Hotels near Bandon in Surat Thani

This really is a 10/10 place. My husband and my favourite place we’ve stayed, this trip to Thailand. We’ve already decided we want to come back, with friends, next time. We wanted a place to cut our drive to Bangkok and had no idea Sarat Thani and the surrounding area had so much to offer. Mr. Pongsak, the owner, could not be more lovely. He is so thoughtful and invested in making sure everyone who stays has the best experience and shares his knowledge of the area and all the things there are to do and see. We drove a rented car, and found it sooooo peaceful and relaxing to be there. And so close to get to town, markets and lots of yummy foods. We cannot wait to share this gem with friends and try the other cabins. The pond with all its fish is a gorgeous water feature too. They opened in 2025 and are building a third cabin. They are modern and still so charming and relaxing. Cannot wait til we can return on our next trip. My only concern is that it is such a great spot and is going to be so popular, we will need to book well in advance next time! Thank you for everything. See you next time, Mr. Pongsak and family.

The hotel was clean and the bed was just right not too firm and not too soft, making it comfortable for a good night’s sleep. I booked a room for three people and the price was reasonable. The room was spacious with large beds, and the housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything clean. I stayed for a total of three nights and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is located in a quiet area, which might feel a bit far from shopping malls and some places I needed to visit but it also made the stay more peaceful. Check-in is strictly at 2:00 PM and there is a 300 THB cash deposit required for the key card. Overall, it was a good stay and worth the price.

A great short stay we enjoyed in Surathani at the C Tower Hotel. Great service and nice breakfast were provided!

Positive : Good location, clean room and size of the room is quite comfortable for family even though you booked standard room. Negative: 1. I booked the room for 2 night but the keycard set for 1 night when I asked staff said its for safety reason. This is the first time I my life to hear this such a thing. They said even guest stay for 10 nights they have to extend key card everyday. 2. Staff at front desk didn't provide any information even for breakfast ticket they gave me just for 1 day. I cant be bothered to ask amd just wanted to leave this hotel. 3. There is no service mind at all for all apart from the Bellman who have outstanding service, this is similar comment I found from previous guest too. 4. I got a call twice after my first night stay , they told me the check out time today in 10 mins then I asked them to check they said sorry in theor system their colleagues mentioned for 1 night only. 20 mins later they called me on my mobile phone and said I have to check out in 15 mins. They make it worst !!! 5. Lastly the simple amenity such as hair dryer they charge 50 bath. Available at reception. 6. This hotel doesn't provide lunch or dinner service even though there is menu in the room. You cannot order. Lastly, I will never come back again.

Cosy atmosphere, clean room, spacious room, good customer service. I stayed there for 3 nights in a premier deluxe room and will stay again on my next visit to Surat Thani. Down side is rooms are not sound proof. My neighbour Chinese guests were pretty noisy after mindnight There was an electrical short circuit at 3 am on my last night (only for a while). Luckily that the aircon was back on in about 5 minutes.

Spacious and fresh accommodation with restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, everything you need for a great start to the day! There was an exciting pool but I never got a chance to swim in it!

I spent my last 8 nights in Thailand in the Regent Hotel as I just wanted to chillax after 2 months travelling! I loved my time there. The staff are extremely helpful and Google translate is great for communication. My room was HUGE! The Air Con was excellent (Rm304)! The bathroom had a wall separating the toilet from the shower and that was great! The electric shower was perfect. The cleaning staff work hard. The gardener is constantly on the go and keeps the outside area spotlessly clean. Well done to him. The wardrobe space was super and storeage was great also. My only complaint (and that’s for every hotel room in Thailand) is the lack of double glazing to keep out the noise from the main rosd traffic. Otherwise everything was great in the hotel Thank you.

Bear and Bird Hotel: A Budget-Friendly Stay with Room for Improvement The Bear and Bird Hotel in Surat Thani offers good value for money in a central yet quiet location. Many guests appreciate the spacious, clean rooms (especially the Japanese-style ones) and the nice pool. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and free parking is a plus. However, as a newly opened establishment, the hotel is still a work in progress. Some guests have noted musty smells in standard rooms and dated or problematic bathrooms. Despite these quirks, if you're looking for an affordable base in Surat Thani and can overlook some minor imperfections, the Bear and Bird Hotel could be a suitable choice.

For the money we paid we got what we got. It is an old hotel, but it was clean. Unfortunately they only provide a small soap, toilet paper and towels, no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel. The bad was that the fan room had no hot water which was surprising for us, and on top of this we got no proper blanket to cover ourselves but a towel which wasn't that big so we were struggling with the cold during the night. Also, you can hear everything around as the room had a big opening to the main hall covered with something like a fence so you can see throw and obviously hear anyone passing by. The toilet had the same issue, the walls aren't built up to the ceiling so you can hear everything happening there in the room...

The best thing about Wangtai is how spotless the rooms are – super clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the on-site café is awful. There was practically nothing to eat for breakfast, so I had to start my day with just a cup of coffee. Location is also a downside, as it's quite far from the city center. Fine if you only need a very clean place to sleep and don't mind arranging transport or eating elsewhere.
