The Gabriel Miami Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton

Nice room, pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is spotless and very well maintained. The pool was good however, I was really disappointed that I was charged over $60 for 2 pretty average mojitos at the pool by Bella’s bar and for that reason I will never return to this hotel.

We still here and overall the hotel itself is great. Check in was quick,rooms are nice. Port is close by. Vareity of restaurants within walking distance. The gym is great. However we booked vacation for four days but wad told on our second night it would no longer be hilton so the shuttle and credit was not given so where we thought we had access to south beach we had to pay for Uber and just hope we will get credited for it, also was told our third night we had to remake reservation and just hope we get the reservation. I feel that we should have been given more notice or hilton should do all the leg work to make sure their clients have accommodation. Not sure if I will continue to be a loyal client to hilton

The check in process with Stuart was extraordinary. It was simple and efficient. He was very accommodating when I lost my iPhone cord, providing one that was available. Hotel is well appointed, beautiful and amenities are great. Restaurant menu was exceptiona

UPDATE Aug, 2024 - downgraded from 2* to 1* - still No resolution offered from Hilton or Hotel directly. Their contact info sends you into a perpetual hamster wheel of ineffective hotel management. Details on G 'Maps' Adriane ----------- We stayed here for 2 nights in December, 2023 as a pre-cruise hotel option. The hotel is listed as 5-star. This is truly misleading. ROOM: The room was overly sparse, dirty and had no furniture for clothing. The bathroom sheers were ripped and filthy. Our bed sheets had a big tear. At night, the lights in the hallway/ bathroom would flicker on & off by themselves. They are touch triggered so I can only guess what was triggering them to come on. DINING VENUES: The multi floors for dining are open on a rotating basis. You cannot choose where to eat. All guests are directed to the same floors for each time-window meal depending on what the hotel opens at that time. I can only assume its because of a severe staff shortage. SERVICE: The front desk was friendly, but could not be of help in resolving the issues I mentioned earlier with the room. The breakfast waiter was friendly and tried hard, but he was in wrinkly, dirty smelling clothes and had very greasy hair. He honestly needed a shower. The dinner location had 1 server trying to manage the bar and food orders. He did his best but was overwhelmed - another guest even walked out. SPA: the website indicates there is a hotel Spa, but the doors were locked & when we inquired, we were told the Spa has been shut down for quite awhile. FOOD: We tried food at the pool bar, and the breakfast and dinner locations. Overall, the food was of good quality - and I have to say the crispy brussel sprouts the best I have ever eaten, anywhere. LOCATION: awesome central location and directly across from Art gallery/park and water view. OVERALL: this hotel is in serious need of help. At best, they are 2.5 stars. We are Hilton Diamond members and were utterly disappointed this is listed as a Curio Collection - and cost us 80,000 points a night. We felt cheated.

Very nice

I have stayed at The Gabriel Miami Downtown 3 times so far and each time it was an excellent experience, on two occasions, I was checked in by Elizabeth who was outstanding! She recognized my Hilton Diamond Status, and upgraded me, to a person who spends a lot of time in hotels, a upgrade to larger room is extremely appreciated. I had many questions and she and was very helpful and took the time to answer them all in detail. I was able to spend some time in the pool area which was excellent, each time the attendant was ready with the towels and pads for lounge chairs, one thing I love is that the hot tub is actually hot, and the cold plunge is fantastic, the pool was also quite nice, If I stay at a hotel and the hot tub is lukewarm I never return. I ate at the poolside restaurant and the food was very nice, I enjoyed the cheeseburger and I had the chicken pesto sandwich twice cause it was fantastic. Each room I stayed in was excellent, clean, great bathroom, awesome balcony. Each time I called for ice it was there quickly, Breakfast was also great and I love the fact that they had Iced Coffee for me, the library just adjacent to the breakfast area was a great spot to get some work done on the laptop as it has a great ambiance there. I also want to recognize Steven who was helping out during several check-ins, he is a great asset to the hotel, he was always friendly and conversational and he did a amazing job in making me feel welcome and comfortable. During my stay I interacted with John, Luigi, Jenny and Daliana each of them were very nice and helpful. As I mentioned I have already stayed there three times and each time was a great experience and hopefully I will be back again soon!

Luillhy was great experienced talking to you. He help me found anything a need on the hotel and around the area as well. Very nice people and great rooms. I would definitely would be coming back and staying here I would definitely recommend this location
