.
WWubbaWubbaWubbaBeautiful and large comfortable rooms with a view, Shower pressure was great. Drinking water dispenser at lift landing provides instant hot and cold water. Rooftop dining and kitchen area was adequate and clean. Gym was sufficient for a casual workout on your travels. Nearby Robinsons mall is huge and provides for your dining and grocery needs.
Now the location… unfortunately Malate smells like piss. It’s just how the area is. All breatheable air has moved to BGC and Makati. My first day I walked along Taft Ave, the main thoroughfare where the LRT tracks run along, it was unbearable. I suggest if you’re walking to Intramuros or the National museums, turn left coming out of the building and walk down Adriatico or Roxas. It’s less putrid near the bay. Avoid Taft at all cost.
The entire team at Lyf I’d encountered, front desk, concierge housekeeping and dining, were all super helpful and smiling always. Bravo, team!
GGuest UserI recently stayed at City Garden Suites and would like to share both a commendation and some constructive feedback regarding my experience.
First, I would like to highly commend Ms. Zsan for her outstanding service. After being assigned to a room that, while clean, had an unpleasant odor, I approached the front desk again for assistance. Ms. Zsan handled the situation with genuine care and professionalism. She went beyond simply checking the system—she actively coordinated with housekeeping via radio to personally verify room availability. Her initiative, attentiveness, and willingness to help truly define excellent customer service. She made us feel heard and valued, and her dedication reflects the kind of frontline service that leaves a lasting positive impression.
On the other hand, I would like to offer constructive feedback regarding my experience with Ms. Acel. As a guest, first impressions matter, and my initial interaction with her during check-in was not very reassuring. When I inquired about the possibility of being assigned to a newly renovated room, I was informed that none were available, without much effort to further check or explore options. This gave me the impression that my request was not fully considered.
The following day, when I needed to extend my stay, I spoke with her over the phone and requested an update regarding my concern, emphasizing the urgency as I needed to secure the current room rate online. However, after waiting for around 30 minutes without any callback, I had to follow up myself. During the follow-up, she asked for details I had already communicated earlier, which made it seem like the information was not properly noted or attended to.
On the third day, I needed to extend my booking again. To avoid the same experience, I went directly to the front desk. Unfortunately, she was again the one available. Despite my previous experience, I still chose to give her another chance, hoping for a better interaction. However, the experience remained the same. Because of this, instead of extending my stay further, I decided to transfer to another hotel.
I hope this feedback is received constructively. Frontline staff play a crucial role in shaping the overall guest experience. While Ms. Zsan demonstrated exceptional service and professionalism, there is an opportunity for improvement in consistency, attentiveness, and proactive assistance. With the right focus on these areas, guest satisfaction can be greatly enhanced.
BBrytzWe went to relax for the weekend, but soon as we arrived, the parking guards are irresponsible, they maligned us, made some bad words and asked us to check out right away on our last say there when we are supposed to stay half a day still. Our experience is so irritating and we don't enjoy our stay 😡
@@apieceofmykOverall: 4/5
Location: 4.5/5
Very convenient. I stayed here for a 2-day ISO training held in one of their convention rooms, so it was super practical. It’s also right beside Starbucks, which was my go-to for coffee.
Value: 4/5
Reasonable for a short business stay, but parking has an extra fee.
Room: 3/5
The hotel feels old and nostalgic — classic elevators and hallways. Bathroom was clean, but the room had a slightly musky smell. Walls seem thin since I could hear a neighboring room’s phone and music.
Cleanliness: 5/5
Bathroom was neat and well-maintained.
Service: 5/5
Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Facilities: 5/5
Convention rooms are functional and convenient for seminars and trainings. The packaged food during the training was also good and complete, from breakfast snacks to lunch and merienda.
Final Take:
Good option for business stays and trainings. Not the most modern, but convenient and comfortable enough for short trips.

“I had a great experience at the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the service was excellent. I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my stay.”
,unstable connection in wifi is the problem.
AAyskoppiThe room was clean and smelled great. Aqua Adventure was free, which made our stay super worth it! The WiFi was decent; it lagged a bit when my partner and I played ML (Mobile Legends), LOL, but it was fine for Netflix, YouTube, and scrolling through other social media platforms. The water dispenser was practically next to our room, so we had no trouble getting drinking water even in the early hours. As for Aqua Adventure, I wish it were cleaner, as there was a lot of moss. The water itself was clean, but the floor was really slippery, and there were many kids swimming there.
RRoberto_AThis was just an okay hotel. I stayed in a windowless room. There was no daily cleaning as one would usually expect. The amenities were limited. A small pack of shampoo that couldn’t last two full showers and a tiny bar of soap. No body wash, no cotton swabs, no hairdryer.
BBrendon VWe had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and the relaxing ambiance throughout the property. The location was also perfect—conveniently close to key attractions and public transport. Housekeeping was prompt and attentive, ensuring our stay was stress-free. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service.
