Serviced apartments a short walk from Surfers Paradise beach, 5 mins walk G:link light rail stop (Cypress Avenue). It's also 3 mins to Budds Beach which is a nice quiet sunset spot. Stayed in a one bed which was very spacious (~70-80sqm?) and, southfacing, had a good view of the city lights at night and with glimpses of Surfers Paradise beach. Cleanliness was quite good, but you have to take the rubbish out yourself, since there's no housekeeping. Amenity-wise, it's all self contained with your own dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The lobby cafe isn't the cheapest but very handy if you're heading out on a day trip but don't have time to pop out for brunch in Surfers first.

Our kids were fascinated with the 4 cartoon characters they have at the resort. We were told that they pay a visit during breakfast hours. Having missed them on two occasions, we wanted to ensure our little ones got to meet them. We were told yesterday that if you come at 8am they will be here in between till 8 30am. We woke up early beside being tired from all Dreamworld activities and made it for breakfast at 8am. Our little girls were so eager to meet them, then the staff made up lies began, they are on their way, they are at the kids club, it's busy today should be here at 9am, we kept waiting till 9 20 still nothing. Then staff at front desk advised they may not come today, hopefully tomorrow. A bunch of non caring staff just going about doing their job not caring the impact of their actions. You made my little ones Cry, Their words 'this is the worst day at a holiday over' so here you go guys wear these disappointed as a badge. This is beside the bed that we got in the room waking up with a backache each morning as it sinks like a tub overnight, it's been gulping neurofen with breakfast each morning Room 3221, yes we are still here - last day but not impressed. This resort has so much it could get right and make it perfect - it starts with caring

Stayed recently during the week so no noise from Cali beach club next door. In fact perfectly quiet once balcony door was shut. But hey, your in Surfers Paradise so you can't expect absolute silence. Rooms were a bit in need of a paint but so what. It was immaculately clean, smelt lovely and was cheap as well. Bathroom amenities smelt beautiful. Big containers of shampoo and conditioner and body lotion and bath gel/ hand wash. I didn't have to use any of my own supplies except toothpaste and toothbrush. The girls on reception were extremely kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay again.

Overall good feeling
Advantages:
1. Very clean, the room infrastructure is relatively complete, and the room is also very new.
2. The room is large, with a large balcony, kitchen, living room, two rooms, and two bathrooms.
3. There are many restaurants downstairs, the hotel is very close to the beach, and there is a tram station nearby, with convenient transportation.
4. You can use all the facilities and equipment of the Hilton Hotel, such as swimming pool, gym, etc.
Disadvantages:
1. There is no 24-hour front desk service, and there are only office staff from 10am to 5pm. It will be difficult to contact them if you have something. For example, I forgot to take a plug cord this time. I contacted them through Ctrip at 3 pm local time, but the front desk did not respond until late the next morning. However, the items had been cleaned, so the whole service was very delayed and inconvenient. (This is the main problem)
2. There is an additional cleaning fee of 158 Australian dollars before check-in, which is not cheap when combined with the hotel fee.
3. Breakfast is not included. Of course, you can also eat nearby. There are many restaurants nearby, which is not a big problem.
4. The quilt provided is a bit thin, so you may need to pay attention to this if you go there in winter. You can ask the customer service if there are any spare ones before booking a hotel.

Had a great stay at the Hilton. Upon check in the washing machine, safe, and bedroom TV were not working. However maintenance was able to resolve all of the issues and reception apologized and provided a nice bottle of wine as compensation. That is great service. Many amenities at this property made it a great time as well. Extremely clean. Lots of towels. Comfortable bed. No other complaints just a good stay!

Booked a one bedroom ocean spa apartment for 6 nights in Mid Oct 2024. Stayed on 38 floor. First impression when entering that apartment was ”great view”.
Apartment is spacious and very clean, kitchen facility has stocked with many pot & pan and utensils, can make regular meals with no issue. Also has washer & dryer too. There is a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom that is a bonus!
We brought food from Coles supermarket (walking distance from Q1) and made breakfast and dinner.
To get to Q1 resort from Gold Coast airtport, We brought a public transport card ”GO” from shop in airport arrival hall, took the airport bus #777 from airport (30 minutes ride) to Broadbeach, transfer to the local tram, get off at Surfers Paradise stop. Q1 resort is right across the street. The whole ride is last than 45 minutes, cost only 50 cents AUD., great deal!!
BTW, all bus & tram ride within Gold Coast area is 50 cents. So get a GO card. Just make sure you tap on and off with each ride.

