Minsk Marriott Hotel

I stayed in many Marriotts around the world and this is definitely the worst one. Receptionists are cold robots without any sign of hospitality. If you ask about a bit later checkout they start long negotiations, are lying about the full hotel (it was half empty) and try to charge you more (in my case 112 USD for just two hours of later checkout). In double rooms you shall strangely find only one (not two) chair both in the room and on the balcony. In lobby there are too many safeguards, and you feel yourself rather being under KGB control and surely not in a luxurious hotel. In general the hotel starts to be looking a bit outdated (compared to what it was 7-8 years ago) and definitely isn’t worth money they ask.

A delightful and cozy stay. I'm grateful for the incredibly warm, attentive, patient, and responsible service from the Trip.com platform. When I next visit Minsk, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

Generally speaking, everything is quite good - I stay here regularly, once every 1-2 months. But unfortunately, last months the hotel is becoming less of what it used to be. They deteriorated breakfast options, the room had some small technical issues with door stopper. So the facility is low-key becoming poorer, but the bar is still quite high.

I stayed at this hotel (formerly a monastery and later a guardhouse) and had mixed feelings. Overall, I liked it, but it wasn't without its drawbacks. I think it's better here in summer than in fall and winter. The first thing I really miss is a trash can in the room. The only small one is in the bathroom, and it's clearly not enough. There's nowhere to throw trash in the room itself. The second drawback is the cold. The air conditioner is controlled remotely, and it's impossible to set the room temperature yourself. While in regular hotels you can turn up the heat or cool down, here you have to go to reception every time and ask for the temperature to be changed. They promise to do so, but in the end, the room remains chilly. It feels like they're saving on their customers. The third drawback is the blanket. It fits the mattress perfectly and doesn't hang down the sides at all. It's fine for one person, but if you're sleeping with two people, the blanket is definitely not enough—someone will be left without shelter. And the fourth point is the echo. Yes, the walls here are indeed thick, as befits an old monastery, but the sound inside reverberates so strongly that every word reverberates. It makes you feel like you're in an empty room—you don't even want to speak. The fifth drawback is breakfast. While the hours are convenient—from 7 to 11 a.m.—it's very meager. I arrived around 10 a.m., and there were no desserts at all; fruit—a couple of meager orange slices, and that was it. Overall, the fruit and sweet options were poor. The main course included an omelet, an egg with a yolk, a sausage (which tasted distinctly chemical), and fried potatoes—and that's about it. Overall, I liked the hotel itself: atmospheric, unusual, and steeped in history. But the price is clearly overpriced. For the amenities offered here, the price should be at least a third lower. Right now it's just not worth the money they're asking for it.

The property is well located (within walking distance of shops, restaurants and attractions) and does its job, but looks tired and in need of renovation. Reasonably quiet. The room looked slightly gloomy, with dark decor and stained carpeting that had seen better days. Inconveniently located power sockets: at floor level both near the desk and near the head of the bed behind the curtains. A/C was old and difficult to adjust. Amenities included mini-fridge and electric kettle. Reasonably comfortable bed and pillows. Comforter only without top sheet (not ideal in summer). Multiple mismatched lamps that had to be turned off one by one. Bathroom with everything in working order. Low water pressure in the shower (on the 6th floor). Poor wifi (room was at the end of the hallway). Free parking for guests, although getting in and out is a little complicated. Friendly staff; most of them speak English.

Perfect for a layover! I was able to check in even in the early hours of the morning, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind. They offer free luggage storage for large items, and you can even shower and change after checking out. The location is super convenient, just a 10-minute walk to the station. The dorm beds are compact but fully equipped, and the pillows and bedding are fresh and dry. It's quiet at night, so you can get a good night's sleep. The value for money is absolutely amazing. If you're transiting through Belarus, book this place without hesitation!

This hotel is a mixed bag. On one hand, it boasts a great location in the heart of Minsk, friendly staff, and a decent business room on the 4th floor. However, the peace and comfort promised by the hotel turned out to be an illusion: there's a strip club on the 5th floor, which is quite peculiar for a hotel. But the biggest surprise came at night: around 2 AM, I woke up to loud music and karaoke on the 1st floor. Sleeping was impossible; I definitely wouldn't recommend it for noise-sensitive people staying over the weekend. I went to the front desk to complain, and it seemed like such complaints weren't new to them. I also went up to the 5th floor, and they told me the club operates until 6:00 AM. The soundproofing here is nonexistent, so behind the pretty facade and polite smiles lies a lively but very noisy establishment. This hotel is clearly not for those who value a peaceful night's rest. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Simply a fantastic hotel. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment. The beds were incredibly soft and comfortable. The location is excellent, just one bus stop from the city center. The price was unbeatable. The breakfasts every morning were superb, offering a wide array of local and Russian dishes to suit all tastes. If we return to Minsk, we will definitely stay here again.

The room was very clean and spacious. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't provide slippers or toothbrushes, but they are available for purchase at the front desk for a very reasonable price. There's no hairdryer, so remember to bring your own. It might also be a good idea to bring your own pajamas. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport. While it's a bit further from the city center, this is understandable given the extremely affordable price. Overall, I was very satisfied, and it offers excellent value for money.
