I was already deeply attracted by the unique and tranquil environment of the hotel, but I was even more surprised to find a 'traveler's storybook' in the room! Reading the various sad, happy, or bewildered stories left by past guests who stayed in the same room deeply moved me to tears. I gained immense energy from your stories. Thank you, hotel, for this warm and thoughtful gesture. If I ever have the chance to travel solo to Taitung again, I will definitely stay here once more!! 🥹

Originally, I booked an economy quad room, but I was upgraded to a standard quad room, which had a window and a larger space, not just a shared bunk bed setup. The most attractive feature of this hotel is that it offers breakfast, lunch, snacks, and late-night supper. Basically, you can eat your fill here without spending a dime! 🤣 The breakfast was very satisfying with a wide variety of delicious options, and the late-night supper was also very generous, even offering 'Mi Tai Mu' (Hakka thick rice noodles) and instant noodles that you can cook yourself.
What's more, the air conditioning seemed to have some kind of air freshener added, so the room always smelled pleasant. The hotel's location is very close to Taitung City center, Tiehua Village, and Zhengqi Road, but it's not noisy. We stayed on the 9th floor, and the soundproofing from outside was pretty good.
However, the soundproofing between rooms was just average; sometimes, you could hear sounds from the adjacent rooms.
The only minor drawback is the underground parking lot. It's quite small and a bit old, requiring a car lift to go down. The underground parking was converted from mechanical parking to flat spaces, so the parking spots are limited and it's a bit intimidating.
Aside from that, it seems you can also choose to park in an outdoor parking lot that the hotel partners with. However, both the outdoor and underground parking are first-come, first-served until full. If there's no space, you'll have to find and pay for parking yourself.
Overall, if I come to Taitung again, I would still choose this hotel.

Worst welcome I ever had to a hotel. Duty manager refused to let me leave my day bag at reception to allow me to collect 2 heavy suitcases from my previous hotel nearby before checking in, ye having verified my reservation. This left a hugely bad taste in my mouth that soured the next three nights at this place. Billed as 4 star but 3 at best. Room cleaning not done thoroughly, gym is tiny with broken equipment and only light weights. Mugs provided in room are so small that they are not suitable for the drip coffee bags they provide. If only they would give a spoon to stir the coffee with! AC in room does not go below 22 degrees centigrade in Auto mode. Staff are all uptight and clearly not enjoying their work - bad working environment evidently, no surprise judging by the duty manager’s attitude. All I got from the receptionist at check-out was a dry “OK”. I will not be returning.

The room's bathroom featured a practical wet/dry separation and was impeccably clean. The space felt generous and comfortable, ensuring a relaxed and unconfined stay. Its prime location offered superb convenience with plenty of amenities nearby and excellent transportation links. The price was very reasonable, leading to an overall highly satisfying experience. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends!

This resort is very outdated. Needs a major upgrade. It has old resort smell and the bathroom of the room we had stayed we’re not clean and needed repairs done.
The spa was okay and it was weird to have residential building nearby to look over the spa swimming pool. The facility looks old and empty. There are residential buildings around but no restaurants nor eatery nearby, only one 7-11. However, the staffs were wonderful, and we appreciate their help working with us to accommodate our request.

Tobias TI recently had the opportunity to stay at ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong, and overall, I found it to be an okay accommodation option. Here are my thoughts on various aspects of the hostel:
Atmosphere and Policies
Upon arrival, one of the notable aspects of the hostel was the requirement to remove shoes before entering. Although this might inconvenience some guests, it does contribute to maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises. The hostel has a modest, laid-back atmosphere, which can be suitable for travelers seeking a relaxed environment.
Room
Unfortunately, I found the room to be a bit claustrophobic. The limited space made it challenging to move around comfortably. However, considering the price, it was within the acceptable range. The room was clean and tidy, which was a positive point.
Service
One aspect that could be improved is the level of service provided. The staff offered minimal assistance during my stay, which led to a lack of personal touch. Despite this, it's worth noting that the basic amenities and necessities were provided.
Pricing
Considering the reasonable price offered by ”It's Mine Hostel,” it is essential to manage expectations accordingly. While some aspects may not be perfect, the affordability of the accommodation must be taken into account when evaluating the overall value.
In conclusion, ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong is an okay option for travelers on a budget. It is worth noting that the hostel has a relaxed atmosphere. it provides basic amenities and cleanliness. If you're willing to overlook some limitations, ”It's Mine Hostel” can be a decent choice for your stay in Taidong.
I hope this review helps!

@lyj88goodFrom the moment I arrived, this accommodation exuded comfort. The booking process was straightforward, and my inquiries were answered promptly and kindly. The meticulous attention to detail, from check-in to check-out, and the respect for the guests' time, was truly impressive.
The surrounding scenery and air were incredibly clear and refreshing. Thanks to this, even a morning stroll felt incredibly healing. The breakfast was also excellent value for money and very satisfying. The cleanliness was impeccably maintained, making for a worry-free stay.
This wasn't just a place to sleep; it was an accommodation that made the entire trip a joyful experience. If I visit this area again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose it once more.

I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and they deserve to be praised, but there is a clear problem in how the hotel is managed.
First of all, an hotel that large, with just one elevator. That is just nuts. Each time we needed to use it, it was at least 5-10 minutes wait, if not more. Also the hotel is clearly understaffed. For breakfast, one of the days there were more than 100 people in the room, with just 1 person to check-in people. The line was just unbearable.
It seems the rooms were renovated not that long ago, but it was clearly a faulty renovation. The isolation is poor to non existent given the rain sounds makes it difficult to sleep. And don't get me started with the air isolation, which it directly none. If the wind blows, a breeze flows into the room, causing the curtains to make noise all day long.
To be fair also, the location is convenient, just across the street from the bus station, so taking transportation to/from the train station, or along the amazing east coast was easy and quick.
All in all, not an awful stay, but I am sure there are better options in the same price range with better overall quality.

The editor's online conversation was very enthusiastic and sincere, but the male employee who received us on site had a blank expression 🫥 and no emotional introduction. I thought I was still in Taipei, but we asked enthusiastically and excitedly. Other than that, the overall environment was generally good. If you are afraid of noise, please be careful. The train is right next to you and will still come in and stop very late, and the sound will be amplified.

Poor sound insulation, you can hear the hair blowing in the door
The equipment is poor and the hair is blowing. It takes 2 minutes to jump. No one picks up at the counter and has to go downstairs to find someone.
The bed is very poor. There is no spring bed like a wooden bed. The door cannot be fully integrated. It will be opened at any time.
