"Had a great stay at this hotel as always. This was my 4th or 5th visit and they never disappoint. The place was homey and inviting, location was superb, breakfast buffet was awesome and the room & bed were very clean & comfy - I slept well. "Everything works fine except the room availability, which is subject to admin limited capacity to accommodate requests. Appreciate that some rooms are not available. It happens. It would be nice to set expectations before guests arrive or even before they book the room. This way they may be able to strategise and consider the possibilities. The photos are helpful as well. This I and other guests depend on heavily. My case is that non,smoking with window room is non-negotiable due to health restrictions. Thanks to the staff for understanding and assisting during the stay."

"My stay at Valero Grand Suites was great, it has everything you need to make yourself feel home. I requested pan to cook breakfast and it was delivered immediately. But you can also get breakfast buffet at the hotel - if wished. The pool is on the 34th floor and the gym operates 24h. Staff were nice and friendly, location is very nice and easy to walk to greenbelt, ayala triangle park etc."

"Great room! Spacious and clean, particularly appreciated that there’s a shower area and an extra bathtub in the washroom. It’s near all the nice malls and got all the convenience stores around. Ordered room service and they were all very delicious!

"The room was spacious and the facilities were decent. However, the air conditioning was very noisy. In the middle of the night, roosters crowed outside, coming from a short building nearby where they keep chickens. There were plenty of food options nearby too. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast though; I didn't get used to it."

"Breakfast service is a trash , don’t know dignity to serve the guest with special food dietary requirements. Highly not recommended for vegetarian or vegan guests. Kitchen staff have nothing to serve and they avoid serving guests. Also they can give a tough fight for bottled water they provide two bottles of around 300 ML per day, which is highly unlikely either they must arrange water coolers at all floors. At least such a great hotel chain like ramada don’t miss on water revenues highly unfair. Water is a basic necessity and if they don’t provide with basic necessities they are not into hospitality business either. Still front desk staff are polite but kitchen management staff are not so favourable and don’t bother if you have nothing to eat. Your dignity and respect to guests must be your responsibility as you are paid for your service so you are not doing obligations on them. Please try to be polite and respectful at all times. Think yourself lucky if you can serve someone with dignity"

"I appreciate the hotel’s arrangement for the birthday decorations. However, if there’s a next time, I hope they can pay closer attention to my specific requests, such as assigning a higher-floor room. Regarding housekeeping, I noticed that after having some food in the room at night, a few crumbs remained on the floor. Even after the daytime cleaning service, they were still there, which suggests the cleaning wasn’t done thoroughly.
Also, every time you enter the hotel, your belongings are checked for security reasons — which I understand — but it can be slightly bothersome. As for the location, the hotel is very convenient as it’s right across from the Greenbelt shopping mall in the city center. That said, guests should note that the connection between the hotel and the malls other parts is either via outdoor paths or a footbridge, so those sensitive to heat might want to keep that in mind."

Kkarei88The overall ambiance is very upscale, and the hotel's design and atmosphere really give off a resort vibe.
However, the service details were just average. The lobby also doubles as the afternoon tea area, and there were barely enough seats to briefly rest before checking in, making the whole area feel quite noisy. Upon arrival, no staff proactively offered to help with luggage.
During check-in, my room wasn't ready, but the hotel didn't immediately explain why. Instead, they used vague statements to delay, telling me to wait for the room number to be notified via email. After I repeatedly pressed for an answer, I was finally told the room was still being cleaned, which was not a great experience.
For breakfast service, the coconut juice I ordered took a long time to arrive and tasted mediocre.
Overall, the facilities and environment are excellent, but there's room for improvement in service details and communication transparency.

OOc$I had an exceptional stay at Ascott Makati. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Makati with direct access to Glorietta Mall, making shopping, dining, and exploring the city incredibly convenient.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well-maintained. I especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living space, which made it feel like a home away from home. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive, ensuring everything stayed spotless throughout my stay.
The staff went above and beyond in every interaction. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the efficient service at breakfast, everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help.
The amenities are top-notch, with a relaxing pool, well-equipped gym, and great dining options. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, all fresh and delicious.
Overall, Ascott Makati delivers the perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and convenience. Whether for business or leisure, I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Manila.

GGuest UserThis is a classic hotel, well located, full service (though a little slow at times) and it was very busy when we were there at Chinese New Year. The staff are friendly and helpful. This room was small but comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous but be careful of the queues (as well as when checking in and out). The gym is well stocked and the pool area is pleasant although the pool is a little small. The food is good all round. It is conveniently located next to the giant malls of Makati where there is plenty to eat and shop! I enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The lobby is lovely.

Breakfast in the morning is also very filling (albeit not a buffet breakfast offering). Internet connection at this hotel leaves much to be desired. If you are on a work trip, do not count on being able to do a work call in your room.

GGuest UserIt's such an old place, but the location is ok. Unfortunately the lift didn't work and it was manually operated (in a good efficient way but still quite slow to go up and down).
Being abto to open the window in one of the highest floor, and look down, seems quite unsafe especially if there are kids around (but I want to believe people with kids are not given this room).
The bathroom had some sewage smell coming from toilet.
Good bed and decent shower. Good AC

GGuest UserThe price is affordable, rooms are clean enough, and people are friendly. Also, it is convenient to travel to all destinations, equally close.
However, there's only one hairdryer in the building, which makes it super inconvenient, and no slippers are provided. Another concern would be safety, Pasay city is more local, you can experience authentic lifestyle, but there are risks of getting into trouble I think.
All in all, after living 3 days there, I would still recommend travelers this hotel.
