It's a nice, clean place and the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The location was fine, there were quite a few local restaurants in the area and small supermarkets as well. There are a few busses in the area going to various locations and the metro is about 12 minutes walk from the hotel.
Overall a fine place and I'd be happy to come back.

Lanzhou Hotel is the most special one among all the hotels I have stayed in. Its advantages and disadvantages are particularly prominent😳
Advantages:
The hotel is in a very good location with convenient transportation. There is a subway station at the door. The Reader's Museum, Dunhuang Art Museum, Waterwheel Expo Park, and Vientiane City are all within walking distance. There are many delicious foods around. The back door is Mogouyan Beef Noodles. There is a noodle shop a few steps away. There are also many barbecue hot pots. Vientiane City is even more all-encompassing. There is also a cultural and creative store of Gansu Museum. The breakfast of the hotel is OK. The beef noodles are very good. Yogurt is delivered to the room every night. The hotel has a long history and several buildings are hung The historic building is decorated with plaques, and the walls are full of photos of visits by early national leaders and celebrities.
Disadvantages:
The room is quite average, small in size, and backward in facilities. It is worse than the old guesthouse that our unit converted into a staff dormitory because it was too old. The mattress is very hard. I accidentally dropped my phone on it and broke the pendant. The air conditioner is not completely useless. It can still feel a little cool after being forced to turn on at 20 degrees for three hours. There is also a huge spider web above the air conditioner. The towels and bath towels are washed white, but the edges are worn out. There is a big hole on the floor towel in the bathroom. This is too frugal.

First of all, the room is super comfortable, and the bed is moderately soft and hard, which makes me sleep well all night. When I woke up in the morning, I opened the curtains, and the sun filled the whole room, and I felt that the whole world was bright~

Nice hotel next to Tuanjie Xincun Metro Station Line 2, but not up to 5star level. We stayed for 3 nights, as I had prepaid. No English spoken either at the front desk or breakfast cafe. Room was on the 26th floor with a magnificent view looking South. Quiet room, smallish and with little hanging space and no safety box. Breakfast was Chinese and underwhelming. Nice indoor heated pool, but quite crowded with outsiders allowed to swim there. Fantastic gym with everything you could need and all to yourself. Probably stay here again for one night if the price was right. As a day trip, we went to Bingling Si. Take Metro to QiLiHe station on line 1. Walk east past KFC, take the 2nd pedestrian overpass, turn right then left after the touts near the public toilets. This is the Lanzhou West Bus Station. We caught the 9am bus for 23 yuan cash only and only available on the day. At the other end, organised a car for 4 people for 320 yuan. Last bus back at 5:30. It will leave earlier if full. Near QiLiHe station, great coffee place at 76 Jian Gong Xi Jie. Back from the bus station, past KFC, past Metro, left into Jian Gong Xi Jie. Try the 'dirty coffee '

HHanqing～yanThe hotel is right next to Lanzhou Old Street, and parking is free in the underground garage. There are many classic restaurants opposite, including beef noodles. There is nothing to say about the location and environment. The family room in the hotel is also very large and very comfortable. We, a family of 6, including three generations, were very satisfied and comfortable with our stay. The bed was so comfortable that I didn’t even think about it on the third day. The bed was so soft and comfy, the large tub was perfect to soak in, the room was spacious and very clean, and the view gorgeous! So good, I would have stayed longer if I didn’t have to fly out the next day, highly recommend!

GGuest UserThe location is really convenient. The front desk staff is patient and enthusiastic, and will answer any inquiries. It is very close to the Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan Iron Bridge, Baita Temple (Baita Mountain Park), Lanzhou Forest of Steles, within walking distance. We went down the mountain and took a sheepskin raft and ate at the Asiya Xiguan restaurant. There is Watsons downstairs in the hotel, and I added lip balm, and the northwest is still quite dry. The hawthorn candied haws at the candied haws store at the door is delicious, and the sugar is crunchy. The sugar of this kind of candied haws in Suzhou is sticky. It should be enough to stay for two nights, and you can also go to Zhengning Night Market. We flew from Dunhuang to Lanzhou, and stayed near the airport for the first night. Afterwards, we felt that we should have stayed here on Zhangye Road for the first night. Another thing is that there is a Michelle Ice City store on the sheepskin raft. Next to it is a specialty store. It is really cheaper than the ones on the highway or in the airport. Very solid. I didn't think about buying cigarettes until I arrived at the airport. Lanzhou Jixiang sold for 32 packs at the airport, and 25 packs outside. It sells for 28 outside the Three Fortress, and 40 at the airport.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located next to Dongfanghong Square and is very convenient by subway and bus. There are signs at the intersection to guide you. The hotel is very clean and there are not many people in the off-season. The front desk service was very enthusiastic and upgraded my room type for free. It's still okay in a budget hotel. At least it can be seen that efforts are being made to improve service. There are not many kinds of breakfast in the hotel. It's clean and hygienic and you can eat well.
Directly opposite the hotel is the Lanzhou Museum, which you can visit at the end of the year after making a reservation. Very convenient. There are many restaurants around the hotel, and I recommend Shajia Beef Noodles. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to Nanguan Night Market. If the weather is nice, you can go for a walk. The night market starts at 5pm. Recommend the Desert Barbecue, it is economical and delicious. There are various businesses near Nanguan Cross which is pretty good. Recommended for those with children, the nearby Xinhua Bookstore is very quiet and less crowded.

GGuest UserThe front door of the hotel is diagonally opposite the Provincial Maternity and Children's Hospital. Parking is in Area J of the parking lot on the 3rd floor of the Lanzhou Center. The elevator goes directly to the lobby on the 5th floor. The environment is satisfactory and the service is good. If you want to eat, go out to the side of the hotel lobby and go directly to the 5th floor of the Lanzhou Center Mall. , shopping and food are convenient. Overall it's okay if it's not too harsh. I'm more afraid of the cold and snow, so I asked the front desk for a quilt and they also provided an electric heater. I praised the receptionist Xiao Jiang!

GGuest UserI chose to stay close to the airport so that I can bound a flight easily to diffrent places. The hotel is also within 15 minutes walk to Lanzhou new area railway to give me easy train ride (40 minutes) to Lanzhou west (main) station. The only down side is if you are coming back late, there are very limited trains to the new area railway, and nothing to Zhongchuang airport railway either except private ride (around 75 km, price is 28 yuan for the shared ride or 200 yuan for solo). However, once you can manage to get to the airport, there will be free shuttles from the hotel just by calling to their friendly staffs. I can highly recommend the hotel to anyone. I really appreciate the visions of the hotel founder (his book can be found when you enter the room :) who successfully created hotel homes for travellers. I felt comfortable and home there.

Even before arrival we reached out to Li and she promptly promised to send a car to meet us upon arrival at Langzhouxi. The Tumendun metro station is right in front of the hotel. So is the bus stop which serves buses running to several Lanzhou attractions.
Aside from the obvious locational advantages the thing that strikes me most is the warmth and hospitality of the family running the place. Everyone from father, mother, 2 sons to DIL was eager to help with any questions that we might have. We couldn’t believe how patient they were in providing invaluable insights for the benefit of the tourist.
The room and bathroom were kept clean. Hot and cold water were readily available as well as a kettle.
