Amazing
GGuest UserIt's located across from Cologne Cathedral, and looks spectacular lit up at night. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I was happy to have free water in the room, but perhaps because Germany is an environmentally advanced country, it was bottled water rather than plastic bottles. It's inconvenient to carry around, but it was enough for making tea in the room.
If I had to say something negative, it would be that you have to cross a bridge to get to Cologne Cathedral and the station, but you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the hotel entrance. It was a bit inconvenient to go up and down with a suitcase.
PPenLeeThe hotel's location is excellent, just a five-minute walk to Cologne Central Station, right behind the Cathedral. Although the rooms are on the smaller side for European standards, they are stylish and practical. It's a solid four-star hotel with reasonable prices, clean, and the staff are very friendly.

Great
__WeChat228080****The hotel I stayed in during my time in Cologne was generally a decent, practical choice, with no major flaws, but also a few surprises. The location was convenient, about a five-minute walk from the nearby bus stop. Tourist attractions like Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town are easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Small supermarkets and small eateries are nearby, making daily groceries and meals convenient. The room was of moderate size, spacious enough for a single occupancy but a bit cramped for a double. The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). Breakfast is a simple buffet with basic items like bread, ham, eggs, coffee, and juice. The taste is quite satisfactory and can satisfy your hunger, but those who seek a richer meal may find it a bit monotonous. Overall, if you are looking for convenient travel in Cologne and a good value accommodation, this hotel meets basic needs and is suitable for travelers who value practicality over luxury.
MMutongtadieAbout 1 kilometer from Cologne Cathedral, the view is also fantastic. It's located right on the Rhine River, and walking along the river offers beautiful scenery. There are tons of dining options nearby, an absolute feast for the eyes.
GGuest UserOverall the room and cleaning service was good. However, we heard someone trying to open our door during midnight!! Weird thing was on the first day the door lock was working fine, but the second day it was broken so we could not lock the door from inside. Highly doubted that someone internal broke the lock and gave the key to someone external.
It was quite surprising to me that a 5-star hotel doesn’t seem safe. :(
Other than that, location is convenient.
AApulujushiI didn't take photos of the Superior room, but it's definitely more spacious than the standard room. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, which I actually prefer. The hotel is very close to the Chocolate Museum and right by the Rhine River. In the mornings, lots of people are out walking and exercising, so the environment is quite pleasant.
SSebastianThe location of the Adina Hotel is very good. It is close to the train station, very convenient, and at the same time surprisingly quiet, which I really appreciated.
What I liked most is that the room is well equipped for a longer stay. Having a full-sized fridge, a washing machine, and basic cooking facilities makes a big difference and adds a lot of comfort. The gym is perfectly fine, and there is also a swimming pool, which is a nice bonus. Overall, I was quite happy staying here for an extended period.
There are a few downsides though. Housekeeping is supposed to happen every three days, but in reality it is quite irregular and unpredictable. Sometimes it does not happen at all unless you actively ask for it, which is a bit annoying. There is an app to request services, but unfortunately it did not work properly during my stay. Breakfast is okay but very basic and repetitive. The selection was exactly the same every day over two weeks, which gets boring quickly.
In general, it is a good hotel for a longer stay, especially if you value space and self-service facilities, but there is room for improvement in housekeeping consistency and breakfast variety.
GGuest UserStruggled to get through to the hotel as the phone number on the app used to make booking was in correct. The hotel is easy to find and transport links from the airport I give a 10/10 plus connection to the city was super easy. Upon arrival, the service desk staff were pleasant and apologised. Finally checked in and the room was clean and well done. However, my room was facing the major road and extremely noisy during the entire stay as the road is a busy one.
Ordered a late dinner and disappointed with my under done beef patty, the bun it came with required an electric knife to get through. I did complain and an apology was given.
Now, the hotel room doors bang whenever they’re being closed and made my stay unbearable. Something definitely needs to be done as I was put off!! Before retiring to bed, I hung the notice to not be disturbed..alas! the following morning after breakfast I just wanted to have a quiet time but I was rudely interrupted, disturbed coupled with the loud doors as the cleaners went about their inspections 2 x in a space of 10 minutes.
I would have loved to stay here on future visits but it’s a NO!!
The breakfast was lovely, sauna and swimming pool facilities too. I did not use the gym. Otherwise it’s in a good safe location.
NNorthern HeroStayed for 2 nights while in Cologne, check in was very pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and big enough , shower room was also very clean. It took me around 15 mins to walk from the station to the hotel which was all on the same level. Great location only 200yds from river and 5-10min walk to bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
DDr.HeinkeI could forgive ten points for service. I would have chosen the hotel with the thermal to celebrate my birthday with my family there. We arrived too early but we were allowed to check in yet. We were very premature and friendly serviced in the restaurant and when they found my birthday is coming or even decorate a table extra. All in all was the food also very good the thermal was sensational. We had a wonderful time and thank you very much.
