My second time booking this hotel. Near taksim and istikal street. A bit of walking to the hotel but since it is the end of winter, you don't feel the heat and the road starts busy at 11am onwards. Booked a budget room but got upgraded to a standard room. Thank you! My tips: Take the risk of booking the room near to the travel date (if it is not a peak season) if not opt for refundable booking if you see price change (cheaper) then you have the option to do new booking. Breakfast is almost the same for 2 nights here. But since we are asian, we don't mind the food much. More cheese and healthy version. Room similar as website just that our cupboard is broken. Not sure which shampoo and body soap as the bottle is the same one..

It’s ok for those who is only thinking about sleep at night but nothing else. They moved us from our first existing room to the other small room for an excuse that they will do some work on the room but the very next day or the immediate day we don’t even know there is another guest apparently came.we paid for bigger room but end up in a small bedroom which was not fair.Power plug has no electricity, walls are cracked all the amenity is way too old I feel like I am living in a musium. However I got what I paid for and that’s how I can convince myself.Thank you Turkey and will see u next time.

To be fair, I'd like to point out that this is a very budget-friendly hotel, and if you're looking for a cheap stay in a good location near Istiklal, this is the place for you. Below are the subjective pros and cons: Pros: - Location - Spacious room - Price (we stayed for about $90 for three nights) - Comfortable bed, clean linens - Smart TV, good hairdryer, refrigerator - Gorgeous large balcony - Pleasant receptionist Cons: - A beautiful balcony is a dump! Why do this 🤯 - Cold room - Steep stairs, difficult to climb, but that's not really a negative, more of a warning. - Dirty, poorly cleaned. Upon check-in, crumbs were found on the furniture, and the mirror was completely smudged. - Broken shower door, difficult to close. - The room itself was very tired, but that can be overlooked given the price. - We encountered rudeness from the owner. (We contacted the hotel via chat well in advance to check if we could leave our bags early in the morning. We arrived at a certain time and let them know, but no one opened the door. We walked around with heavy bags for about an hour and a half, until the owner finally opened the door and very nervously, almost aggressively, tried to prove to us that all hotels in the world check guests in at 2 p.m. (For a second, we didn't ask to be checked in, we asked to leave our bags). We ended up leaving our bags, but it felt unpleasant to be yelled at.)

Great staff, good value, but breakfast and noise could be better The staff was very friendly. Especially the housekeeping staff – he always asked if we needed new towels and every day if we wanted our room cleaned. So I don’t understand the negative reviews about cleanliness at all. Location and value for money were great. It’s a safe area for women, right by Taksim Square. There are some areas nearby that don’t feel as safe, but around the hotel there were lots of hotels, restaurants, small minimarkets, exchange offices, and the metro and bus are within walking distance. The Havabus stop is only a 5-minute walk away, which is another big plus. What we didn’t like:   The breakfast was very repetitive – it was the same every day, and we stayed 8 nights. Also, the doors are quite thin, so you can hear other guests and the cleaning staff early in the morning. The rooms could be better equipped – two bedside tables instead of one, and a proper desk would help. Overall: We were very satisfied apart from the last two points. We would stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, and it's very clean and comfortable. I stayed for three days and didn't find any flaws. I saw some negative reviews, but that wasn't my experience at all. The towels and linens were clean, and room cleaning was done upon request. You leave your key at the front desk, and your room will be cleaned when you arrive. Many thanks to Hotel La Serena. I highly recommend this hotel to all Chinese citizens.

The hotel's location is truly magnificent; all the main historical sites are close by, within walking distance or a couple of tram stops. The bed linen and the room are clean, and they clean well. The towels definitely need replacing; they're very faded. The room is warm, and there's a refrigerator, kettle, and tea making facilities. There's no toothbrush or toothpaste in the room; bring your own or buy them on site. There's a store 5 meters away where you can buy everything you need. The breakfast is average, but there are no dairy products at all. There are vegetables, cheeses, ham and sausage, eggs, omelets, and various salads. The coffee, which comes from a drip coffee machine, is tasteless. There are buns, bread, and muffins. You can eat your fill, but there's not much for children. I went nearby for burgers for my son. The reception staff is helpful and explain things well. Overall, I'd give it a 4. A few minor improvements would have made it perfect. Overall, if I were to go to the center of Istanbul, I'd definitely go there again.

