"My top choice for business trips! The hotel is really close to the subway, high-speed rail station, and exhibition center, making commuting super convenient. The desk in the room is large, well-lit, and has plenty of outlets, which was perfect for getting work done. The Wi-Fi was fast, so video calls went smoothly without any lag. The soundproofing was also good; I wasn't bothered by any noise from next door. A big thanks to the front desk for kindly upgrading my room type!"
"Staying at UrCove with a friend of mine studying at Peking University this summer, we had an excellent time at the hotel. It’s conveniently located about a 15 minute walk to the University south entrance gate, and within close proximity to public transportation and a lot of amenities. Highlights for the hotel for longer stays include very comfortable beds, a mini fridge and free snacks, in room coffee machine, free laundry in the basement, food delivery robot, and an excellent daily breakfast spread. The staff were very friendly and helpful the entire time, with some mastery of English. I highly recommend the hotel if you’re looking to stay near Peking University."
"The cleanliness could be improved; if you don't ask them to sweep or mop the room, they won't do it, but they are more willing to help. The bathroom could use a bit more daily cleaning, and the towels were a little worn.
The staff was very attentive, even though they don't speak Spanish. We were able to communicate in English, and they were very friendly. When we left the hotel, they saw us off; we didn't do it ourselves because of the language barrier. We didn't know how to say, ”Let's go for a walk and we'll be right back.”
I was surprised that it's a hotel chain. The taxi dropped us off at the address indicated in the booking confirmation, but they told us our booking was for a different category. It was supposed to be there, but the entrance was on a different street than the one we had booked. Before that, in the same area, we went to another hotel with the same address and name, and they told us it wasn't there, but on a different street. That's when I realized the taxi driver couldn't identify the address correctly. Even after giving the driver a printed copy in Chinese and English, he couldn't find the address. But we arrived, and I realized I had booked a deal through TripAdvisor. It's a lower-category website. But that doesn't matter, they just need to mention it.
The address varies by even a few letters here in China, so be careful.
They gave us water, disposable cups, toothpaste, a comb, toothbrushes, and slippers every day. They also provided toilet paper, face wipes, and table tissues.
So I give it a good rating."
"Overall, a great experience. We were traveling with our child, and the front desk kindly upgraded us to a king-size room. Contrary to some reviews, it was very quiet – no issues with noise at all. The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Grand Capital Mall, so you can easily stroll around, dine, and shop in the evenings. It's also very close to Peking University, which was perfect for our visit there. The subway station is nearby, and you'll find a wide variety of coffee shops, including Peet's, % Arabica, Luckin Coffee, t.c. coffee, and Cotti Coffee, all within easy reach."
"Facilities: This is a standard 4-star hotel with excellent quality amenities, including a TV, bathrobes, umbrella, and safe in every room. The Welcome Building has been recently renovated, boasting a modern and stylish decor and facilities. The hotel also features a gym, swimming pool, and various dining options like a Chinese restaurant and a Russian restaurant (highly recommended!).
Cleanliness: The hygiene standards are excellent, with dedicated staff cleaning daily.
Environment: The environment is absolutely superb! You won't find a hotel with a more beautiful setting within the North Third Ring Road. The hotel grounds are expansive, like a park, with the Friendship Palace surrounded by gardens and lush greenery. Opening the window offers a view of nature. The atmosphere is tranquil and refreshing. Transportation is quite convenient, with Renmin University subway station nearby. There's also a bus stop right outside the north entrance.
Service: The service staff are warm and welcoming, and the front desk handles check-in and check-out efficiently."
"The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Zhichunlu Subway Station and just a short walk to Beihang University. The rooms are very clean, there's plenty of hot water, and the environment is quiet. The front desk staff are also very helpful. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Haidian."
"The Friendship Hotel's VIP building, opened in 1954, has a long history and still enjoys an excellent reputation after all these years. The hotel boasts beautiful greenery and a garden-like environment. I particularly love the 'Suyuan' (Suzhou Garden) with its pavilions, waterside structures, long corridors, ponds, and even a Wupeng boat, giving a real taste of the Jiangnan water town charm. While the room facilities aren't the newest, the overall feel is still good. The front desk service was attentive and communication was prompt. My only minor regret is that the swimming pool requires an extra charge. For dining, there are several options like Junting, Juxiangyuan, the Russian Restaurant, and Friday Restaurant, making meals very convenient. The hotel's location is excellent, and transportation is also very accessible."
"I booked Manxin for a business trip, and it was perfect because I could walk to the event at Renmin University in the evening. This place is incredibly comfortable! They have a great selection of snacks, and the shower facilities are excellent with perfect water temperature. It's been windy these past few days, so I needed the AC at night, and customer service was very responsive. The mirror is great for taking ab pics, hahaha!"
"Traveling as a family of five, we found the breakfast delicious, especially the noodles. The hotel's location is excellent and easy to find; it's just a 3-minute walk from Haidian Huangzhuang subway station. The front desk service was also very good, and there are plenty of convenient dining options nearby. All in all, my family had a fantastic trip to Beijing!"

