Amazing
在台灣打枱的女孩The hotel staff is the friendliest I have encountered in visiting hotels in many countries. Everyone is very kind, even the security brother is very nice. When I come back at night and the lights are dim, he will take the initiative to lead the way into the hotel lobby. He also worked hard and often helped us get takeout (>^ω^<) The check-in process was very relaxing, and there were welcome drinks upon check-in. My friend also said that the hotel breakfast tasted very good and the overall environment was very clean, making it feel more like being integrated into nature. The only complaint is that it is very close to the airport and there are occasional airplane noises at night. The convenience store is about 3,400 meters from the hotel. It's not far, but you should be careful at night as the street lights are dim.

Amazing
AAnonymous UserA very exotic experience. The suite and public areas were well integrated. The architecture was elegant, with plenty of wood throughout the interior. The bathroom reminded me of a summer on the Champs-Élysées. The service was consistently excellent, especially from the butlers, Tucky and May. The 7 Series that picked me up was in very good condition. While not as readily available as Aman after landing, it still provided great convenience. The cooking class and spa are also worth experiencing. The only downside was that our large European family with children was extremely noisy, and the hotel didn't intervene, resulting in noise pollution in both the rooms and public areas.

GGuest UserThe hotel is quite new, and the room is pretty spacious. The rooftop pool is great; my child loved watching the planes while swimming, which made them very happy. Breakfast was also abundant. It offers excellent value for money, and the bed is very comfortable. Out of the three hotels I stayed at, this one is the most highly recommended.

IilovetravelyeahhIt’s lovely to have a fully vegan resort. The property was very clean, the food was excellent, and I absolutely loved the breakfast. The breakfast buffet chef is fantastic, as is the chef at Moreganic, the main restaurant. I genuinely enjoyed all the food and loved feeling safe knowing everything was vegan. What could have been better was the overall hospitality vibe. Many of the staff we interacted with felt quite disinterested and not particularly warm or welcoming. There were some standouts – Orn, Kham, and another staff member who was always smiling (I didn’t catch his name) – but most others felt lacklustre. On several occasions we went downstairs and were not greeted at all, even though staff were sitting at the desk. There was also background music on repeat – a very short piano loop (around 15 seconds) that played continuously from around 6am until night in the breakfast and common areas. It became quite overwhelming over time and is unfortunately very memorable. The room itself was lovely and very clean, however housekeeping was inconsistent on two days of our six-night stay. One day, when we had the eco card on the bed (meaning no fresh sheets), the beds weren’t made at all. Another day, my kids’ beds were only half-done with a quick fold at the end. Generally housekeeping was good otherwise. Different housekeepers rotating I think. The air conditioning units had visible mould on the flap, which I wiped off myself. This raised concerns about whether there may also be mould inside the unit. There was a slightly musty smell in my room (we had two rooms). Luckily, as it was winter, we mostly used the fan, but this does need addressing. English proficiency among staff was quite limited overall. Orn was great, but in general communication was difficult. I noticed this at another hotel in Chiang Mai as well, so it may not be specific to this resort. On the positive side: the small gym was excellent and open 24 hours, with clean air conditioning. The bathroom had a great toilet bottom-wash-hose with good pressure, clean towels and sheets, bathrobes, a chain lock on the door for extra security, and a filtered water station. Would we stay again? Probably not. The main reason we chose this resort was the vibe – friendliness and feeling taken care of – but it felt more like a serviced apartment where you provide your own hospitality, apart from the restaurants and generally good (but inconsistent) housekeeping. That said, it is aesthetically beautiful, and being able to eat anything without concern was a huge plus. It would also be great to have hotel transport available during the day, not just for airport transfers, so guests can move around in a trusted vehicle. The airport pickup could have been more welcoming and smiling and the wai. The food is exceptional. Moreganic is often empty, likely because prices are around 60% higher than local restaurants, but we really enjoyed our meals there, at breakfast, and via room service. The app-based room service worked very well and delivery was fast. I noticed the pool-access rooms and feel they lack privacy, as other pool guests can sit right outside. My jacuzzi jets also didn’t work. I don’t enjoy giving critical feedback, but I didn’t receive a post-stay feedback email, so this felt like the appropriate place to share it. With staff warmth improved, housekeeping consistency tightened, the music changed, and maintenance issues addressed, this would easily be a full-star stay for me. A fully vegan resort is truly special and unique, and the concept is wonderful. We stayed about 26 days after the Queen’s passing, which may have influenced the atmosphere. P.S. There are some lovely temples nearby, including Wat Mahawan, and others just across the road. All are about a three-minute walk from the resort. There’s also a great jewellery store close by called “I Do I Design.”

