Generally clean, but moisture in the bathroom. Wifi is terrible. Good breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ginger Hostel. It's in a great location and is very modern and clean. The beds are very comfortable too. It's also very convenient when travelling from the airport and is less than a 1 minute walk from the bus stop, There are 3 different codes to get into the hostel (outside door, building door and reception area) The only thing I didn't like is that the reception wasn't manned in the evening and so anyone could wander around the other rooms. It didn't feel as secure as it could have been. I stayed in an 8 bed dorm the first night and there was an old man who was really drunk and stank of booze which was a bit disconcerting late at night. The rooms leading our onto the main road are very noisy but the inner courtyard rooms are nice and quiet. The breakfast was great. The hostel staff were very friendly and helpful too.

We had an excellent stay here at ginger hostel. The check in process was easy and our room was clean, large and had everything you would expect. Location wise, it is directly outside a very well-connected bus stop and a short walk from the castle and old town. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, would definitely recommend the indian downstairs a few houses down. There is a free breakfast in a lovely kitchen which was a welcome suprise. Whilst we didn't make much use of the kitchen facilities, they were well maintained and always clean. The hostel offers excursions at competitive prices which you can book through reception. Would recommend to solo couples, families and backpackers as this hostel is for everyone.

Lovely little hostel. Very hard to find, we arrived Sunday night around 22:00 but found it hard to find the door. Very little A4 peice of paper for the sign on a run down door. Once inside very clean and nice. Bed mattress was not very comfy but okay if you’re there for a few days. Towels are provided but we had to ask for one. We also had to ask for toilet roll as it is provided but wasn’t watched. Major flaw, I slept on the top bunk and the plug socket it above your head. There is no little shelf so I plugged my phone in and had to let it hang. It then fell out and smashed the screen protector when hitting the floor whilst waking up everyone in my dorm. So if I was to suggest anything it would be to provide little shelves under the sockets to stop that from happening or I would bring long cables. Breakfast was very nice, served 08:00-10:30. Overall I can’t complain for the price and I would stay again.
