Although it is close to the station and in the downtown area, the security is solid and I was able to stay with peace of mind. Recommended.

Good experienced staying here , it's near the station and there are lots of stores and restaurant just near the area of the hotel.even if you get hungry in the middle of the night u may find a convenience store open 24/7.

I stayed for 7 nights on way to see family in OZ from the UK, my reason for choosing Sakura Ikebukuro was that I was stopping off to see my daughter who is doing a year at nearby Rikkyo University. The first thing is to say that there were very helpful reception staff who spoke good English. It's on a reasonably quiet street (for Tokyo). I stayed in a single room, there was a sign in the lobby that no visitors are allowed in rooms. I have no experience of Japanese hotels and was told they are generally very small, but this was fine, the bed was probably a small double, so generous for one. There was no cupboard space but some hooks on the wall to hang clothes, but that wasn't an issue for me. Below the window was a large shelf (with TV that I didn't use) and sockets to recharge my devices. There was an ensuite and the shower was over a small bath but plenty of hot water and good pressure. I took the breakfast option in the cafe across the road that was cheap but basic, thick white toast with butter and jam and coffee. You could buy yourself an extra boiled egg if you wanted one. I think my rating overall was a 4.5 but as that's not an option I've gone for the full 5 on the basis of how friendly and helpful the staff were. Overall good value for money for the single traveller.

Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

Had a good stay at this place. It is only about 7 mins' walk from the Shinjuku Gyoemmae station on the Marunouchi line. When you exit from Exit 2, turn left, turn left and go straight down the road about 5 mins till you come to the main road, turn right and you see the Citadines signboard. The studio double that we booked was well equipped - there was just about everything - microwave oven, kettle, iron and ironing board, cooking utensils, plates, cups, bowls. Located at a quieter part of Shinjuku but plenty restaurants, 7-eleven, lawson and family mart nearby. Service was good . We left our baggage there when we checked out and came back for it later before leaving for the airport.

Great hotel. Excellent customer service. Near the train station. Room is clean and new. WiFi is good. If you are staying in the superior room, do ask for the Mt Fuji view. We stayed on the 19th floor and we can view the beautiful Mt Fuji from our room.

Hotel staff have provide great service. But the facilities inside the hotel room was 0/100. The air condition was useless you can’t change the temperature and it keep feel like 30’c. Also the bad was terrible you can’t even have enough support when you sleeping. I have book this hotel for 4 night and each night I was keep regret. The staff service is 100/100 helpful and happy to service you. But the room facilities is speechless. The location of the hotel is good at least you can just go down have shopping inside sunshine city. But at the end I will not choose this hotel anymore if it still haven’t change any facilities By the way the refrigerator was small too you max can put 6-7 500ml bottles inside then it will be full

I left my luggage before check-in time and walked out of the area and checked in in the evening, but the luggage I left was already in the room. I don't remember anything other than our hotel that did this at a hotel in this price range. The staff has the image of many foreigners, but there is no problem at all because it is not 々 that is concerned about Japanese. It is about 900 meters away from Nakamura Bridge subway station in Nerima District. There are two straight roads. There are many small restaurants on both sides of the small road out of the subway station. There is also a supermarket selling food and daily necessities, as well as a FamilyMart. The room is very small. In addition to the bed, a three-layer metal rack for clothes, and a desk, it can only accommodate one person. The bed seems to be 1.5 meters long and can sleep two people. The quilt is very thin. It was only 5 degrees on the night I arrived. Because the window had to pass the wifi line, there was a gap that was not closed tightly, and there was always cold wind coming in. The air conditioner was aging and there was no hot air. The next day, I asked the boss to add a quilt to the bed, and it was warm. It is also close to the main road. Because the road is paved with gravel and asphalt, it is very noisy. The next day, I bought a second-hand head-mounted noise-cancelling headset to solve the problem of sound interference. The corridor and the room are very clean. Because the corridor is high, you must change your shoes when you go up (there are shared slippers in the entrance). The boss comes to mop the corridor early every morning, which is very clean. The entrance hall also serves as a shared kitchen, which has a large refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, gas stove, kettle, water heater, vegetable sink, and wash basin. It is very convenient. I put breakfast and milk in the refrigerator every night and heat them in the microwave the next day. It is difficult to contact in advance. I can only send a text message in the system on the day of arrival to know the room. There is no one at the front desk, but when I went to open the door of the room, the boss's son came out in time and said: Slippers are optional, the bathroom is on the left and the toilet is on the right, and you can call him if you need anything. The boss also sent a plate of welcome candies the next day and chatted with me. He was quite easygoing.

Fantastic place to stay. Despite the compact size, the room was incredibly well-equipped, clean, and even with window here you can see the Tokyo tower. I look forward to returning.
