"We chose this hotel for our trip to Istanbul. The location is excellent; trams run until midnight, and it's just a 3-minute walk from the tram stop. We drove and left our car in the hotel's parking lot for three days. The parking area can accommodate about 7-8 vehicles. The cleanliness was impressive; we had absolutely no issues regarding hygiene, even though my wife is quite particular about such things. For initial entry, staff open a locked door, and then guests use their room key cards, which provides a great sense of security."

"Our first hotel in Turkey was a delightful and heartwarming surprise. The room was clean and tidy, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a great view. Muat and Resur at the front desk found out we were checking out late at night and would miss breakfast, so they specially prepared sandwiches, fruit, and drinks for us to take away – we were so touched! And the two gentlemen working the night shift on July 1st were also incredibly kind; they helped us communicate with the taxi driver and even checked the fare to make sure we weren't overcharged. It was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose the Edition Old Town Hotel again if I return! ❤️"

"Had a great stay at this hotel for 9 nights. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety, the staff were professional, friendly, and always helpful. The service throughout my stay was excellent. I really enjoyed my experience and felt very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again."

"The big plus of the hotel is the view from the window (see photo), as well as the polite staff. There are many questions about the rest. This is a hotel without long corridors, that is, all the rooms are located near the stairs, so you can hear everyone going up and down. There are gaps in the doors, so whether there is a door or not is very noisy. By 9 o'clock cleaning begins, the vacuum cleaner makes noise. You will also hear this clearly. I was saved by headphones, I slept in them all 4 nights. The sheets were in pellets, but upon request they were immediately replaced. The bathroom is clean and relatively recently renovated, but the room as a whole is very tired"

"This was our second stay at this hotel. Among all the options, Galatahan stood out for its location, breakfast availability, and price. It's part of a mini-hotel association, and the staff are pleasant. Regarding the downsides, we had requested a room away from the elevator, but we were given one right next to it. In the mornings, guests waiting for the elevator would chat, and it was quite audible. However, the view compensated for everything. So, if you're an early riser, room 41 might suit you. But there were a few things that could be improved: 1) There was no shelf in the bathroom, only traces that one used to be there… it was inconvenient to place toiletries on the edge of the sink. 2) The hairdryer was on its last legs – the cap was broken, it rattled, and it overheated… I was worried it would burn my hair. 3) On our last day, it rained, and water dripped from the window, soaking my foot (which meant my last clean sock before my flight was ruined). 4) The pillow had split into two large lumps. 5) The TV remote stopped working, so we had to turn on the TV using the button on the set itself. If these minor issues don't bother you, and you're looking for an affordable place with breakfast and a good location, then go for it. Many hotels in Istanbul are in a similar condition unless you're opting for a heavy luxury suite."

"The hotel is conveniently located: close to the T1 tram, buses, Aksaray metro, and the airport bus. The linens and towels were clean. Breakfast was a bit repetitive, but you won't go hungry: 3 types of cheese, 2 kinds of sausage, omelets, hot dogs, muesli, vegetables, apples, and various cookies. The restaurant staff and cleaning lady were very attentive (a huge plus!). The shampoo/liquid soap provided was very pleasant. Slippers were also available. You can request an iron and ironing board. Cons: The triple room was very narrow with little space. The air conditioner was aimed directly at one of the beds, and opening the window didn't help with the stuffiness. The minibar light was always on, so I had to cover it with a towel at night. The shower ventilation didn't work."
