I brought my family to Datong this time and was so lucky to have chosen Nianxia. The overall service was warm and wonderful, and the management team was very professional and dedicated. I found a guesthouse in Datong Ancient Town, reportedly owned by a private owner from Chongqing. The hotel, renovated from three courtyard houses, boasts a beautiful and tidy environment, and complimentary lotus seed soup after 7 p.m. The only downside is the lack of attention to detail. The room lacks luggage racks, hangers, and electrical outlets, which seems unacceptable for the price.

When I encountered rainy days during the trip, the itinerary plan was temporarily cancelled. Hiding in the yard to listen to the rain and drink tea has a unique style of being hidden in the city.

The entire hotel presents a quadrangle courtyard layout with 3 courtyards, and we stayed in Courtyard No. 3 this time. The hotel environment is elegant and the layout is well-organized. The service staff is warm and welcoming, and there is a two-way airport/high-speed rail pick-up service. The housekeeper has been contacted in advance, and the service is thoughtful. There is a rich variety of welcome fruits. The breakfast is a combination of traditional Chinese set meals and some bread, desserts, drinks, fruits, salads, and Western buffets. There is sweet soup and turndown service in the evening. If the pillow options are improved, it will be even more perfect. It is a pleasant stay experience.
