Cairns Hotels with Free Breakfast

I chose the Pullman Hotel for my Cairns trip this time, and overall, my stay was quite pleasant. The hotel's location is very convenient, close to the pier and major attractions in the city, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. The tropical garden design gives it a real vacation vibe, and the pool area is lovely; lounging by the water during the day, enjoying the breeze, was incredibly relaxing. The room was spacious, bright, and well-designed, making for a comfortable stay. However, minor hiccups are sometimes unavoidable during travel. We encountered a small issue during our stay: an item went missing from our room after housekeeping. I was indeed a bit anxious at the time, as losing something while traveling can definitely dampen one's mood. Thankfully, Manager Lin from the hotel was very attentive upon hearing about the situation. She followed up promptly and efficiently, handling the matter with sincerity, and the issue was quickly resolved. This kind of timely and thoughtful service made us feel very reassured and highlighted the hotel's commitment to guest experience. Overall, the Pullman's environment, facilities, and service are all top-notch. Although there was a minor setback, it was handled expertly, which in a way made the experience feel more humane and personal. Cairns is already a relaxing place, and staying here made the entire journey even more perfect. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Cairns.

Excellent hotel in a great location. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The warm chocolate cookie at check-in was delicious and a lovely welcome after our flight. Convenient for the Esplanade, restaurants and tours. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. We also enjoyed the beautiful views, relaxing atmosphere and convenient facilities. Everything made our trip more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairns.

I accidentally booked this hotel and found out it was non-cancellable when I tried to cancel, so I had no choice but to stay. Overall, it was okay; the room was a bit small but quite tidy and clean. The front desk staff were very friendly. The restaurant was under renovation during our stay, so we were given vouchers to have breakfast at the hotel across the street. Clearly, for an extra AUD$80 a day, we could have stayed somewhere much better. The hotel hallways had no air conditioning and were very stuffy and hot. However, there was a free coffee machine downstairs with complimentary coffee. The swimming pool looked dirty though, and no one was using it. The location is a bit far from the Reef Terminal, about a 17-minute walk.

The room was spacious and well-equipped with a microwave, cutlery, and a fridge. It's super close to both the ferry terminal and Cairns train station. There's a breakfast spot right opposite the hotel and a supermarket nearby, perfect for grabbing bread to heat up in the microwave. The front desk staff were really helpful, even assisting us with booking a taxi. The laundry facilities were fantastic, with large washing machines and dryers. Just a heads-up, the hotel doesn't provide slippers or toothbrushes, so remember to bring your own!

Old rundown property. We stayed in a suite that was falling apart. Cabinet door to mini fridge was stuck and needed a lot of effort to open/close. Shower taps were faulty and could not shut the water completely. Water was dripping from shower head throughout the day/night. Housekeeper was not attentive to details. Did not replenish items at the vanity counter in the bathroom after being used. Like facial cotton pads and cotton buds. Floor neither swept nor vacuumed throughout our stay. Curtains in the room was torn on one side. Curtains seemed to be too short and had big gaps in between. We chose a non-smoking room. Other guest were allowed to smoke from their balcony? Couldn’t enjoy the cool air outside at our balcony due to constant inhalation of 2nd-hand smoke. What a shame as the room actually had a wonderful view of the marina. Annoying. Breakfast at the restaurant and VIP lounge were repetitive and we had the same items over our 7-day. Plus point is the location of the hotel. Overall, dated hotel that really needs to be upgraded.

The perfect location, close to marina, casino And most of the city amenities.restaurant available on site for breakfast which is a good buffet style. I booked the balcony king suite . And although it was nice , it was dated , the shower over the bath was a pain ! The mixer shower/bath was not working so both were working at once ! Room was serviced everyday and was beautifully done. Pool was nice

Great location in CBD, short walking distance to Wharf for most activities, restaurants and food outlets. Apartment is quite spacious, 1 bedroom with ensuite and extra bathroom and equipped with all kitchen appliances, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron etc. Service was ok as reception/service was mostly not available due to public holidays, didn't need much of service as such. An unpleasant experience when found dead cockroach on arrival and live cockroach few times during the stay, otherwise apartment was quite clean.

I expected much better from a hotel carrying the Ramada name. We arrived just after midnight, exactly as we had advised the hotel in advance. To our surprise, the entrance gates were locked. There was a phone number on the gate to call for assistance, but despite repeated calls, nobody answered. We could see reception from outside, and could clearly hear the phone ringing, but there was no one there to help. After standing on the roadside for around 15 minutes with two tired children in the middle of the night, I ended up climbing over the locked fence just to unlock the gate from the inside so my family could enter. Once inside, we rang the reception bell several times before anyone appeared. Around 20 minutes later, the receptionist (a gentleman with long hair) eventually arrived. Rather than apologising for leaving a family locked outside at midnight, he simply said he had been ”dealing with something”, that there were ”100 guests and just him”, and told us, ”you need patience.” Those are his exact words. I appreciate that staff can be busy, but this was a complete failure of customer service. An apology would have gone a long way. Instead, we were met with rudeness and a dismissive attitude. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered. The hotel itself was also disappointing. The photos on the website appear to be either very old or heavily enhanced. The grounds look nothing like the promotional images—there are no palm trees as shown, and the swimming pool sits right beside the car park, giving it a very different feel from what is advertised. The one major positive is the location. It's within easy walking distance of the city centre, which was extremely convenient. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service on arrival and the misleading impression created by the website photos, I would not choose to stay here again

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Next time though I would ask for pool side as I think it would have been quieter than the street side with the mountain view. Very good breakfast both at the hotel and the one that was provided down the street at the cafe. It was a bit rushed at the café if you have an early morning departure for an activity. We had to take it to go a couple times. The room was spacious and we could get clean towels each day or as needed as there was no housekeeping for our 5 day stay. Pool was nice and hardly anyone using it when we were there. We definitely recommend this hotel. Good price too for our stay with the breakfast!

The room facilities are relatively old and the lights are dim. Slippers and toothbrushes are not provided. Shower gel and shampoo are of poor quality. The room was on the first floor and there was noise. It should be the sound of the air conditioner engine or other machinery. The breakfast is simple and does not provide the delicacies of various countries. It only has bread, fruits and some drinks. A separate deposit of 50 AUD is required upon check-in, or 100 AUD in cash.