I was one of the attendees for FurDU 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Gold Coast (11 - 15 May 2023), and I was very pleasantly surprised about my time at the hotel itself. Once I got to the hotel, I went to reception, took a little while to check in, the staff were very friendly and quite helpful. They explained to me some of the key features of the hotel itself, also the fact that I was one of their club members or something, and that I had free internet throughout my stay - which was a bonus - hardly ever used it though. As I walked back to the lift I checked my room number - which had a bit of significance with myself (give you a clue: the angelic number). To get to your floor, just simply tap the card on the scanner, then press the floor, only took a matter of seconds before I reached mine, and not long before I had finally let myself into my room. The room itself was absolutely beautiful, as I placed my bags down I took a quick tour of the room to see what amenities I had. The bathroom was quite spacious, a rather large shower and plenty of towels etc (which came in handy). As I'd spent a long trip getting up to the hotel I was a bit on the sweaty side, so I got a quick change of clothes, had a quick shower (make sure the door clicks all the way in - otherwise you'll end up flooding the bathroom floor which is what I ALMOST did). (There's so much positive stuff to write about the hotel - so I'll keep it short) The bed itself, quite spacious, the pillows themselves were plenty enough, I found that I got a good night's sleep, and in the morning went down had some breakfast - a great selection to choose from, be it from hot food, to pastries, cereal and even fruit and yoghurt. Relish (the restaurant) takes care of breakfast in the morning, plenty of space to sit, have as much as you want to eat for breakfast and get out again. Dinners were absolutely amazing, same spot, the staff were quite friendly, very quick to take my order (had the chicken parmi one night, the burger the next), and a beer or two to drink. The next night I went to the restaurant - I pretty much got the same spot where I sat last time, the wait staff even remembered what kind of beer I had from the night before ... now THAT'S impressive, also one aspect about service that I really enjoyed. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, so much so I honestly cannot wait to return next year to experience it all over again .. In all honesty there's nothing at all I can fault the hotel for .. a full 5 * review from all aspects of the hotel, the staff, the food and beverage and everything they've got to offer. So, if you're looking for a place to stay, be it for a short trip away, or a longer vacation, depends on what you're doing, be it visiting the theme parks or the local attractions, I would, without hesitation, highly recommend your stay at the Crowne Plaza Surfer's Paradise, try and get a room with a high floor facing the beach as the views

