Surprisingly Great Stay! Unique and Comfortable I really enjoyed my stay at the Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The atmosphere is unique and definitely something you don’t experience at a regular hotel — in a good way! The staff were friendly, the place felt safe, and the location was convenient for getting around Ottawa. Overall, it was a great stay and I would happily come back again. Highly recommend

The breakfast is very good. Although it is frozen fruit, it is also a good way for travelers to supplement fiber. The bed is a bit soft, which makes my back and waist sore. The room is simple but clean, and the bathroom is in good condition.

The room presents a modern design with a pleasant ambiance, and overall, it is very clean and comfortable. As expected of a 4-star hotel standard that should be met. However, I would like to highlight a couple of areas where practicality could be improved: • Study Table Placement: The study/work desk is positioned directly beneath the wall-mounted TV. This setup is not practical, as it places the guest in a position where they are working directly in front of a screen that may be distracting. It would be more functional to have the desk in a location that supports focus and productivity without unnecessary interference. • Coffee Cup and Saucer Mismatch: The coffee cup provided has a round base, while the saucer has a square design that does not accommodate the cup securely. This mismatch not only affects usability but also detracts from the overall attention to detail expected at this level of hospitality. • Bathroom Dustbin Design: The dustbin in the bathroom does not have a foot pedal for hands-free operation. Guests are required to bend down and lift the lid manually, which is inconvenient and unhygienic. A foot-pedal bin would be a more user-friendly option. • Lack of Proper Kettle for Tea Drinkers: As tea drinkers, we found it inconvenient to boil water using the coffee machine. The water has a noticeable coffee taste and smell, which affects the flavor of the tea. A small electric kettle in each room would be a simple but impactful addition to cater to all beverage preferences. Location & Accessibility The hotel is perfectly situated near the central business district and major transit hubs, making it ideal for both meetings and sightseeing. Room & Amenities The room was modern, impeccably clean, and featured high-quality bedding that ensured a restful sleep. The fitness center and pool were well-maintained with an efficient layout. Dining & Service The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of fresh options with prompt service. Most importantly, the staff provided professional and attentive hospitality from check-in to departure. Verdict A well-balanced hotel offering consistent quality and a productive environment. Highly recommended for business travelers.

Generally speaking, the location of the Youth Hostel is very good. Ottawa is not very concentrated, the highlight is to catch up with the Queen's funeral service. There are too many Ottawa homeless, and the Youth Hostel is lined up. The Youth Hostel is very clean, and the younger brother is hygienic. I am also the first time I am mixed with men and women. It is good to sit in a hard sleep. Every day, bed in the morning, wake up late and late, basically no embarrassment. Impressed was the rainy day after visiting the National Gallery and sitting in the cafe drinking coffee. The years were quiet, and the domestic chickens and dogs jumped, thinking when they would return to normal, couldn't help but cry.

Amazing stay at the Courtyard Marriott. Perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants at Byward Market. Parking available onsite. Hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Olivia was fantastic and checked us in and out, answered any questions we had and seemed sincerely interested when asking how we enjoyed our stay. We’ve stayed here before and will definitely book again next time we are in Ottawa.

Counter service was a bit meh, but take it as entrance fee to a really great room. Room was more like apartment - living and dining area, kitchen, bedroom and even a laundry and dryer room. Location was also convenient, just behind the mall and morning market area and if you are up to it, you could take a walk to the Parliament hill and its surrounding area as well.

1. The breakfast options were very limited. A greater variety would significantly improve the experience. 2. One of the male reception staff members was quite rude. Staff should be polite, courteous, and welcoming—a simple smile can go a long way in creating a positive atmosphere. 3. It was disappointing to see that the welcome packet was only given to selected guests during check-in. This inconsistent treatment does not reflect well on guest service. 4. The location was not ideal, and the area outside the hotel felt unsafe, especially at night. 5. On a positive note, the room itself was very good—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. 6. We stayed at the Lord Elgin Hotel the night before our wedding, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, just what we needed before the big day. The valet service was quick and efficient, though it’s good to know there is a $44 charge per night. Overall, everything felt smooth and well taken care of, and we’re glad we chose to stay there for such a special moment.

We booked a 2 double beds room. The bed is good, but the heater is too old and noisy. So it was quite annoying and easily made us awake. The room's size for double size beda is not spacious, it is quite tight. Food Basics is located a couple of minutes walk. So, we can easily buy fruits, breads and some frozen fooda as the room alao has the microwave.
