"This is a great place and feels very comfortable. It’s just directly opposite Hanoi Train Station. The area is also convenient: it’s about a 10-minute walk to Train Trail Coffee and easy to reach the Old Town, but please double-check the direction and look carefully at the map.
It’s also very close to a famous restaurant/cuisine. The quality of the food is good and the price is very reasonable. You might feel a little nervous at first because there can be many people in line, but don’t worry—there are plenty of tables to accommodate everyone.
The room is very clean as well."

"The room is very clean, and all basic necessary items are well prepared. Coffee, water, noodles, shampoo, brush etc.
The location is ok, go downstairs and grab some bingxue milk tea to drink. Walk to main road can get bus or just use grab motorbike. Feel safe to walk along the street at night time.
More importantly, there is a washing machine, dryer and steam iron prepared! A very good moment for me to do some simple laundry.
Lastly, the customer service team is very supportive, fast response and reply messages friendly that should be always keeping it.
Just little suggestions, the corner of the bedframe needs to wrap something to protect my legs because it is very easy to knock on the corners. In addition, the position of the table and mini fridge is somehow inconvenient to use ? Since it is fixed so nothing much to do.
Overall, I am very relaxed for my stay in Velavila."

"The room was new and had a small balcony perfect for smoking. It even had a washer and dryer, which was very convenient. There was a bathtub, but I personally didn't care for it. However, the housekeeping was lacking; upon check-in, there was quite a bit of dust and female hair on the floor. Also, if you don't request housekeeping before 1 PM, they won't be in the hotel to clean. I really hope the hotel takes this issue seriously. After I complained, they sent housekeeping to clean the room and also brought coffee, pastries, a card, and a small gift. That gesture was really thoughtful."

"Absolutely beautiful! This hotel is located right in the Sunset Town. You can see the cable car and the sunset right from your window, and even watch fireworks! The breakfast provided by the hotel was also delicious. Highly recommend booking a stay here."

"Second time im staying in this hotel and it was even better than the first time!
The staff is absolutely lovely, the hotel is super clean, neat, spacious and brand new. If thats what you find important, this is the right hotel (its hard chosing the right hotel with all the fake reviews you find in Hanoi)
The hotel is +- 15 minutes from old quarters by taxi but dont let that discourage you, you’ll have an awesome sleep without any street noises."

"Honestly, there's no need to stay here. The downstairs area is just average, and I didn't even end up going there. If you're traveling with friends, it's better to choose a place with convenient dining options. I spent a lot on taxis this trip, which I could have completely saved by staying somewhere more convenient (though I haven't checked other hotel prices). The breakfast, however, was quite good. Overall, despite the limited dining options nearby, I was pretty satisfied."

"The Midori Hotel was quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and there were many delicious restaurants and cafes nearby, so I never had trouble finding a place to eat. Getting to parks and museums was easy, and the short tours were also convenient. I was able to effortlessly balance work and sightseeing, and I thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful stay in Hanoi. I would love to stay here again next time."

GGintsukiI’ve been to Hanoi a few times and hotel service here is generally good, but Solaria truly stood out for us from the moment we stepped in, all the way to when we left and were warmly sent off by the porter. The level of service was impeccable. The hotel itself was excellent, cleanliness, welcome drinks, snacks, and overall comfort were all on point. Everything felt thoughtful and well taken care of.
A special shoutout to two wonderful staff members who made our stay even more memorable:
1. Daria: During breakfast, we asked about the special chili salt powder served with fruits (it was amazingly tasty!). Daria not only explained where we could get it from a local mart, but also thoughtfully packed some in a container for us to bring home. Funny enough, we loved it so much that we bought fresh mango that same night and finished everything immediately!
2. Lily (Reception): We would like to give our heartfelt compliments to her, who assisted us from our first day to the last. She brought us on a room tour, polite, friendly, and answered all our typical tourist questions with ease.
As we had requested a high floor, we were assigned one of the highest floors in the hotel. Lily thoughtfully informed us that the restaurant is located right above and operates until 10pm, so there might be slight noise until then. She checked if we were light sleepers and offered us the option to change to a lower floor for the remaining nights if it became an issue. The next morning at breakfast, she personally checked in with us again regarding the room, and it turned out to be perfectly fine for us, we didn’t notice much noise as we were still awake around that time.
Since this was our anniversary trip (which I had indicated in the hotel remarks), our room was beautifully decorated with towel-shaped swans and rose petals, a really lovely touch. The next morning at breakfast, after our meal, Lily came by and presented us with a specially made coconut pandan pudding dessert. She shared that it was prepared for us today as we seemed a little tired from traveling the day before.
During breakfast as well, Lily brought up about our request with housekeeping team for a firm pillow from the night before. Although we were initially told only one type was available, she took the initiative to explain and said she would try to source one for us. That very night, I received a firm pillow, truly thoughtful service. Lily also helped us plan our travel time to the airport, offered to assist with booking the hotel spa via her personal contact, and gave fantastic local food recommendations like cháo sườn with quẩy and rượu (sadly the shop was closed when we arrived, but it’s definitely on my list for my next trip to Hanoi).
What really stood out is how Lily picks up on small cues and chooses the right moment to communicate, making everything feel very natural and personalized rather than forced. There was even more she helped us with along the way, always attentive and proactive, which really made a difference to our stay.
To top it all off, during checkout, we were gifted local souvenirs, Trung Nguyen coffee drip filter and coffee powder, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. Overall, an outstanding stay. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return on our next trip to Hanoi 🩷

