The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go!
The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it!
The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless!
When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming!
It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!

XXiemimiThe hotel view is absolutely fantastic, offering a great cityscape of Osaka. From the better room types, you get a direct view of a large area of Umeda, including the train station. The decor is European style, though it feels a bit 'knock-off' – like a fake European imitation. The details don't hold up under close inspection, and the cleanliness is noticeably not as good as in Tokyo. They're very generous with amenities, providing a lot. Breakfast is à la carte, suitable for those who enjoy Western breakfast; I found it pretty good, and the bread was quite tasty. There was a musty smell in the room, so overall, it didn't feel very high-end. The bedding was also quite ordinary. Its strengths are definitely the view and the value for money.

CChun Wei TangThis is easily one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Japan! We stayed for three nights and the location is unbeatable, literally steps from the train station and a 1-minute walk to Universal Studios. It is on the Universal City Walk street where you can find handful of restaurants and some shopping, Lawson is just next door.
The room was spacious for Japan standards, very clean, and well-maintained. Receptionist is super friendly and trying her best to explain everything for us.
We loved the daily free coffee vouchers, though keep in mind they are only valid from 2 PM onwards. Also, the rooftop onsen costs an extra 2,150 yen, but it’s worth it! It includes a free beer or ice cream at the lounge afterward, which has an incredible view. Highly recommended!

KkindaleiThe location is superb! It's right opposite Grand Front Plaza, which has many unique shops. The iconic Hankyu department store is also nearby. Umeda Station and Osaka Station are both within a 10-minute walk, and there are plenty of dining options around. The breakfast at the cafe next to the lobby was also great and very good value for money.
The hotel's front desk staff were all very pleasant, except for one Chinese staff member. I asked her to help me call and book a restaurant, but she insisted on speaking English to me, even though her English wasn't very good. First, she said I couldn't use the front desk phone for external calls and had to use my own mobile. When I agreed, she then went on and on, basically saying I absolutely needed a Japanese phone number for her to make the reservation. Her attitude was quite aggressive, even worse than the Japanese staff. I just turned around and booked it myself online… Thumbs down.

AAnonymous UserThis was the best family-friendly hotel for our trip to Japan. The room wasn't huge, but it was relatively new and very clean. They even put a step stool in front of the bathroom sink for kids and had a baby crib ready, which shows great attention to detail.
The breakfast was also good. Even though it was Golden Week and the hotel was packed, breakfast service was well-organized. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious, and the waffles and rice were tasty too!
The location is key – it's excellent. Right outside, you're on the Universal Studios Japan promenade, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the park entrance.

Ggtln1069I used to stay at the old Keihan Tenmabashi hotel every time, but this time I tried the Tenmabashi Station Front store. A 21-square-meter room is considered quite spacious in Japan. The separate wet and dry areas, along with a door to the bedroom, make it super convenient. The location is also a major plus, making it easy to get to Kyoto, and there's a shopping mall across the street. Everything you need for food, accommodation, and transportation is right there.

MMeitounaohahahahaThis is one of the few hotels in Japan with a 12 PM checkout, which is great. There's a Christmas tree downstairs that adds a lovely atmosphere. We went to the theme park on our second day, and this hotel is the closest one to it – the entrance is right downstairs! Food options are also very convenient. I highly recommend the fried beef cutlet, it was absolutely delicious! Our clothes got soaked on the Jurassic ride, which was totally unexpected, but thankfully we could just pop back to the hotel to change. You just need to get a stamp from the staff at the entrance to re-enter the park. I hope to bring my kids here next time and will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserIt is just opposite Bentencho Station, just across the street, and the transportation is very convenient. It takes 20 minutes to get to Universal by subway. Tips: When transferring, you can get off directly on the opposite side and transfer, which is very convenient, and their train schedules are well matched, so you don't have to wait for the train. There are two 711s downstairs, a life 350m away, and a Don Quijote 900m away. You can also take the subway to Osaka Station for shopping, which is also very convenient!
The hotel's breakfast is free for guests! No need to spend extra money, don't book the one with breakfast!
The room has a bathtub, and there are free bath salts on the first floor.
I saw a comment about the problem of storing luggage for money, because we left in the morning, so we didn't store it. However, all subway stations have storage machines (charged), you can pay attention to it.

SStrawberry08I recently visited the Osaka Kuchu Teien Observatory, and it was amazing. The 360-degree views from the 39th floor are stunning, especially on clear days when you can see all the way to Awaji Island. The unique design of the Umeda Sky Building, including the glass-enclosed escalator, makes the visit exciting. There are plenty of seating areas and cafes to relax and enjoy the view. The displays are informative and add to the experience. The admission fee is a bit high, and it can get crowded, so it’s best to go on weekdays or early in the morning. Overall, it’s a must-visit for incredible views of Osaka.