IIce_D_8Location was great - a few minutes walk to the main part of Surfers Paradise Beach, the Cavill Avenue shopping centre is across the road, and all the restaurants, bars and clubs you ever want. Surprised me that room housekeeping wanted to clean my room at 9:15 am on a Sunday morning - a bit early, and well before the checkout time (I was already staying another night to Monday). Also found it odd that I couldn't reach the switches for the bedside lighting from the bed (physically had to get out of bed to turn them off) - but that's a room design choice not easily fixed by staff. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
MMUHAMMAD ADANANThe room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed me the most. We spent 5 nights here on holiday and I must say that everything was excellent. The location of the hotel is quite close to my destination as well as some other business centers in the city. As for the room, it’s very clean and super huge, it is excellent and surprisingly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others having a holiday. This hotel suit those a family trip.
GGuest UserThe room and views were amazing. Property very clean, spacious and overall lovely property. The only problem was a howling wind that rattled the sliding door that kept us awake all night. We put a pillow up against the glass door, we opened the glass door slightly, but nothing stopped the noise. We advised on check out and we were told ”sorry” that's it. No offer of a $50 discount- nothing. $1000 for 2 nights accommodation with one night without sleep....
JJaniceAWe booked the hotel deluxe studio for the three of us (girls) through this app, it's comes with a buffet breakfast as well. For the accommodation, location, and room it was great! The room is tidy and clean though it has few amenities (no water bottles, toothbrush and toothpaste), lucky we were able to have them. Hotel buffet breakfast served a different variety of foods and drinks. For the location, it was very convenient, it was within walking distance of the beach and Cavil Avenue.
Hotel very dated, and in need of refurbishment. All parts of hotel dirty and smelly. Id say little to no maintenance done on outside. Gardens dead, urgent need of all areas water blasted. Pool area very aged, with broken tiles. Not tidied up each day with chair cushions left scattered eveywhere. Inside rooms very smelly, like 40 years of scale cigarette smoke. 40 year old spa bath that you had to climb in to shower. TV that didnt work in bedroom. Not smart tv in lounge room, so no access to netflix etc only free tv. Booked in for 3 people. Only 1 bed made up. When we rung reception to have other beds made up, we were told it would cost extra. When we were in elevator, it stopped on another floor and a worker got in with a cleaning trolley. Clearly there was no room for him, but he just kept pushing his trolley into us, until we were jammed between the wall and his trolley so he could close the door. He was very arrogant and and clearly didnt care about us as guests. If you want a quiet nights sleep, this is not the place. As the building is 40 year old, original single glazed windows where you hear everything. Fire station, police etc just around the corner, so sirens constantly all day and night. Traffic noise also very loud. Overall id rate our stay as a 1, only because of the location. Very handly to surfers shops, beach and restaurants.
GGuest UserWe stayed in a 3 bed unit with our 3 grown kids and there was plenty of room for all of us. The extra bathroom was a complete bonus. Would have received 5 stars if the spa outside had been heated and if there had been security screens on the windows so we could leave them open. Great BBQ area and quietened down nicely at night. Pool is shaded during some of the day so able to extend our swimming time during the day. Easy walk to the beach and to the light rail stop.
GGuest UserThis hotel offers good value and is conveniently located near Cavill Avenue, the heart of Surfers Paradise. While the room felt a bit dated, it was still clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the balcony with a lovely river view was a nice bonus.
GGuest UserIt's getting incredibly expensive to stay in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Budget options are severely limited, and inevitably you will have to make sacrifices. But if you're looking for decent accomodation that won't break the bank, this property has a lot going for it. It's definitely an older type building, and doesn't attempt to compete with the glittering modern skyscrapers constantly springing up along this coastal *****, but its location is unbeatable. Right across the road from the beach, and barely 5 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Cavill Avenue, yet once you're inside the apar**ent, you never feel like you're in the thick if it, and there's virtually no noise disturbance, so the best of both worlds really. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, staff friendly, and parking is free - another bonus that is rapidly dying out! There is also a nice pool, sauna/steam facilities, games room and small gym. And so to those compromises - There's no in-room laundry facilities, no dishwasher, and I think this is the only hotel room I've ever seen anywhere in Australia without aircon. (ceiling fans only) More of an observation than a criticism, but we only stayed for one night so it didn't really affect us. It could have been potentially problematic for a longer stay, especially in hot weather, so worth thinking about. Overall, I found Chateau Beachside excellent value and a pleasant place to stay for a short-medium visit. If you are realistic about what you can expect at this price point, you will definitely not be disappointed.
SSarah FIs a disgusting hotel I never leave reviews for hotels but I felt as if I had to. There is no good in this hotel our room Was beyond dated furniture paying over $100 a night you expect a clean room This room Was far from it . Exposed nails on the floor. Dirty carpet and bed. Mould in kettle and fridge This place needs to be closed down and re done. Also I think it’s totally ridiculous that they think 2 towels for two people staying for 5 days is enough. I had to pay $3 extra for more towels . Do not stay here! This hotel almost ruined our holiday. Also we did complain about the room and got given another room Which wasn’t much better again mould in fridge and kettle Bathroom fan not working. Toliet didn’t flush properly And we both came home with bed bug bites
The WORST hostel I've ever stayed in. If you read positive comments they must be fake 100%! I spoke with other people during my road trip up to the east coast and everyone told me the same: this hostel is a nightmare, dirty, full of cockroaches and people that enter and go whenever they want in the room even if they are not from that room. The hostel itself is disgustingly dirty. Flies and pigeons in the kitchen, the entire room was dirty including cockroaches, sand, hairs and you can tell that people live there because every single space of the room is taken by their bags scattered around/clothes etc. Bed sheets were disgustingly dirty/full of sand, bathrooms don't look like they've ever been cleaned. I chose a 10 female dorm and at some point a girl that was surely living there brought one of the guy of the hostel in the room and they started to have s** with no problems and without caring of the other people in there and PLUS in the morning I went to the toilet (inside the room) and the guy opened the door… luckily I was already dressed, but this shouldn’t happen. And then he just ran away and went to hide in the in the girl bed as if I didn’t see him… Would definitely NOT recommend to stay there.
