WWangerduiI was a bit worried at first, thinking that being close to the airport might mean compromised hygiene and surroundings. But what a pleasant surprise – I found a gem! They upgraded our room, and it was so clean and brand new, all automated, even the toilet seat was warm! The shower had great hot water and strong pressure. Honestly, everything was perfect! The staff were also incredibly friendly. Our early morning airport transfer was punctual, took just ten minutes, and they even prepared a light meal for us. Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely staying here again!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is in a great location, about a ten-minute walk from Cuihu Lake and also a ten-minute walk from Kunming Old Street, though in a different direction. There are many local eateries nearby, and shared electric bikes are very convenient. The room was very clean, no mosquitoes, and the hotel service was excellent. It was also quiet at night, so I slept well.

MM486750****The hotel is right next to the bustling Jinma Biji Square, and it's just across the road from Kunming Old Street commercial area and Nanqiang Night Market. The hotel staff are very attentive and proactive, and the breakfast is abundant with a wide variety of choices. Although the room isn't huge, it's actually quite comfortable to stay in. The soundproofing isn't great, but it's no worse than other hotels in the same category. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. I would definitely book this hotel again if I'm ever in Wuhua District.

AAnonymous UserOur family chose this hotel for our trip to Yunnan because it's quite close to the train station. The hotel is advertised as five-star, and upon arrival, the environment was indeed lovely and very retro. The lobby even had a Christmas tree, adding to the festive atmosphere. Once we got to the room, the facilities did seem a bit dated, but the service was exceptional. ARIADNE from guest services called us beforehand to ask about our room preferences and provided us with the best possible arrangements. ARIADNE recommended we visit Kunming Old Street and even helped us book a taxi. The hotel's location is actually really good; it only cost about ten yuan to get there, so it's definitely in the city center. Kunming Old Street was an excellent suggestion, with plenty of options for food, drinks, and entertainment. We had originally planned to attend a lighting ceremony at the hotel that evening, as recommended by DAISY, but we didn't make it back in time. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. If we ever get the chance to visit Kunming again, we'll definitely choose this hotel.

GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.

The front desk service is excellent; all my requests were quickly and clearly handled. I love Kunming so much; it was a fantastic travel experience.

LLuxiangbeibeiMy friend highly recommended this place, saying the area is fantastic and super convenient, and the shuttle service was a huge plus. The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

TTianjibukexielouadcI just stayed at JEN Kunming, and I have to rave about its gym – it's absolutely one of the most beautiful I've ever seen! It's over 2,000 square meters with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an amazing view of Kunming city while you work out. It really lifts your spirits. All the equipment is top-tier brands like Life Fitness, and they have everything from TRX to yoga mats. The attention to detail is excellent. While the room was a bit compact, amenities like the direct drinking water dispenser and wireless charging were very thoughtful. The location is also fantastic, right next to a subway station, making it convenient to get anywhere. Honestly, I'd come back just for the gym!

PPsymondDespite the convenient location, comfortable beds, and all-important quiet sleep we managed to get, the hotel's communication to arrange our pick up from the train station at night and what turned out to be a self-check-in was just dismal, clearly needing more training to ensure better organisation for future guests. The following constructive advice is to help the hotel improve and for (particularly foreign) guests to note:
1. Ask for guests' phone number and inform the driver well in advance of our arrival, instead of waiting till the very last minute to do so. We reached out to the hotel via WeChat the day before and rightfully received detailed instructions (in Chinese) to find the driver (the pick up service is actually outsourced to a separate company using 3 different vans), but once we found the van, the driver angrily insisted we call the hotel to identify us by confirming our phone number - we were not allowed to board without the hotel's confirmation, which should have been done directly with the driver well in advance of our arrival.
2. This hotel is not manned after hours, let alone 24 hours, so please make it known well beforehand that we will have to check in ourselves if arriving after hours, and provide clear instructions on how to do so instead of communicating them through the phone while guiding us using the security cameras. It is not the guests' responsibility to do your administrative work (to report ourselves to the authorities by scanning the police QR code and filling out our details) at 11 o'clock at night when we have an early morning train to catch the following day. The hotel should allow guests to enter the room as soon as possible upon arrival, not have us wait half an hour while they struggle with what was clearly their first time checking in foreign guests - worse still over the phone - insisting that this be done before we could enter our room.
3. If the hotel truly wants the patronage of foreign guests, they will have to prioritise our convenience and comfort over theirs by actually having someone check us in in-person. Remotely doing so to save costs is as absurd as expecting foreign guests to communicate our details over the phone, sending photos of ourselves, our passport details etc. via WeChat, and then finding our room card and the room by talking to someone over the phone in Chinese. At the very least, these requirements and instructions should be clearly produced and communicated beforehand so that nothing is improvised.
We hope the above experience helps improve what is a decent hotel providing good value for money.