A wonderful, cozy, and beautiful hotel located in the historic district, right in the city center! The interior is incredibly beautiful: countless paintings, accessories, charming details, and a wonderfully pleasant aroma throughout the entire hotel. There's immense attention to detail. You'll want to photograph every corner of the hotel. The staff are polite and always ready to help. It so happened that I got to stay in two different rooms. In the first room I booked, there was a minor plumbing issue, and instead of just moving me to a similar room, they upgraded me to a better and larger one. Thank you. Everything is fantastic! Truly. Words can't do it justice – just look at the photos. Everything will become clear 🌝

The hotel is in a dilapidated, sketchy neighbourhood. As a female solo traveller, it feels very scary to travel alone back to the hotel at night, as you will come across groups of men hanging along the street. It’s also ridiculously far from major train stations (15-20 minutes depending on your walking speed) and a lot of uphill climbing, which is a big minus for people who would stay more than 3 nights with more luggage / elderly. My local friend said with this price I could’ve booked a hotel at a more convenient location. The room is clean and has a functional layout. The sound insulation is poor, the first two nights I could hear the neighbour laughing, they were loud but still I had to wear earplugs to sleep. Also traffic noise continued even during late night. The hot water in shower is not very consistent, I had two days of perfectly hot water, and two days of lukewarm water. I was shivering when I went out of the shower. The water tap of the sink is very hard to switch on/off. The sink is big but not much space for putting necessities, which is a bit of an impractical design. As I was travelling alone, they only gave me one room card, which could be inconvenient in some way because if I would like to use the fridge in the room, it would turn off after I left the room. Even though I didn’t use the fridge, it is something to be noticed. I had experience staying in other hotels alone, they always give two cards. While it’s more energy saving this way, it’s inconvenient. The breakfast was alright, just like all other 3/4-star hotel breakfast, there is a variety of food. Staff checked the buffet area quite frequently, and the dining area is comfortable with a lot of light. It also has Turkish tea, which is great. One key event: the door lock was not functioning. After I left the room the second day, I checked if the door is being locked but it didn’t. I was terrified to know that the door lock wasn’t functioning, as I could go inside without a card. I immediately asked the front desk to fix it, and turned out the door lock was just out of battery. However, if I didn’t check the door, my room could’ve been easily broken in. Another thing is after this, I couldn’t find my earrings which were on the table. The coincidence made me think it was a stealing event. While eventually they found them after I checked out and they returned them to me, I could not help but felt frustrated in the meantime as my trust for the hotel was damaged. Despite that might have been just a misunderstanding, the hotel staff, especially Dilan, was very helpful and proactive in handling the event, and she also promised to compensate me, even though they saw no other people entering my room in the surveillance camera and she claimed that no stealing event has happened. Overall, despite all that has happened, I think the hotel is good and quite affordable for a short stay, but there might as well be other better options. l

The room didn't match the photos. It was quite worn out with skirting boards falling off. As for the amenities promised on the website (shower gel, shampoo, soap, disposable shower cap), there was only 1 cap for three people. There was absolutely no shower gel (the dispenser was empty) and it wasn't refilled during our week-long stay. The disposable hand soap looked like it had seen better days. They changed towels daily and perhaps swept the room, but that was it. The sink, shower, and toilet were never cleaned. I saw many similar reviews and thought, 'they just got unlucky with their room,' but in fact, we ended up in the same kind of room. Our room was on the 1st floor with zero soundproofing. The windows faced Istiklal Street, so we knew exactly when the police cars passed and when the ice cream vendor finished his shift.

GGuest UserWe had a fantastic three-day stay at this hotel in December with my parents. The location is excellent: within walking distance of the main attractions, and although it’s situated near the Grand Bazaar, it’s surprisingly quiet. The hotel is very clean, and we were kindly upgraded to a Triple Deluxe room after the air conditioner in our original room wasn’t strong enough. The upgraded room was spacious, bright, and spotless. We chose to have dinner at the hotel restaurant every evening because the food quality was outstanding, and Ozgur took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. Having access to the spa included in the price was an amazing bonus. Our daily routine was perfect — sightseeing until around 8–8:30 pm, relaxing at the spa until 10 pm, and then enjoying dinner at the restaurant with a breathtaking Bosphorus view until midnight. It was incredibly relaxing. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant view is truly stunning. We especially appreciated that on our first night, when we arrived at the restaurant close to midnight, we were still able to order a full meal without any issue. Overall, a truly memorable and relaxing stay — we would happily return and have already recommended the hotel to friends

