Hotels near Manila Cathedral in City of Manila

I would love to be able to rate this hotel 9.5 out of 10, because of its beauty, and because of the great staff. However the room I rented had the following issues. 1. The room normally stayed around 26°C (78.8°F) to 27°C (80.6°F) with the AC running on the highest setting. 2. The shower had a drain issue, and water overflowed throughout half the bathroom floor. 3. The TV had about 5 channels in English, and the picture was horrible. Very fuzzy with intermittent audio. 4. The WiFi was mediocre, and would occasionally disconnect from the internet. 5. The view through the window was just other roof tops. 6. It's a little far from the airport. It is a very beautiful hotel, with an outstanding looking lobby, and a great ground floor restaurant. The staff is outstanding. When I first entered the hotel and the room, my first thought was that I was never leaving this hotel. That is until I ran into the room AC issue. I could not stay there more than 2 nights with such a hot room.

Stayed here 9 nights in a Deluxe Twin Room on the 14th floor and overall it was very good value for money (paid about 2131 AED for the stay). 👍 Highlights Staff – Easily the best part of this hotel. Everyone was extremely polite, friendly and genuinely helpful throughout the stay. That level of hospitality really stood out and made a big difference. Cleanliness – The room was kept clean every day and housekeeping did a very good job maintaining it. Breakfast buffet – Surprisingly good variety. They had fresh omelettes made to order, pancakes, waffles, sausages, bacon, cereals and other options. The flavors leaned more toward Western breakfast styles so it didn’t fully match my Indian palate, but it was still a solid breakfast with plenty to choose from. The Mongolian rice was actually excellent. Location for convenience – The hotel is right in the Binondo / Chinatown area, with plenty of restaurants around. There’s also a Starbucks and a nice café just steps from the hotel, plus an Anytime Fitness nearby. For my work it was very convenient. ⚠️ Things That Could Improve Check-in process – I arrived around 10am hoping for early check-in, but still had to wait until the standard 3pm check-in time, which was a bit frustrating after a long trip. Facilities feel dated – Some things like the hair dryer, TV and especially the gym equipment feel quite old and could definitely use an upgrade. AC issues – The air-conditioning was slightly unpredictable at night. Not a big issue but you could wake up at 4 AM sweating🫢 Room service food – Not great. I ordered a chocolate lava cake that looked nice with two scoops of ice cream but the cake itself was quite bitter. Minibar – Completely empty, which was surprising especially since the hotel takes a 10,000 peso deposit at check-in. 📍 Area There are lots of food options nearby and the location is convenient, but the area can feel a bit rough late at night, so I preferred staying indoors after dark. Final Thoughts Overall I’d say about 3.5 stars but rounding up to 4, mainly because the staff were genuinely excellent and the stay was good value for money. Would I stay here again? Yes — for the value and the staff. I’d just probably skip room service next time.

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located near the Embassy of the United States, Manila Bay, Rizal Park, and the National Museum. Cons: The room had a musty smell and I noticed tiny cockroaches, so the hotel could improve pest control and ventilation. There was no cabinet for clothes, only a hanging rod placed above the table where the water and kettle were located, which felt impractical. Dental kits and slippers were available, but only upon request. Overall: Good location, but the room maintenance and storage setup could be improved for a more comfortable stay.

We enjoyed it! The view from the 11th floor is nice and beautiful. The location of Red Planet Binondo is also very convenient because it is close to Chinatown food trips and Binondo Church, and the staff is very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Overall, we loved our stay and hope we can come back again someday because it was a great experience.

The location was excellent, it is a 2-minute walk to Robinsons Manila which have lots of establishment and restaurants nearby.

Cheap, great location near the park. This huge room has 60 beds, good for people who don't mind sharing. There are no curtains, so it's really just for sleeping. Besides the beds, there's only a bathroom, no other space. The downside is there's no hot water, only cold.

Though the rooms need renovations and better cleaning, this is a budget hotel, after all. So, you will get what you paid for. The best part of this hotel is the location within Intramuros. Despite the hot and humid weather, I was able to walk to key sites withing Intramuros. The reception seemed to lack in its tour arranging ability, but I was able to charter a TukTuk at a nearby museum, to go all the way to Malacañan Palace area.

Our family had an excellent stay at Manila Prince Hotel—truly a memorable experience from start to finish. What stood out the most was the exceptional service. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome and well taken care of. From the courteous guards who greeted us warmly upon arrival, to the helpful bell boys—especially John—who assisted us with a smile, the hospitality was consistent throughout. At the front desk, Paulo and Shane ensured a smooth and pleasant check-in experience. Housekeeping, led by Erika, kept our room spotless and comfortable, which made our stay even more relaxing. We also enjoyed the dining experience—special thanks to the chef at the egg station for the delicious breakfast. We always felt happy and satisfied every time we stayed here. Previously, Jomar was the one who consistently accommodated us during the breakfast buffet, making everything smooth and perfect. This time, Jimpaul provided the same level of excellent service—attentive, friendly, and reliable—which we truly appreciated. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. The service, the food, and the warm atmosphere made our family feel right at home. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back!

This is an average hotel, but the location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for transportation and dining. What truly stands out is their exceptional management and service. The staff are warm, welcoming, and very attentive, always greeting you with a smile. The rooms are spotless, the hallways are pristine, and it's very quiet. I'd definitely recommend it to friends!

This hotel is very near the US embassy like 5mins walk going to the overpass and just near the robinson’s mall too. Easy to check in and check out. Comfortable stay and clean room. However there’s no free sleepers and toothpaste/toothbrush or instant coffee but you can buy on the lobby. Free water too but not bottled, you can fill up your tumblers. Nice hotel staffs and security guards too. Will definitely recommend!
