Discovery Primea, Manila

9.5/10
Amazing

We only had two days in Manila for the grand finale of our honeymoon before heading back to China. The vibe? Total luxury. We crashed at Discovery Primea, right in the heart of Makati. Our room was spacious, super comfy, and the 24/7 room service was basically a honeymoon dream come true 😂. Just outside the hotel, you're spoiled for choice: a lush park for morning strolls, tons of restaurants, and a massive shopping mall (Glorietta Mall, Ayala Center, Makati—open daily from 10AM to 9PM). We hit up the supermarket inside for a Filipino snacks haul, so our suitcase was loaded with local goodies for the trip home. Why we liked it: - Perfect central location—steps from cafes, shops, and all the action - Rooms are big and super comfy, with ultra-soft beds - Everything is spotless! Clean and fresh vibes everywhere - Loads of restaurants around Discovery Primea—just stroll and pick whatever looks tempting - Stock up on Filipino snacks at Glorietta Mall for the perfect souvenir 📌 Tips - Grab rides are easy and safe—plus, you can pay with Alipay - Don’t stress over the service in some spots, just chase the good food! - Discovery Primea is super convenient for both exploring Makati and chilling out - Double check your bill for extra charges at hotels or restaurants, just in case

This hotel it perfect for business travels, just right next to the big shopping mall Greenbelt, hotel room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Service of the frontline staff is excellent. Just that they have the on going construction of the Greenbelt that makes a little noise during daytime but still bearable

The location is excellent. There's a shopping mall and plenty of food options right downstairs, and it's very easy to get a taxi to anywhere in the city. The hotel is clean, and having laundry facilities was a huge plus. The staff were also very friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. I had a very pleasant stay.

I am an avid Dusit Thani guest however there is always a problem with housekeeping but they do respond when prompted. But that should actually not be the case that we should always ask. Service at breakfast is delightful and excellent. We love that!

St Giles Hotel Makati

As always, the staff are accommodating and courteous, from the front desk, security, and restaurant servers, even the OJTs (I think?) wearing white uniforms during breakfast. Everyone was nice, attentive, and welcoming. I always come back to St. Giles because of its location and the homey feeling it has compared to other hotels in Poblacion. I’ve stayed at different hotels around the area whenever I want a quick staycation to relax and swim during my days off, but this has always been my go-to hotel. This was actually my first stay this year, and I noticed that a lot has changed. I’m not sure if it’s due to government regulations, but there are no toothbrushes provided in the room anymore. There was also only one bath towel in the room even though there were two of us checked in. The water in the hallway is empty in the morning when we want to make coffee in the room. I hope the housekeeping team will be more attentive with these things. What disappointed me the most was the breakfast selection. Breakfast used to be one of my favorite parts of staying here, but now the selection feels quite limited and sad. There’s no bacon or even danggit anymore, which are usually breakfast staples. Most of the choices were heavy meals. Plus points for the roti, though. Overall, the stay was still okay, but I think I might not come back in the meantime. I hope next time i'll experience the same homey and warm feeling from you.

My stay at Leez Inn Hotel was overall good. The staff were accommodating, and the room was comfortable and clean. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. During my stay, the in-room telephone was still under repair, which made it less convenient to contact the front desk. Additionally, the hotel does not offer card payment options, which feels outdated given that many travelers now prefer cashless transactions. Despite these issues, I had a pleasant stay and would consider returning in the future.

The location is very strategic for mall goers and night out. One concern though is the location tagged in the grab is not accurate. Doon napunta sa pldt. Also, you have to call the doorman before leaving the room since the up/down button of the lift is disabled.

The price is affordable, rooms are clean enough, and people are friendly. Also, it is convenient to travel to all destinations, equally close. However, there's only one hairdryer in the building, which makes it super inconvenient, and no slippers are provided. Another concern would be safety, Pasay city is more local, you can experience authentic lifestyle, but there are risks of getting into trouble I think. All in all, after living 3 days there, I would still recommend travelers this hotel.