The staff were attentive and thoughtful, and incredibly friendly and easygoing, making you feel as warm and at ease as if you were with family. The hotel itself has a charming, antique feel with a unique and tasteful decor. Plus, getting to all the attractions is super convenient, making travel hassle-free and easy. TTuzizoutianxiaHere's my detailed review again! Overall: Excellent location, definitely worth staying! Firstly, the location is fantastic. It's a 5-minute walk to Sanyuanqiao subway station, and even closer if you exit from the basement of Phoenix City Mall. There are plenty of dining options and a 7-Eleven nearby. It's incredibly convenient whether you're exploring Beijing by subway or traveling to and from Capital Airport. Secondly, the cleanliness is great. Although the hotel has been open for a few years, the room facilities are well-maintained, and the bathroom and shower are very clean. Thirdly, the Citigo brand is known for its well-equipped lobby. The ground floor has a restaurant, billiards, TV, and bar service in the evenings, so you can enjoy the nightlife without even leaving the hotel. However, there's a common issue with Huazhu hotels: staff are asked to call and solicit good reviews... If a hotel is good, I'll naturally give an objective review. These calls are actually quite annoying.

Aaag01Great location, free laundry, comfortable fresh room. It was quiet when I was there in July, so I had a good sleep. Stayed there on my way back home, originally intended to stay at a different hotel on Wangfujing (the one I stayed at before), but very glad I booked this hotel instead.
The gym has several treadmills, it is right next to the laundry, so you can use it during the wait.
The staff at the reception was friendly and professional. There's tea and yogurt served at the reception area.
I really enjoyed the hotel overall.
The only minor downsides were: 1) several patches of dust I found on the bed after the cleaning one day,
2) the tea supplied at the tea station was not a standard tea and had rather unusual taste (not bad, but different).
GGuest UserThe location is great, right on the pedestrian street, easy to find, and a bit quieter as it's away from the dense shopping areas. The room was very clean, with no issues of dampness or strange smells. Although not huge, it was perfectly adequate. The service was also good; they proactively upgraded me to a room with a window. The front desk even mentioned that there might be some noise from construction outside the window, but since I returned to the room at night and it was raining, there was no construction noise. However, the soundproofing in the room didn't seem great; I could hear children's voices from the next room or across the hall, though it wasn't too disruptive.

Very Good
RRudyMadrigalI’m truly grateful for this specific service apartment—it has been absolutely ideal for my stay in Beijing. It fits my needs perfectly, and I feel safe and at ease staying here.
Due to my severe allergies, I could not stay in a standard hotel. Outside food holds too many hidden risks, filled with unknown plants and herbs that trigger my reactions. Cooking for myself is the only way I can stay healthy.
I recently tried breakfast here and accidentally ate Chinese cured bacon, mistaking it for regular bacon. It was smoked with local vegetation I’m allergic to, which immediately caused an allergic response.
This experience showed me how vital this service apartment truly is. Having a full kitchen lets me control every ingredient I eat. In an unfamiliar city where so many foods carry hidden allergens, this apartment gives me the safety and stability I desperately need.
KKaixinguofeimeiI booked this hotel for my Mexican clients who were traveling in China. They absolutely loved it and said it's a hotel they'd choose again if they came back to China. They specifically mentioned that the front desk staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. They even said they'd be back!
GGuest UserThe rooms are quiet and tidy, and the bed is super comfortable, so after a long day of traveling, I can get a good rest. The service is also thoughtful, making it my first choice for business trips. This hotel is really good, the price is reasonable, and the rooms are spotless, making for a very pleasant stay. Especially the front desk staff, their service attitude is super great! 👍

GGuest UserI have been staying in this hotel since I came back a few years ago. It is very humane and upgraded me to a standard room on a high floor for free. I asked for a few more pairs of slippers, and they were given to me the day before yesterday. The price-performance ratio is very high. I will stay here again next time.
GGuest UserHere I am again, after less than a month! This time I even braved a heavy downpour to get here. My flight circled over Beijing for an hour before landing, so I didn't get to the hotel until after midnight. It was another one of those check-in and check-out on the same day trips.
I was already feeling pretty groggy, but thankfully, Bella at the front desk was incredibly warm and enthusiastic. She handled everything super quickly and thoughtfully, getting me checked in no time. Once I got to the room, I even bothered the staff to open and close the window for me. They made two trips late at night – I'm really grateful, though I regret not catching their names.
This time, my room had an even better view! When I woke up in the morning, the sun was even out, and my mood instantly brightened, just like the weather.
I got back late from lunch, but luckily, they extended my check-out time. By the way, I once again ran into the ever-elegant Ms. Rose Xiao. She checked out my room card for me at the very last minute.
This trip was truly a whirlwind. As expected, after the storm, there's always sunshine!
(I hope I got both employees' names right; I always worry about misspelling them.)
