Guest UserMe and my friend pick YHA Sydney Central as the location is so convenient to travel around in Sydney(tram station just right in front of the hotel). We also appreciated staffs, and how clean the hotel is as well. We love that they have kitchen / common area to enjoy our time with other guests as well. We will visit again 👍🏻

vicky orangeEveryone gets their own bed, yay! We were so happy. And the location is absolutely incredible. Traveling with kids, this place is a dream. There's Haidilao, McDonald's, and Meet Fresh right across the street. Walk the other way and you'll find a kids' playground! When you're tired, just head to Darling Harbour to feel the breeze and take in the city night view~

KennyNZFacilities: ”Small but perfectly formed” best describes this hotel; it's like a well-appointed budget hotel – everything you need is there. Hygiene: As expected from a Hyatt property, the hygiene is very good. Environment: The location is in downtown Sydney, a five-minute walk from the Town Hall station, and both Little Thailand and Chinatown are just a two-minute walk away. Service: On the first day, several items were forgotten, but after providing feedback, everything was replenished properly from the second day onwards.

Visited during Chinese New Year, so Sydney hotels were all overpriced. I chose Morris based on its price and location. First, the location is quite good. Navigation suggested getting off at Museum Station, but Central Station feels closer. The hotel sign is on the exterior wall, so it's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. There's no disabled access at the entrance – you have to carry your luggage up and down stairs every time you enter or exit. Be aware that the ground floor is a restaurant, and the restaurant's front desk doubles as the hotel's front desk; I initially thought I'd gone to the wrong place! The overall vibe is very Australian. I booked a room with a window, and got one with a window facing a wall. Since the front desk staff only spoke English and I was only staying for one night, I didn't bother asking to switch. The room was quite small. Breakfast is à la carte, but it was delicious! It's probably the same standard as the restaurant downstairs. A meal plus a drink would cost over 30 dollars. The lady taking orders was very enthusiastic! (If you're not confident in your English, I wouldn't really recommend this place; it feels a bit too 'local'. My poor English made ordering a bit nerve-wracking, haha).

I highly recommend the Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour! The overall experience was superb, and the service was exceptionally attentive. The front desk offers Chinese-speaking staff, and a lovely girl from Suzhou was particularly warm and thoughtful, proactively helping with various issues and kindly sharing local travel tips. This makes the hotel very friendly to Chinese tourists. The hotel's location is excellent, backing onto Chinatown and right next to Darling Harbour Pier, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. Plus, it's a pick-up point for local day tour groups, which makes joining tours very hassle-free. Both the convenience of travel and the service experience are impeccable. For Chinese friends visiting Sydney, I highly recommend choosing this hotel.

MeganGreat value for money, right on George Street! The room was very spacious and came with a washing machine and dryer, which was fantastic for the price.
**Cleanliness:** The room was very clean, but do keep in mind that as a serviced apartment, it doesn't get daily cleaning.
**Facilities:** It has a small kitchen, fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, and even dish soap.
**Location:** Being on George Street is super convenient. You can easily hop on the 'Ding Ding' tram or just walk to explore.
**Service:** The front desk staff were very polite and always greeted me proactively.

Anonymous UserThe room was quite spacious and even had a balcony, though it felt like it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly before I arrived. The bathroom was missing toilet paper, and the towels had some dust on them, so I had to go to the front desk to get new ones myself. A pleasant surprise was the in-room washer and dryer, which dried clothes really fast! The kitchen was large and fully equipped, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Just a heads up, there's a 200 AUD deposit required upon check-in.

Mr D DunnChecking in out staff are relaxed & very helpful. Basement laundry area was lacking in ventilation, consequently rather smelly as you exited elevator to head to kitchen. Self serve cereals & bread for toasting at breakfast with typical Australian spreads was as good as expected - better than some budget hotels.
I Twin bunk bed had linen that was too narrow & the quilt/doona barely covered the double bed sized mattress.

The hotel's location is great, close to the Central Station, Chinatown, and Hyde Park. The apartment hotel itself is a bit old, but having a kitchen where we could cook was a plus. The two-bedroom apartment had two bathrooms and a spacious living area, which was perfect for the four of us. Overall, it was pretty good. The photos of the two-bedroom unit were accurate, though I forgot to take pictures of the interior myself.

@nightkymz84I would tell the toilet is as per review, yes it is small and narrow but it’s simply worth the price especially when you consider the location (2mins walk to Chinatown station and Haymarket (most cheapest market in Sydney), and measured few stations to Circular Quay and one station to Sydney Central Station! Well the room (pod) condition also nice, even though you can expect the space pod is small but it’s clean and the A/C, electricity and locker works perfectly fine. Will definitely book this hotel again next time if I were a budget traveller.
