Hotels near Breitenrain-Lorraine in Bern

I stayed one night here on my way from Paris to Interlaken. I booked it at the last minute, so I didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be the best place to stay on my trip! First of all, everything was spotless, and there was nothing lacking. The room amenities were sufficient, and they even provided a water bottle, backpack, and umbrella for use during my stay. Breakfast was included free of charge, and there were about four kinds of cheese. It's close to Bern station, the area is safe, and all the reception staff were friendly and helpful, making for a very comfortable stay. If I ever come back to Bern, I will definitely choose this place again!

Location was great. The train station at your doorstep. Staff were helpful. I voiced my concern about heating and a light that was blinking and all concerns were addressed quickly. All in all, a great stay and staff were well trained and based on my conversations with them, they had been working there for a long time, hence the knowledge and level of service. One thing though, is that the lighting in the room could be improved; that would be really helpful for those coming on business trips and working on their laptops.

Location is superb,near by train station. Good welcoming staff on reception. Overall excellent service with positive attitude.

I stayed here while attending a summer school at the University of Bern and found it to be a very good location, a nice walk through the city to get to the university, and right next to the river not far from an area where you can keep a towel then walk up river to jump in for a swim. The hostel breakfast was quite good and the mattress was very comfortable so that I slept quite well while here. My roommates were also academics here for a conference, so good roommates. The only complaint is that there were a lot of school groups or something, so lots of noisy, squeaky tweens running around.

The hotel isn't particularly close to the train station; even walking briskly, it takes over 10 minutes. It offers self-check-in and self-service luggage storage, but the email with instructions for accessing the luggage storage wasn't sent until after 11 AM on the day of arrival. Since I arrived in Bern earlier, I had to pay to store my luggage at the train station, which was quite a hassle to find as it's located a bit further away from where you alight the train. The room itself is tiny and incredibly basic. There's no small table to put things on, no chair to sit on, and no nightstand. The sink is actually inside the room. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I stayed at during my trip to Switzerland, and one of the most uncomfortable hotels I've ever experienced while traveling abroad, despite the price not being low – two nights cost over 3400 RMB.

A good hotel local to the city and accessible by tram, in a quiet location. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with a view of the city. The room contains a fridge stocked with refreshments that you have to pay for with tea and coffee provided. The bathroom contained little touches with sealed packets of ear buds, nail file and tooth picks which is nice touch. Buffet breakfast was good with a nice variety of food catering for all tastes however the plates are quite small so be prepared for a few trips back and forth to the buffet. The pool was good but cold when first entering so be prepared ro swim a few laps ro warm up.

Great stay overall. The hotel is just 4 to 8 minutes away from Bern main station, which makes it extremely convenient for travel and city access. It is well suited for long stays, with comfortable rooms and all necessary amenities provided. The view from the room was excellent and exactly as shown in the advertisement, which was a pleasant surprise. The surroundings are quiet despite the central location, making it a good place to relax after a day out. Overall, a highly recommended option for both short and long stays in Bern due to its location, comfort, and accurate representation online.

It's convenient that there's an Aldi right downstairs, but there aren't many restaurants around, so eating out is a bit inconvenient. We had to walk a kilometer to get Domino's. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet, and it even had a microwave. Self check-in was easy enough to do on my own.

While the room wasn't overly spacious and felt a bit compact, it was well-designed and equipped with all necessary amenities. What truly impressed me was the cleanliness of the room. The floor, bed, and bathroom were all spotless. The sheets and duvet covers were fresh and crisp, and the bathroom was free of water stains and odors. Attention to detail was evident everywhere. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a short walk to both the subway and train stations, which was a real game-changer for anyone traveling by public transport. Whether catching an early morning train or returning late at night, it was stress-free and significantly saved travel time and energy. Despite the smaller room size, its outstanding cleanliness and superb location still make it a highly recommended stay.

Very close to the train station, the hotel is very clean and provides transportation guidance. Bern is a German-speaking area There are too few choices for breakfast. When I went to eat at 9 o'clock, there was no toast, and there was no replenishment. Even the guests who came later did not have clean cups, and the waiter did not take any action. I feel that the service needs to be improved.
