Excellent! The hotel is newly renovated with no unpleasant smells, and everything is very clean. I love the style, and the bathroom is large with a well-designed wet and dry separation. They have many family rooms with large beds; I especially appreciate that their twin rooms come with both 1.5-meter and 1.8-meter beds. This is perfect for families of three or four. This time, three families traveled together, and we easily booked several rooms, so we didn't have to stay in separate hotels. The staff were enthusiastic and polite. If I'm ever in Kunming again, I'll definitely stay here. One suggestion: for summer, please provide thinner summer quilts. I really don't like using thick duvets with the air conditioning on when it's hot. Also, the hotel provides a Laifen hairdryer, which ladies will surely appreciate – it's powerful and quiet. I rarely review hotels I book online, but I always make an exception for exceptionally bad or exceptionally good ones. Hope this helps everyone!

This time I stayed here after being at the convention center branch, and the difference is truly stark. While the Wanda Xishan store has good hardware, the soft services and management approach are frankly incomprehensible. There was construction going on downstairs, and they started working before 8 AM, making so much noise that it was impossible to rest. The front desk kept emphasizing that they had given us a free room upgrade during check-in. But what's the point of such an 'upgrade' if the upgraded room is still incredibly noisy? If there were quiet rooms facing other directions, even if it meant paying a difference, the front desk should have proactively explained and offered options, instead of using a supposed 'upgrade' to gloss over the core accommodation experience. The concierge service was also completely unnoticeable, a far cry from the convention center branch where the concierge recognized my room at a glance and proactively resolved issues with attention to detail. The soft services at the Wanda store are truly disappointing; the experience was extremely poor.

The Sheraton Kunming City Centre has an unbeatable location, situated right above Kunming's largest commercial street and just a 300-meter walk to Kunming Old Street. From the Old Street, you can take a straight walk along the main road to Green Lake Park. Despite being right in the heart of downtown, waiting for a taxi doesn't take long. Regarding breakfast: The dining environment is clean and tidy, with well-organized food stations and a wide variety of options. Both Chinese and Western choices are available, along with local Yunnan specialties like rice noodles, sweet rice wine, and flaky pastries (po su bao). My absolute favorite was the boneless chicken feet—they were truly delicious with a nice, springy texture 👍. A young member of the restaurant staff came by to ask for feedback on breakfast, and I instinctively replied, ”It's amazing, I can't think of any suggestions.” To my surprise, I even received a little surprise gift 💝. Regarding service: The hotel staff's attitude was fantastic, and many thoughtful little details really stood out. They greet guests with a smile whenever they see them, and their soft-spoken tone is very pleasant and comforting. I'm the kind of guest who prefers to stay in the room while housekeeping cleans, and the cleaning lady was very warm and efficiently cleaned the room according to my specific requests. This really shows how well-managed the hotel's staff service is. Whenever I return to China and visit Kunming again for a trip, this will probably be my only choice of hotel ✌🏻. I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends too ☀️.

The hotel is quite new, but free of formaldehyde and smoke odors. The facilities are fully equipped, including disposable slippers, toothbrushes, and toilet seat covers. It was also very quiet, and I slept well at night. They offer a free airport shuttle service, and for only 150 RMB a night, the conditions are truly a great value for money. If I need a place to stay near Kunming Airport again next time, I will definitely choose this hotel. The only suggestions I have for improvement would be to add a bedside cabinet with power outlets between the two beds, and to have the bedside lamps operate independently without turning on the other lights simultaneously. Overall, it offers exceptionally high value for money and is highly recommended 👍

Overall, it was genuinely great. I stayed here with my parents and child, and the beds were quite large. The breakfast was plentiful; though I didn't get to try it, my parents did and they were very happy, which made me happy too. The front desk staff was excellent. When my child wasn't feeling well, they told us which hospital to go to, and all our questions and issues were communicated and resolved promptly. The hotel also has a laundry room. It was a pleasant stay, and the location was convenient for getting everywhere. Really good!

After reading some negative reviews, I decided to give this place a try, as I felt I could completely accept the downsides. And it turned out to be really great because I met some wonderful people! Terry was like a resident assistant and a tour guide rolled into one – reminding me to blow-dry my hair, taking me to delicious places to eat and fun spots to visit, and recommending amazing food. They were truly exceptional! The women I met there were also incredibly awesome, and I'll definitely be keeping in touch with them!

Forgot to take pictures, but it was just as good as described in the photos. There were four of us and three beds, so we had plenty of space and slept very comfortably. The hygiene was good, and the separate laundry room meant we didn't have to wait long to do our washing. Right outside, there are two shopping malls, and the subway station isn't far, located within one of the malls. As soon as you step out, you're surrounded by a concentrated area of food and entertainment, which is very convenient. Highly recommended!

Relatively speaking, it is comfortable to stay and the experience is good. You can choose this hotel if you are transiting nearby!

My friend highly recommended this place, saying the area is fantastic and super convenient, and the shuttle service was a huge plus. The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

Despite the convenient location, comfortable beds, and all-important quiet sleep we managed to get, the hotel's communication to arrange our pick up from the train station at night and what turned out to be a self-check-in was just dismal, clearly needing more training to ensure better organisation for future guests. The following constructive advice is to help the hotel improve and for (particularly foreign) guests to note: 1. Ask for guests' phone number and inform the driver well in advance of our arrival, instead of waiting till the very last minute to do so. We reached out to the hotel via WeChat the day before and rightfully received detailed instructions (in Chinese) to find the driver (the pick up service is actually outsourced to a separate company using 3 different vans), but once we found the van, the driver angrily insisted we call the hotel to identify us by confirming our phone number - we were not allowed to board without the hotel's confirmation, which should have been done directly with the driver well in advance of our arrival. 2. This hotel is not manned after hours, let alone 24 hours, so please make it known well beforehand that we will have to check in ourselves if arriving after hours, and provide clear instructions on how to do so instead of communicating them through the phone while guiding us using the security cameras. It is not the guests' responsibility to do your administrative work (to report ourselves to the authorities by scanning the police QR code and filling out our details) at 11 o'clock at night when we have an early morning train to catch the following day. The hotel should allow guests to enter the room as soon as possible upon arrival, not have us wait half an hour while they struggle with what was clearly their first time checking in foreign guests - worse still over the phone - insisting that this be done before we could enter our room. 3. If the hotel truly wants the patronage of foreign guests, they will have to prioritise our convenience and comfort over theirs by actually having someone check us in in-person. Remotely doing so to save costs is as absurd as expecting foreign guests to communicate our details over the phone, sending photos of ourselves, our passport details etc. via WeChat, and then finding our room card and the room by talking to someone over the phone in Chinese. At the very least, these requirements and instructions should be clearly produced and communicated beforehand so that nothing is improvised. We hope the above experience helps improve what is a decent hotel providing good value for money.