GGuest UserHampton by Hilton Istanbul Zeytinburnu: Genuine Smiles, Seamless Comfort, and Turkish Warmth After countless nights spent in hotels around the world, it takes something special for a property to truly stand out. My recent stay at the Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Zeytinburnu did just that; not through extravagance or grand gestures, but through authentic hospitality and effortless comfort. This is the kind of place that quietly wins you over, one thoughtful interaction at a time. The Perfect Blend of Ease and Energy Location & Setting Zeytinburnu might not be the first name that comes to mind when travelers think of Istanbul, yet this area surprised me. It’s strategically positioned close enough to reach Sultanahmet and Taksim with ease, yet far enough to escape the tourist crowds. The hotel itself feels like an oasis of calm within the city’s heartbeat. Step outside, and you’re minutes from transportation links, local eateries, and the Marmara coastline. Design & Comfort The moment you step into your room, you sense Hilton’s signature attention to detail—simple, modern, and purposeful. My room was bright, immaculate, and well-designed for both rest and work. The bed offered the kind of support that makes long travel days melt away, and everything, from lighting to Wi-Fi, worked exactly as it should. Small touches, like perfectly laundered linens and crisp air quality, added a layer of comfort that felt quietly luxurious. Hospitality That Feels Personal While the property itself is well-maintained, what truly makes this hotel memorable are the people behind the front desk. Fatih Tuna and Ömer are two names I won’t forget anytime soon. Their professionalism is effortless, and their kindness feels completely natural; no rehearsed smiles, no scripted greetings. Whether it was assisting with directions, offering local dining suggestions, or simply greeting guests with warmth that instantly puts you at ease, both Fatih and Ömer demonstrated a level of hospitality that’s rare even among top-tier hotels. They are the kind of hosts who remind you that genuine service can transform an ordinary stay into a meaningful experience. It’s no exaggeration to say that they embody the best of Turkish warmth; courteous, humorous, and always ready to help without ever feeling intrusive. Breakfast & Shared Spaces Breakfast each morning felt more like a pleasant ritual than a hotel buffet. The spread was abundant and fresh, featuring local cheeses, eggs, fruit, pastries, and strong Turkish tea that was hard to resist. Staff managed the flow smoothly, keeping everything replenished while maintaining the sense of calm that regular travelers quietly crave. The public areas, especially the lobby, were clean, cozy, and inviting. Whether grabbing a quick coffee, catching up on emails, or chatting with staff, the space encouraged connection rather than mere transit. Small Note The only subtle reminder that you’re still in a lively city comes from occasional distant traffic or early-morning sounds from outside. It’s faint and fleeting, more of a whisper than a disturbance. For light sleepers, a higher floor or a room facing inward may be ideal. Lasting Impression What sets Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Zeytinburnu apart isn’t luxury, it’s sincerity. In a world full of polished but impersonal hotels, this one manages to feel human. It’s clean, consistent, and comfortable, but more importantly, it feels caring. As someone who not only travels often but also recommends hotels to colleagues and friends across continents, this property easily earns a place among those I’ll be suggesting again. There’s something compelling about how smoothly everything runs here, and it makes you wonder how the experience might evolve across different seasons or longer stays. Because when a hotel makes you curious to return, that’s when you know they’ve done something right.

GGuest UserThe location is a bit out of the way, not near the bustling Hagia Sophia or Istiklal Avenue. The main issue was that we arrived at 3 AM. During check-in, we confirmed with the front desk that we needed a smoking room. However, after the lobby boy led us to the room, he told us smoking wasn't allowed. We had to call the front desk again to clarify, wasting another 15 minutes in back-and-forth communication. Ultimately, we had to compromise and switch rooms. Plus, my parents' room wasn't even on the same floor as mine. However, I'm very grateful for the bellhop's help and detailed explanations. It's a shame we arrived at the airport too late that day and didn't have cash for a tip.

AAkif. My first night was a disaster because my room's power supply kept cutting off and they took almost 3 to 4 hours to fix it, due to that I couldn't sleep the whole night and my morning plans got wasted too. I asked the hotel manager Mr.Arda to give me an extra night, (he refused), airport transfer on my checkout date , (he refused) , room upgrade, (he refused) , Then Mr Arda promised us a complimentary dinner at the rooftop restaurant and that was amazing .My initial plan was to stay 3 nights but then I extended it for 2 more nights because of 1 man Mr.Karem at the reception , the nicest guy of the hotel , Mr.Karem and Mr.Arda helped us alot and supported us in every aspect, but sorry to say all the other staff members there had just 1 answer. im sorry we cannot help you we cannot help you , I'll definitely visit again, Thanks to Mr.Arda and Mr.Karem ❤️ and lastly thanks to Mr.Servet who told us about the free shuttle service provided by the hotel which takes us to Taksim .
