The Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel is an excellent, high-value choice for families visiting Odaiba and Disney. It's just a 3-minute walk to both the Rinkai Line and Yurikamome Line stations, and you can reach the Odaiba Gundam and Statue of Liberty area in just 10 minutes by train. The hotel also offers a free, reservation-only shuttle bus directly to Tokyo Disneyland, and airport limousines to/from Haneda and Narita airports make travel hassle-free. Rooms are clean and tidy, and the renovated rooms are bright and airy. High-floor ocean view rooms offer stunning views of Tokyo Bay. The hotel thoughtfully provides baby yukata, bed rails, and children's toiletries. Microwaves in the lobby and self-service laundry machines are convenient for guests with children. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of dishes to suit all ages. There's also a convenience store and McDonald's on the first floor for easy replenishment. Front desk staff are friendly and offer luggage storage. The only downside is that the Japanese-style rooms are a bit small, making it cramped to open large suitcases, and there can be short queues during peak check-in times. Overall, the hotel offers convenient transportation and excellent family-friendly amenities, making it a perfect base for theme park visits and Odaiba sightseeing.

The location is great, very close to Shinjuku Station, making it super convenient for shopping at Yodobashi Camera, BIC Camera, and Keio Department Store. The self-check-in process is also quite easy. A major plus is that the airport shuttle bus goes directly to the hotel, and you can buy tickets and board the bus back to the airport right outside the hotel, with buses running every 20 minutes. The self-service luggage storage is also very convenient. The downside, which is common in Japan, is that the rooms are small. The service wasn't great, possibly due to the self-service nature which limits communication.

Facilities: It's a traditional hotel, so the facilities are a bit old but reasonably well-maintained. The shower water pressure was very low, making it time-consuming to shower.
Cleanliness: Decent, though the toilet had a slight odor.
Location: It's almost a kilometer walk to Shinjuku Station, with some uphill and downhill sections if you walk above ground. The underground passage isn't ideal due to poor air quality. It's about 650 meters to Keio Plaza Hotel, less than a 10-minute walk, and that's the nearest airport bus stop.
Service: Alright.

This hotel is turning out to be my go-to as it is my second time staying there out of my 3 times visiting Tokyo. Very conveniently located, just a short 2 stops away from Tokyo station, and at the mouth of the vibrant and exciting Akihabara Electric Town, it was a cozy home away from home. This time round though, I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor, just off the reception and I was afraid that it would be noisy, but it was well off the main area so it was still fairly well contained. Room was as usual, cozy and comfortable and had a bigger desk area than my previous stay. Walking distance to Aikihabara, and many abd eateries, kobinis, and a minute away to Akihabara Station, really the location takes the cake. Nothing much negative to say, and definitely will be top of the list for subsequent Tokyo visits!

<What I liked> The convenience of being located in front of Tachikawa Station where you can find everything, the ability to receive and send packages at the hotel front desk, the availability of a coin laundry so you can travel light, the lending of an iron and ironing board, the complimentary letter set upon request, and the delicious free drink bar.

The hotel is right next to Yamagata Station, with a direct connection. You take the express elevator from the second floor of the building up to the 24th floor, where the front desk is located. The room was clean, quiet, and well-equipped. From the station's exit, you can walk to the East Exit where the bus terminal is, offering buses to Zao Onsen and Sendai. The food court and shopping area nearby are also very convenient.

I used this hotel as a base for my trip to Yamagata.

It's about a 15-minute walk from Yamagata Station, but it's within walking distance. If you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will get you there quickly, so don't hesitate to take one if you're concerned.

Nanokamachi itself is a tourist area, and you can enjoy walking around the town. I was surprised by how impressive the municipal hospital behind the hotel was.

There are many delicious restaurants near the hotel, so you'll have plenty of choices for meals.

There's a Lawson convenience store on the first floor of the hotel, which is convenient.

The building itself is old, but it's well-maintained, and I had a comfortable stay with no issues regarding cleanliness or security.

A spacious public bath is one of the highlights of traveling.

Whenever I come to Osaka, I always end up staying here! The surrounding area is incredibly convenient, with everything you could possibly need for shopping, and plenty of dining options. I especially love that there's a supermarket and a drug store, plus a Don Quijote. It's super easy to walk to the outlets for some shopping, and even to the seaside to watch the sunset. The hotel also offers airport shuttle service, which is incredibly handy, and you can store your luggage for free if you arrive early.
