The hotel's location is excellent. It's right by Odori Park, and the airport shuttle drops you off directly at the entrance. There's also a subway station nearby, and you can even walk to Tanukikoji shopping arcade. The front desk provides complimentary skincare sample sets based on the length of your stay, and you can pick up a wide variety of disposable toiletries from a station by the elevators on the first floor. The room itself was great overall – small but perfectly formed, with everything you need. One thing to note is that rooms aren't cleaned daily; it seems to be once every four nights, which the front desk will inform you about. For my three-night stay, there was no daily cleaning, but every morning before 10 AM, I could hang a fabric bag with my used towels and pajamas, as well as my trash, on the doorknob outside my room. Staff would then replace them with fresh ones on the door.

This hotel is a top choice for those who prioritize location and value for money! The location is superb. Traveling with seniors, we could reach Tanukikoji, Moyuk, Daiso, the Pole Town underground shopping street, and Don Quijote within 5 minutes. Parco and Mitsukoshi were within 10 minutes. There are countless restaurants and drugstores nearby. Right across from the hotel is a chain tonkatsu restaurant, packed with locals. There's a slight wait during peak hours, but it offers great value, and on weekdays, they even have special lunch sets. Pork lovers should definitely try their most expensive set (though portions are huge, and everyone has to order one – consider ordering the cheapest one to round out the number of orders if you're not that hungry). Regarding the rooms, we adjusted to a cheaper, randomly assigned room before arrival, requesting adjacent rooms on a high floor and quiet, and all our requests were met. We ended up with three twin rooms on the highest floor. The beds weren't small, and the room size was definitely enough for one person. I had a 28-inch and a 24-inch suitcase plus a duffel bag, and I could open everything. For two people with a lot of luggage, it might be a bit tight. Overall, the hotel facilities are relatively new, small but have everything you need. Breakfast, if included, is very basic. For three days, aside from one type of bread (croissant and whole wheat toast rotated), everything else was the same. The taste was decent, but the selection was very limited. We mostly just had a quick bite before heading out each day. I'd recommend skipping breakfast unless you have seniors or children who absolutely need to eat right after waking up. The picture shows all the available options. There's also what they call 'free light meals' from 3 PM to 10 PM. The pictures made it look abundant, but we didn't see any desserts for three days, only ice cream. Coffee and hot tea are available all day. There's an ice machine on the first floor. I basically used it to sit down and rest while waiting for the seniors to finish their meal after my morning stroll. The fruit tea is delicious. Rooms don't provide water, so you'd often see people refilling their bottles here, which is fine. Service-wise, it varied: The long-haired female staff member at check-in was rather cold and had mediocre English skills. The group before us was Korean guests, and she treated both groups with a flat, expressionless demeanor. However, she processed everything quite quickly. There was also a Japanese middle-aged man with a protruding belly. Initially, he stood behind the two front desk staff, watching them work. I thought he was a manager overseeing operations, but his attitude was also very impatient. When I tried to pay the accommodation tax, I wanted to swipe my card. The machine and the female staff member weren't familiar with it, and it didn't work at first (it turned out the magnetic strip was inserted the wrong way). He kept saying ”no no no,” snatched my card, and tried to insert it. But my card didn't have a chip, so inserting it wouldn't work, which I had explained beforehand. In the end, it still had to be swiped. I've never encountered such rude front desk staff. The female staff next to him also looked a bit startled. However, several subsequent staff members, both male and female, regardless of their English proficiency, had very good attitudes. Especially one young man – we were waiting to use the laundry, and one machine finished but the clothes hadn't been picked up. I went to the front desk to explain, and the young man immediately responded with a smile. A tip for everyone: if you're like us and want to wash all your accumulated outerwear at the end of your stay, try to avoid peak hours after dinner. There are only two washing machines and two dryers, and when it gets crowded, some people don't come to pick up their clothes on time, which can be frustrating. There's also an airport limousine bus stop nearby (we didn't use it but saw it, not far away). This chain hotel is ubiquitous, and its locations are generally good. Overall, it offers good value for money!👍

I've stayed in many hotels in various cities in Japan, but this is one of my favorites. It has everything I need, and is conveniently located near Odori Park and the bustling Susukino area. My room was excellent – larger than I expected and with a decent city view. It was clean, relatively new, and well-equipped. The hotel was well-managed, and the staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee every morning; they were tasety. If I have the chance to return to Sapporo, I will definitely stay here again.

The room was quite spacious, especially for a Japanese hotel – definitely one of the largest I've stayed in. The location is excellent; it's just a short walk to Nijo Market, the large supermarket in Susukino, Tanukikoji shopping street, and major shopping malls. There are tons of restaurants around the hotel, so you can pretty much find anything you're craving. The hotel breakfast is good, and if you love sashimi, you'll absolutely adore what they offer. If I go to Sapporo again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.

