GGuest UserThe best thing about Cachet is the location, right in the middle of a very lively area with upscale bars and restaurants and cafes, quiet neighborhood of tree-lined streets with old school walk-up apartments. The hotel rooms and facilities aren't the newest and while the design isn't exactly up to date it's quite unique. Cool artwork in the lobby. Rooms are huge. I had a 4th floor room with great views. Started my day with the tea set; there's also a pod-type coffee machine. On the top floor there's a laundry room gym and billiards. A bit old though so that area could use a refresh. The restaurant operates as a German-style brewpub open to the public except during breakfast. So they have German sausage which was very good. (We had to ask for yellow mustard, which they should have out instead of ketchup!) The breads weren't fresh though. Was really impressed with the quality of the broth in the noodle bar. Front desk service was really nice & helpful. They did a good job keeping our Taobao packages for us so they were ready when we arrived.

GGuest UserIve been in china travelling for over a month. This hotel has been the best place ive stayed at all trip! Really cool entrance as the building is shared with a mushroom hotpot restaurant and the building is a historic courtyard style building. Location is right in the middle of the tourist district so very convinient to get around and lots of great restaurants The room i had had a beautiful tall wooden ceiling and everything was clean and modern.
The service was also excellent. They were great communicating and sharing recommendations on wechat and even helped me with my load of laundry. Lastly, the vibe. I loved sitting in the courtyard library/study on the big comfy chairs to wind down the day. The property also has several very friendly and well cared for cats. A perfect home away from home feel. Honestly, the stay here has been a highlight in kunming for me and i cant wait till the next time im back.

SsmjrrrMainly focusing on the environment choice, just brushed it and did not hesitate to book, after the hotel, the real thing is the same as the photo. Because I chose a suite for my birthday, it was very retro and very filmed! Hygiene really has nothing to say, can not find any problems, the bedding is also very new, the slippers are very comfortable, the toothbrush is very easy to use, there are various foam hand sanitizer and laundry detergent these small details are also very plus points, but if you have a disposable toilet pad, it would be better. The facilities are very complete in all aspects, the sofa and bedding and the wardrobe are very high-quality, very high-end and textured, the overall decoration style is really like, whether it is the appearance of the hotel lobby or the interior, the rooms and corridors are very American. The high-end atmosphere is high-grade, and the service is also very good. Every waiter I met from check-in to check-out was very warm and thoughtful, and very caring. I have introduced it to several friends. I will definitely choose here if I have the opportunity in the future! However, there is a suggestion that the sofa cushion of this suite has a broken corner cushion. If there is a condition, it is recommended to renovate it. However, the sofa is not sitting much, and the sofa cushion is not very visible, and it is not much impact. Another point that is highly recommended is that the hotel room has a smoke alarm! ! ! ! ! We originally booked a 60-square-meter hot spring king room with a terrace and breakfast. To our surprise and delight, the hotel kindly upgraded us to an even larger room free of charge.
The upgraded room was incredibly spacious. Besides the bedroom, it featured a separate living room, a large balcony, an enormous bathroom, a jetted tub, and a private sauna. The moment we opened the door, we couldn't help but exclaim, ”This is huge!”
The room's design heavily incorporated wood, complemented by high, distinctive ceilings, creating a strong resort vibe. Our favorite areas were the balcony and living room; they felt incredibly open and were perfect for simply relaxing, enjoying tea, or chatting.
After a soak in the jetted tub in the evening, followed by a session in the sauna, all the day's fatigue just melted away. This setup far exceeded our initial expectations.
The hotel's service also deserves praise. While a free upgrade isn't mandatory, it's these extra touches that make guests feel valued and cared for.
The biggest takeaway from this stay is that we booked a hot spring room but unexpectedly enjoyed a suite-level experience. From the room size and facilities to overall comfort, everything was exceptionally satisfying.
I would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation.

MMiLeeThe hotel is located right by Dianchi Lake, with separate lanes for vehicles and pedestrians. There's an observation deck not far from the hotel, and it's about 800-900 meters to Haigeng Park and Haihong Wetland. However, you still have to walk further to get to the cable car station, and I estimate the dam is even further – I didn't go there. The hotel is 2.3 kilometers from Xingti Road Station on Metro Line 5. Our package included one complimentary drop-off service to the metro station, which was really good. It would be even better if they offered round-trip shuttle service to the metro for backpackers.
However, there aren't many shops around the hotel. For dining, it's either the hotel restaurant or ordering takeout. Park 1903 Commercial Street is about 3 kilometers away, so it's more suitable if you have a car.
The hotel service was excellent. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and drivers were all incredibly gentle and friendly. The manager even proactively helped us with our luggage.
The hotel is quite understated; in fact, the observation deck not far away offers amazing sunrise views, but they never promote it.
