Cairns Hotels with Free Breakfast

The room was very clean. I spent a long time looking for a hotel, and most of them seemed old and outdated. This one was newer, so I quickly chose it. I got a courtyard room with a small balcony, which was perfect for sitting and enjoying a beer – very relaxing. The front desk staff provided service in Chinese, which was a really thoughtful touch. They clearly marked the locations of the shopping mall, pharmacy, and night market, which was super helpful. The only way to get to the hotel is by taxi from the airport, but overall, I was very satisfied with the stay.

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, right downstairs from the night market. Their beef noodles are a real highlight, providing comfort for Chinese palates. The hotel's convenient location also means it's just a 10-minute walk to the cruise terminal and very close to the waterfront promenade, which is great for a stroll. The hotel's own bar is super chill, with live music in the evenings – perfect for a drink and a chat.

The room layout was cozy, and the room service was quite good. The pool was beautiful, and the food was also nice. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center. On a side note: avoid the trendy pasta restaurant Vila Romana (pictured in Figure 4). We're from Melbourne, and they thought we were tourists from China. An old man who spoke some Chinese kept trying to rip us off and was vague about wanting a tip. Figure 3, IMM Thai Cafe, was delicious; we ate there three times, haha.

The room was quite simple and comfortable, with all the basic amenities, including a bathtub. The balcony offered direct sea views, and the location was excellent. The pier for boat trips was right next door, and there were several restaurants along the pier boardwalk, like Dundee's Restaurant. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise – much better than expected, with a wide variety of options including Asian cuisine, and it changed slightly every day, which was great. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance during my stay. For kids, they provided a welcome amenity kit, and after collecting stamps, they even gave a lovely mini Kookaburra doll as a gift. Overall, it was a very good experience!

I didn't expect to find such a great value hotel in Cairns! There were five of us, and we stayed for four days. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. The swimming pool downstairs was also fantastic, and they even had a hot tub. If I ever get the chance to visit again, I'd definitely choose this hotel.

I accidentally booked this hotel and found out it was non-cancellable when I tried to cancel, so I had no choice but to stay. Overall, it was okay; the room was a bit small but quite tidy and clean. The front desk staff were very friendly. The restaurant was under renovation during our stay, so we were given vouchers to have breakfast at the hotel across the street. Clearly, for an extra AUD$80 a day, we could have stayed somewhere much better. The hotel hallways had no air conditioning and were very stuffy and hot. However, there was a free coffee machine downstairs with complimentary coffee. The swimming pool looked dirty though, and no one was using it. The location is a bit far from the Reef Terminal, about a 17-minute walk.

Excellent value for money, and incredibly close to the Esplanade so the location is perfect. Furnishings are definitely old though, but for the price you pay - you cannot complain. Swimming pool is very small, unheated and a little dirty, but fine if you want to get accustomed to water before doing the reef (which is what you're in Cairns for right?)!

An absolutely fantastic hotel! Right downstairs is the pier, super convenient for joining day trips to the Great Barrier Reef. It's just a 5-minute walk to the Lagoon and a 10-minute walk to the night market and restaurants. They provide complimentary water. The room is very spacious, with both a bathtub and a walk-in shower, and the balcony directly overlooks the ocean. They offer a complimentary happy hour from 5-7 pm with unlimited soft drinks, beer, and red/white wine. The afternoon tea and breakfast offerings change daily. For breakfast, you can also order additional egg dishes like eggs Benedict. The pool is huge, the only downside is that it's unheated, but it seems like many hotels here don't have indoor or heated pools.

Great hotel at a great price. Big, clean room with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The pool was also great and refreshing. Walking distance to all restaurants and major shops. They make good coffee in the hotel bar too! They don’t clean your room for stays of less than 7 nights, but we were able to get clean towels daily if we wanted them. Friendly staff and overall a great home for us while we visited Cairns!

The room facilities are relatively old and the lights are dim. Slippers and toothbrushes are not provided. Shower gel and shampoo are of poor quality. The room was on the first floor and there was noise. It should be the sound of the air conditioner engine or other machinery. The breakfast is simple and does not provide the delicacies of various countries. It only has bread, fruits and some drinks. A separate deposit of 50 AUD is required upon check-in, or 100 AUD in cash.