IIvant ChekaGREAT is underrating, for the service, dining to resting experience, Solis Hanoi deserves full 5star rating !! from the second you drop off from taxi, your luggages are taken care of, not to worry cos they all converse in english fluently, the main lobby is cozy and welcoming, AC works so well that you'll forget about the outdoor 39C warmth ! refreshment drinks and towels served, we were pampered !! kudos to reception counter staffs Andy and Quan, for making check in experience so easy and smooth, literally, we asked them all sorts of recommendations -from dinner, coffee, snacks to gift shops ^^ thank you! the last but not least, special thanks to the most steady, kind and attentive concierge team Johnson, for handling our luggage storage with so much patience (imagine 4 gurls taking in and out stuffs from their luggages), giving us the refreshment drinks even before our check in time, set us at ease at the rear lounge until our Sapa bus pick up at 10pm, we are blessed !! thank you to the ladies squad at the dining area, foods spread was beyond words, my super picky niece was eating well, the coffee, fresh fruits, yoghurt, porridge, bread, salads, omelette station, nuts and cereals, rice, noodles, everything was amazing !! to the extend that we were waiting for breakfast time every morning ^^ the bed and pillow was also top notch, we all slept soooo well, wooohhh !! We hope to come back again sooonnn to Solis ^^ thank you so so much !

IIvonnieOMG, i feel like this hotel is the best hotel I have ever stayed so far. I need to shout out to especially the staff, omg, they are so friendly and the best. They can speak proper English and very helpful. They are just one text or call away whenever you need help. My family and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights at the family room. The room is a bit smaller than I expected but it is very clean and has all the necessary things for your trip. The brekfast is nice as well. I am personally grateful to Jimmy, Tam and John for all the help. When I come back to Hanoi, this is gonna be the place I will be staying again.

Service:
1. The front desk receptionist, Nga, is helpful, patient, and polite. She is always cheerful and attentive, even while handling calls and assisting other guests. She addressed my concerns clearly, answered all my questions, and is very pleasant to communicate with.
2. Breakfast buffet: staff is always on their feet. I see there’s two main servers, sometimes a third one. They’re very focused but it’s also because they have a lot of tasks - prep, cook, clean, replenish and clear all the dining tables. The tables are not always wiped down, but if you ask, they will address it immediately. Two weeks in, they hired a fourth server which was nice because tables were cleared and cleaned faster. There were a variety of food options with a few soup dishes that rotated each day. They serve mainly carbs and didn’t have many vegetarian options and not a lot of protein in general. They had breakfast chits that we would have to collect from the front desk each day and hand-in to the breakfast staff, they’re very on top of collecting the chits.
3. Room service: We never ordered food to the room. For a few nights, we did order dinner (rice, meat and a veggie dish). They can make anything you ask for either for lunch or dinner. If you don’t feel like going out, their cooking is quite tasty. We’d asked for new towels daily, our 2 water bottles, toilet paper and to empty our garage. We would ask to change or bedding every few days.
4. Rooms 614/615: 614 is the superior twin room and 615 is the superior queen room. My mom stayed in room 614 and my husband stayed in room 615 while I went back and forth. Furniture and flooring was exactly like in the photo online. Both rooms had working air conditioner and a ceiling fan and working mini fridge. TV in the rooms were not a SMART TV but we didn’t mind. The room cost the same although I don’t think room 615 is as nice as 614 since the washroom in 615 felt a bit older (the trimming had more mold and ceiling height was low). My husband who is 5 feet 8 inches (172 cm) would need to bow down to wash his head. Toilets flushed well in both rooms and water pressure was strong. There were tiny ants in both washroom floors and counters but it is Vietnam, we accepted it. Since it was not filled with them, it was not a concern. Beddings and towels are OKAY (meaning it was a pass for us) Some had light stains and tiny rips but it didn’t feel disgusting.
5. Cost: It was about $36 CAD after fees and taxes for each room, I booked a few nights online and a few nights in person which worked out to be around the same price after the conversion. Depending on the website promo, you may be able to get a better price per night online.
6. Location: calling for a taxi, grab, xanh sm takes a tiny bit of time because they’re on a one way street. But it’s walking distance to a park which is great!
Overall rating 3.7, I would say it is like a Best Western hotels/suites in Canada. Service and staff 4 star, building and rooms 3.5 star.
According to google, they are a 3 star hotel and I would agree. I would recommend a couple and family to stay. And I would return.

The first thing is I assumed that because it’s close it’ll be really easy to get there after arrival, but actually taxi drivers don’t want to go there because for them is better to get more money from the trip to the city center then driving you for five min to this hotel. Then after finally arriving the staff that will meet you won’t have any hint of a smile on their face and will treat you like you’ve pissed them off only with your disturbance of their peace, the morning shift by the way was exactly the same. The room itself was ok, just as I assumed by the pictures but with the closer look you can see that lots of breakage and damaged stuff in the room

AAnonymous UserWe traveled around Hanoi and Sapa for 2 weeks and stayed at 5 hotels. Unfortunately, this was the one with the poorest service.
The hotel felt overly strict. Even though our room was ready, they insisted that check-in could not be before 14:00 unless we paid an extra fee. We were also required to sign an agreement stating that we would be responsible for any damaged or missing items. Being asked to sign this kind of agreement itself left a very bad impression. I have never had to sign such an agreement at any hotel in my life. In contrast, the other 4 hotels made us feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and were always helpful.
The room design was nice, but the toilet often needed to be flushed 2–3 times, the shower leaked badly, and there was a strong drain smell in the bathroom.
Breakfast was very basic.
Overall, for this price, there are many better hotels to choose from in Hanoi.

SSofda HdzI noticed almost imperceptible sweat stains on the pillow. The shampoo and shower gel bottles were almost empty. The air conditioning had a musty smell. However, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom was also good. The taxi service was reasonably priced, even cheaper than Grab, but the SIM card was much more expensive than what you could buy in the city. The owner is very friendly.
