4-Star Hotels in Semarang

Nice staycation at one of the 4-star hotels in the heart of Semarang, near Simpang Lima. It's a cool new hotel, clean, and has a strategic location. Right next to the hotel, there are plenty of food options, like Tegal goat satay and authentic Semarang Hapkie noodles, plus a Superindo supermarket across the street. I often stay at this hotel chain for business trips. The breakfast menu has a good variety, including dim sum. The only downside is that the rooms don't have wardrobes, drawers, or anything like that, so there's no space to store belongings. One more important thing: please offer more attractive big discounts so I'll always book through vendors like Trip.com.

As mentioned on my previous review the hotel tomorrow and provides a really good however aging amenities and hotel experience. The stay was good the food was amazing however I do have to say that in the four star hotel class in central samarang there are a lot of other choices so feel free to take a look at those first but do not leave novotel entirely out of your list.

Poor management of their organization means they can't distinguish between priority scales for hotel guests and hotel events when anticipating parking for guest vehicles and event attendees. Furthermore, the staff and manager's response was unhelpful, offering no solutions. This forced hotel guests to argue and insist on their rights, which should have been unnecessary if things were organized properly.

The room was spacious, and the A/C worked great. The staff were very helpful. There's a small pool and a compact gym, but it's pretty well-equipped. The only downside was the elevator, which got a bit hot, but since I only used it for short rides, it wasn't a major issue.

Im quite suprise with this hotel. Value for money indeed. The hotel was clean and it is near paragon mall and other landmarks. Walkable to anything. Beside the hotel, there's a convenient store for late night snacks. One thing I noticed, AC is a bit warm, maybe its not working well. Reported it in the reception but after they checked it, it improved a little. They did not offered us to transfer to other room. Room is a bit small, max of 2 only. There was a strong smell in the reception area that triggers my rhinitis, I hope they change the hotel perfume. All in all, I would say, I will come back in this hotel.

Overall service was okay, the room was okay, BUT... I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The AC in the room was warm/hot. Maybe because I was out most of the time, it didn't bother me much. But it was annoying at night and in the morning when it was hot. The shower in the bathroom was moldy, and the sink was also moldy.

Booked this for a colleague and it's definitely worth recommending. The location is superb, right next to a mall and within walking distance to Senso-ji Temple. The rooms are modern and clean, the service is warm and friendly, and the breakfast is plentiful. The pool also offers a great view. Very satisfied overall!

The lobby is so beautiful but not really match with the room situation. Actually I expect more… poor cleanliness, carpet looks old and also the AC knob looks so dirty. And very disappointed, when I took my breakfast, they are still using many broken bowl 🫣🫣🫣 Out of standard… I think the hotel should improve this problem… I am not sure to return for the second stay…

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in years, easily top three. Their attention to detail and dedication to service quality are absolutely incredible. I wholeheartedly and earnestly recommend this hotel to all travelers; they are truly outstanding. As for location, it's very close to Semarang's Old Town, about 500 meters away, making it a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to explore the old town's charm and vibrant atmosphere.

The breakfast is horrible, bland porridge, only lettuce for the salad, there's pasta but its macaroni covered in small red sauce with no taste, tables doesnt get cleaned properly, 2 people on the egg corner only serving egg with salt, no toppings, no veggies, just pure egg + salt, main course got no variation, noodle rice 1 type of veg, a fish, and chicken. To access the restaurant you need to go through the pool, cool way of thinking, not practical when theres a lot of children playing with the water, parents and nannys sitting on the side.
