"This hotel is good. Thanks for the excellent service from Sherpa. She designed multiple ways to help you to check in successfully even if I arrived late by around 7:30pm. Initially I weer afraid that I could not enter into this hotel and could not check in when all staff were off after office hours. She was responsive when I pick up a phone in the lobby to call the service hotline. She is patient and smart. I am lucky I met with her resolving all of my issues. Thank you"
"Our stay at Hotel Savoy was truly wonderful. The location was perfect — right in the heart of the city, close to shops and attractions. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The staff were warm, professional, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay."
"The room was spacious, clean, and I couldn't hear any traffic noise from outside. The staff was very kind. Unfortunately, the soundproofing *between rooms* was poor. Then again, it's an old building and would need a complete renovation. There was also a plumbing smell. However, these issues weren't severe enough for me to give a low rating to the property. There's a restaurant inside, but I didn't use it."
"I booked the most basic room. I thought it would be small before I checked in, but it was perfectly adequate. Transportation is also very convenient. The hotel is connected to the train station via bus number 10 and the 3A bus, which is only a 5-minute walk away. The service was excellent, with free coffee and tea. There was also free drinking water in the hallway. Overall, the stay was very pleasant and very clean. It was even better than the Marriott I stayed at in Barcelona!"
"Nice play to stay when visiting Bern. The hote rooms are very modern and cool. There's a cool spiral staircase leading up to the rooms (dont worry theres also a lift 😅). I also really liked the common area/lobby, spacious and comfortable. There's also a kitchen for you to cook if you don't want to eat out. Friendly staff as well :)"
"I stayed here while attending a summer school at the University of Bern and found it to be a very good location, a nice walk through the city to get to the university, and right next to the river not far from an area where you can keep a towel then walk up river to jump in for a swim. The hostel breakfast was quite good and the mattress was very comfortable so that I slept quite well while here. My roommates were also academics here for a conference, so good roommates. The only complaint is that there were a lot of school groups or something, so lots of noisy, squeaky tweens running around."
"It's close to the station and right in front of the tram station, making it easy to get to the old town.
Breakfast was buffet style and delicious.
When I told them I had to leave early on my last day, they kindly prepared a box for me.
When the staff realized I was Japanese, they showed me a photo they had taken in front of Mt. Fuji, which made me happy❗️"
"The front desk staff were all friendly and left a good impression.
At first glance, it looked more like an ordinary private home than a hotel, but considering the location it was relatively easy to find and I didn't have to wander around looking for it.
The rooms were clean and safety was well ensured. If I had to point out a drawback, it would be that the shower and toilet were shared.
I happened to be in a room next to them so it wasn't too inconvenient.
Looking out the window with a small balcony gave me a sense of calm.
(The photo shows the building diagonally opposite the hotel window.)"

Great
GGuest UserLoved the free drinks offered in the fridge
They also gave me chocolate for my birthday even though i didn’t even inform them
Convenient location in front of tram station
GGuest UserA great little find, right next to the train station and only 1 stop from the city. Fab amenities, modern and well maintained, however the check-in process was a nightmare. Extremely difficult to navigate. We booked through trip.com and received no prior comms from kook as what to do we arrived as it doesn't have a check-in/front desk. There were 4 other couples struggling to enter/check-in when we arrived, so it wasn't just us that found it extremely difficult. I also didn't like the idea of leaving a digital copy of my passport, where ID theft and cyber hacking is more common these days. Parking is extra and chargeable at CHF2.50 per hour but there is blue zone parking a short walk away. The lady/teception next door at Moxy was extremely helpful. Next time, I'd probably book Moxy instead!
PPepper LMHSpacious and luxurious room with huge bathroom. Conveniently located next to public transportation, attractions and shopping. Restaurant at Sky Terrace was overpriced and didn’t taste nice. Restaurant Jack’s at ground floor has nice ambience and serves nice steaks.
FfudanjxOne of the few hotels in the area that offers family rooms. However, its underground parking garage is incredibly narrow and terrifying; my Mercedes GLE almost got stuck in the roundabout when entering. The rims still sustained minor scratches. Thankfully, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, assisting me out of the underground garage and allowing me to park in front of the hotel.
GGuest UserThe room was nice and the service was good.
The water world was great.
The breakfast was good.
There is a shopping mall next to it. It is very convenient for eating and shopping.
The hotel didn't give me the transportation ticket in advance, so I spent dozens of francs when I first arrived.
LLinhuohuotsvsonVery clean and comfortable – highly recommended! Although it's in the suburbs, there's a bus stop right outside the hotel, making transportation very convenient. There's also a supermarket nearby, and dining options are plentiful!
CChiayeeAmazing place, kitchen has everything, microwave, salt and pepper (just no oil) utensils and cooking equipment is all in good condition.
Only downside is there’s no air conditioning, but the staffs were nice enough to provide me a fan to put in the room. Appreciate the friendly staffs for helping me with the check in process and i was able to check in early thankfully.
YYangguangxilepinganMy stay at Ibis Hotel truly highlighted the peace of mind and convenience that standardized hotel management brings. As a chain brand, every aspect, from check-in to room service, was well-organized and efficient. The staff were professional and enthusiastic, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
While the room wasn't overly spacious and felt a bit compact, it was well-designed and equipped with all necessary amenities. What truly impressed me was the cleanliness of the room. The floor, bed, and bathroom were all spotless. The sheets and duvet covers were fresh and crisp, and the bathroom was free of water stains and odors. Attention to detail was evident everywhere.
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a short walk to both the subway and train stations, which was a real game-changer for anyone traveling by public transport. Whether catching an early morning train or returning late at night, it was stress-free and significantly saved travel time and energy. Despite the smaller room size, its outstanding cleanliness and superb location still make it a highly recommended stay.
GGuest UserHotel is in an ideal location with a very short walk from a nearby train station. The Hotel has a lovely old feel to it but is very clean. The breakfast is continental style but with enough on offer. The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and positive about the City. The Hotel offers a pop up bar across the road. Very nice stay and the only complaint was soft pillows.
Many people take their kids and family on a road trip to Bern and Bundesplatz during the summer or long holidays. Hotel Ambassador (from €156) is a popular hotel with a pool, great for cooling down after a fun day out.
