If you choose to use alternative public lots nearby, prices vary; for example, the nearby Trust Park lot charges rates like ¥500 for daytime parking (7:00–18:00) or ¥200 per 60 minutes. Its the closest to the hotel if you dun mind paying extra. "The stay was decent overall, but there is definitely room for improvement. While the general experience was okay, the room cleanliness wasn't up to par—specifically, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the cups and the bathroom. Additionally, the door leading from the balcony to the hot spring room couldn't be securely locked, which was a bit concerning. With better housekeeping and maintenance, this would be a much better place to stay."

"Initially, I was torn between choosing between Kai Beppu and Harumi, and I'm so glad I ultimately went with Harumi. From the service to the facilities, this onsen (hot spring) ranks as one of the best I've visited in Japan, alongside Izu, Arima, and Karuizawa. Enjoying a hot soak with family, then relaxing on the balcony listening to the ocean waves while sipping a drink—it was such a perfect evening. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding, featuring many local specialties. I'll definitely be back!"

"The room was incredibly spacious, with a balcony and a private hot spring bath! The meals were generally good. The Spanish-speaking front desk staff member was very enthusiastic, escorted us to our room, and gave us a detailed introduction. It's a shame the weather wasn't great; we didn't get to see the sunrise. The next day, it poured rain, and the Yufuin no Mori train was canceled. The front desk helped us call a taxi to the station, suggested we take the bus, and even looked up the nearest stop for us. Excellent service overall."

"One of the nice features of this hotel is that you can enjoy the onsen while looking out over the ocean. However, it is not very convenient without a car. I walked all the way from Beppu Station before discovering that the hotel offers a free shuttle bus. I’ve attached the shuttle bus schedule—I’d strongly recommend using it. The room was the biggest disappointment. Although it was advertised as a renovated, high-floor ocean-view room, it still felt very old. The bathroom was especially outdated, and there was a very high step between the bathroom and the room, making it easy to trip. The room really feels like it needs a proper renovation. Overall, the ocean-view onsen was enjoyable, but the rooms did not match my expectations."

"Great view if your room is facing the sea.. You get the traffic noise for rooms facing the mountain as it’s also next to the main road. Seems like stains on the floor in guest rooms is a common in this hotel. Onsen is nice when it’s not busy.  Love the soft serve from the dinner buffet!"

"My friends and I are very satisfied with this hotel. We were a little worried at first because the room facilities still maintain the old style (key-operated doors, traditional old-style tatami mats and paper doors). We booked the ”one bed, two meals” package, and dinner was at Choose to eat kaiseki cuisine in the room. The chef's craftsmanship and menu design made us feel that it was well worth the money spent this time! ! Although the dining space for breakfast is not large, every dish is very delicious! If you want to talk about the shortcomings, it is probably that the space for bathing is not large, but my friends and I think that compared to other hot springs that are full of people, this environment is quite refined and comfortable. The hotel's lobby and public spaces have all been transformed into a modern style, and not only free drinks are provided (there are even draft beers for you to drink). I personally like and recommend this hotel"

"The previous reviews are spot on. The entrance is indeed a bit hard to find, and Google Maps doesn't quite get it right. It's actually right at the intersection of Daigaku Dori (Rikushoen) – turn in at the traffic light, at the road sign for Beppu University (see pictures 1 and 2). The staff were excellent and very thoughtful. We bought some fireworks ourselves, and they helped us set up with water and a bucket so we could light them on the sand. The shampoo and hairdryer were great! This is the only place in Beppu where you can enjoy sand baths. You can choose to just go for the sand bath, but it's super convenient to stay there and walk over. Do note that the sand bath costs extra. The room has a beautiful view and is quite spacious. It was just too hot in summer, so we didn't get to fully enjoy the private onsen. The only downside is that it's next to a main road, so it can be a bit noisy."

"Triple room for a family of four. The hot spring is only an indoor bath, but it's great value for money. I recommend not ordering breakfast, but looking for a place that serves breakfast instead!"