This hotel is great! The location is convenient, just a short walk to major attractions, which saves a lot of time whether you're taking a taxi or running errands. Overall, I think the environment is pretty good, but I did notice one small issue: there was quite a bit of dust on the clothes hangers in the room, which needs attention. Other areas seemed mostly fine, and it wasn't too uncomfortable to stay there. What I liked most was the breakfast; there was a wide variety of items. While there weren't many Western breakfast options, what they had was delicious.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The location is a godsend for busy travelers. You exit the JR East ticket gate, walk through a passage with Muji ads directly in front of you, then see a 7-Eleven. Cross the road and it's just 20 meters away. The facilities are also perfect. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and the bath and shower are combined, which is great for a family of three as everyone can get what they need without wasting time! My only complaint is that when we arrived late on the first night, despite booking for three people, there were only two pillows. My child's amenities were also completely missing. The front desk staff only spoke Japanese, so I had to go up and down multiple times to sort it out. Given that Japanese hotels charge per person, essential items shouldn't be missing. There were only three self-service washing machines, and one was out of order. So, it felt like there were hardly any available. Other points: The room was cleaned daily, there's an ice machine, and a communal space where you can bring food to eat, as long as you sort your trash. This is much more thoughtful than eating in a cramped room and a really great feature!

The rooms at the South Exit are a bit smaller compared to other Toyoko Inns, but the location is very convenient, close to Sapporo subway station. The staff are very friendly and polite. Breakfast can be taken back to the room, and there's a coffee machine in the lobby where you can enjoy complimentary drinks.

I recently stayed at Hotel Mystays Sapporo Susukino and overall had a comfortable and convenient experience that suited my travel style perfectly. The hotel is located in the heart of Susukino, Sapporo’s most vibrant entertainment and dining district, which makes it an excellent base for exploring the city. It is about a five to seven minute walk from Susukino Subway Station, giving easy access to other parts of Sapporo, including Odori Park and Sapporo Station. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants, ramen shops, convenience stores, cafes, and nightlife spots, so finding something to eat at any hour is never a problem. Despite being in a lively neighborhood, the hotel itself feels calm and secure once inside. The room was compact, as expected for a Japanese city hotel, but it was thoughtfully designed to maximize space. I stayed in a standard room, which had a comfortable bed, a small desk, a flat-screen television, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and air conditioning. There was enough space to open a medium-sized suitcase, although travelers with very large luggage might find it slightly tight. The bathroom was clean and functional, with a combined bathtub and shower unit, along with basic toiletries provided. Water pressure was good, and hot water was consistent, which was especially appreciated during the colder Hokkaido weather. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was satisfactory. Housekeeping maintained the room well, and the common areas such as the lobby and hallways were tidy. The staff members were polite and professional, and while not all were fluent in English, communication was smooth and efficient. Check-in and check-out processes were straightforward and quick. One highlight of the stay was the breakfast buffet, which featured a mix of Japanese and Western options. There were rice dishes, miso soup, grilled fish, salads, bread, eggs, and several local Hokkaido ingredients. It was a convenient way to start the day, especially before heading out for sightseeing. The hotel also offers practical amenities such as free Wi-Fi, coin-operated laundry machines, vending machines, and luggage storage services. These facilities make it especially suitable for mid-length stays or travelers moving between cities. Overall, Hotel Mystays Sapporo Susukino delivers solid value for money. While it is not a luxury property, it provides comfort, cleanliness, and a prime location at a reasonable price. I would recommend it to solo travelers, couples, or friends looking for an affordable and well-located hotel in Sapporo.

The place is fairly conveniently and centrally located. Easy to get to many places just by walking. There is a bus stop to the Chitose airport that’s fairly close to the hotel. The breakfast is not bad, although seems to have not changed during my stay. The laundry is slightly costly but amazing, works really well. There are two problems. One is that the bathroom smells bad. I cannot really manage this issue after two days. Another issue is that the elevator to the breakfast restaurant seems to be a bit dirty and there’s no one cleaning it.

The hotel's location and amenities are absolutely perfect. Just a short walk downstairs and you're right in the bustling area, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel's internal hygiene management is also very good, with both public areas and rooms being very clean. However, like most Japanese business hotels, the room space is relatively compact. If you're traveling with multiple large 29-inch suitcases, opening them in the room might be a bit of a squeeze. Additionally, the Wi-Fi signal in some corners can be a bit slow during peak hours. Nevertheless, if you're just looking for a clean, well-located, and affordable place to sleep and bathe, this is still a highly recommendable and perfectly suitable choice. The breakfast and tableware are exquisite.