AAnonymous UserThe facilities are quite new, and there's a small pool on the first floor. Many Chinese tourists stay here. Across the street, you'll find a convenience store, a night market, and a laundry shop. You can rent a car right across the road, which is super convenient. There's also a massage place just a few steps away. It's about 5 kilometers from the Old City and 2 kilometers from Nimman Road. A taxi from the airport costs around 50 baht, and it's right next to the main entrance of Chiang Mai University. Overall, it's pretty good.

GGuest UserThe natural environment is so good here that there were bugs and geckos right on the room's balcony. Like, a whole row of them 😭😭 I was genuinely terrified. I was so scared at the time that I didn't take any pictures. Later, I passed by the common area and saw another one perched there. The key thing is that the geckos' color is very similar to the hotel's decor. I'm so lucky I didn't get a chance to sit on the balcony sofa, otherwise, if I had touched one, I really would have had insomnia for days 😢. The staff came to deal with it, but they just sprayed something quickly. The gecko was back within 2 minutes. I was genuinely worried I'd be sleeping with geckos in the middle of the night~ After checking into the room and staying for about two hours, I immediately booked another hotel in the city center. Personally, I'm really afraid of small animals. Mainly, I don't know if they carry germs. I ended up coming back early the next morning to pack my luggage. 😢😢😢😣😣😣

GGuest UserI love creating reviews and social content — especially about ryokan-style stays and onsen experiences. There may be more ryokans in Thailand now, but when a friend recommended Chez Nij Ryokan Onsen, I was genuinely impressed from the moment I arrived. The blend of Thai, Japanese, and French influences is beautifully unique. Even more special is the history — this was once the residence of the former Governor of Chiang Mai. The house is filled with antiques, charm, and character. Stepping inside feels warm, welcoming, and truly homely. The owner, a doctor and grandson of the former governor, personally cares for guests and shared meaningful stories about the residence — an honor I won’t forget. Location-wise, it’s peaceful yet convenient. Nimmanhaemin Road is only 8 minutes away, perfect for dining and shopping. Even returning around 1 AM, the owner and night manager were still there to welcome me. The alley is well lit, quiet, and safe, with another hotel and a tennis court next door. A 7-Eleven is just a 5-minute walk away on the main road. I stayed in the Studio Room with onsen access — incredibly private and peaceful. The tatami design is beautiful, the bed unbelievably soft, and the air quality excellent (my usual dust allergies improved after just one night). The complimentary minibar was a lovely bonus. Direct onsen access from the room is available in the morning only. During female and male sessions, the private door is securely locked and entry is through the changing room — a very safe and thoughtful system. The open-air onsen is stunning — inspired by the winter sea of Hokkaido and said to be one of the largest in Chiang Mai. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are outstanding. The mineral water left my skin noticeably smoother and deeply hydrated, unlike other onsens I’ve tried. The schedule is very well organized, with separate time slots and thorough cleaning between sessions. I checked in at 3 PM and immediately enjoyed the women’s session. After 5:30 PM, guests are asked to leave for routine cleaning and to dry off properly to prevent slipping — a clear reflection of their commitment to safety and hygiene. Soaking at 7:30 AM in the cool morning air truly felt like having a private hot spring. Breakfast is served as a generous full set — so abundant I couldn’t finish it all — yet the staff still offered more. Everything was delicious, and the chef personally came to serve and chat, adding such a thoughtful touch. In the evening, a complimentary mini tea set (9–10 PM) made the stay even more charming. I wrote this from the heart to reflect the genuine care I received. It was absolutely worth it, and I’m so glad I followed my friend’s recommendation. I’ll definitely return to Chez Nij whenever I’m back in Chiang Mai.

PPawee Bank NontamongkoltornStaff: Mostly friendly and professional, except few. I asked the female staff for early check-in and left my luggage at the designated place. Then, she said, “No, you have to wait until 14:00”. Immediately after her response, the male staff approached me and processed it. He also allowed me to change room without any charge and to store my luggage in the room, instead of the designated area. Room: For those who like 80s-90s vibe, this is for you, and me too. The AC is loud and cleaned. The ceiling, on the other hand, has strains from water. The curtain has a strain that looks like either blood or coffee. The wall looks unpolished, creating a running down impression of the hotel. The socket, TV, lift, and fridge are functional, fortunately. 2 bottles of water are set by the hotel standard. Please clean up those strains and walls. Bathroom: It contains dusts on the ventilation fan’s cover. There is mold strain on the wall that could be mistaken as black mold initially. Please clean up it as it could evolve to such in the future. Location: Not far away from the pubs, so music can get loud inside the room as it has poor soundproof. Unless you don’t mind the sound, or want to stay away from the city centre, go for it.
