Had a fantastic stay! Originally wanted to book for two nights but it was fully booked. It's a great stopover point if you're heading to Kamakura. The breakfast was good, and they provided toiletries, tea bags, and even face masks at the front desk – a really nice touch. The location is excellent too; you can reach a shopping mall in just a few minutes, and the nearby ”Uofuku” restaurant is fantastic, full of locals.

Fantastic location with incredibly high value for money. It's a 5-minute walk from the Ofuna station, and you can even see the Shonan Monorail from the window. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, including an excellent dessert shop right across the street. Plus, there's a large 24-hour supermarket just a 10-minute walk away.

The room was clean. The large TV with YouTube was great for the kids. The location was convenient, close to Kamakura Station and easy to explore. There were also many good restaurants within walking distance for dinner. I was a little confused about the check-in process, but I was able to contact them quickly and they explained everything. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Overall, it was pretty good. Pros: 1. Just a 5-minute walk from the station, which is very convenient. 2. The price is quite reasonable for this area. 3. The staff's service attitude was excellent. Cons: 1. The room was a bit small. 2. Smoking is allowed in the rooms here, so there was a smell of smoke as soon as I entered. 3. Mineral water is not provided in the room. 4. Check-in time is 3:00 PM, which is a bit later compared to other hotels, but you can store your luggage.

It's a little far from the station, but it's close to the sea and has a lot of local feeling. The interior of the historic building can be felt particular. There is a drink bar where you can drink coffee. I became a fan completely. Thank you for your help.

Kamakura Prince Hotel

The main reason to book this hotel is the magnificent view from the room. It is genuinely breathtaking, and waking up to such a view is an absolute pleasure. Unfortunately, that is where the positive aspects of my short stay at Kamakura Prince Hotel come to an end. The problems began the moment we checked in. We arrived a little after 5 p.m., only to discover that the swimming pool—the second reason I had booked this hotel in the first place—would be closing at 6 p.m. Unsurprisingly, we had no chance to use it that day. The next issue we encountered was the complete lack of even a basic command of English among the front desk staff. And yes, I am perfectly understanding when people do not speak English. However, there is one important exception: hotel employees whose job is to interact directly with international guests. Once we got to our room, it was clear that it had seen better days. The furnishings are beginning to show their age, although the room itself remains perfectly pleasant. And, of course, it is impossible to overlook the spectacular view of the ocean waves. The following morning, we decided to make another attempt at using the swimming pool. However, the staff tried to explain that we needed some sort of tickets to enter the pool—even though access was included in the room rate. This was the first time anyone had mentioned these tickets to us. After about five minutes of confusion, we were eventually allowed in, only to discover that the pool was freezing cold. Unsurprisingly, after swimming a couple of laps, we got out. As a final touch, the hotel also gently reminded guests that slippers were not to be worn around the property and that tattoos should remain covered at all times. While I understand and respect that these are the hotel’s policies, they certainly added to the rather rigid atmosphere of the stay. During check-out, the front desk staff did not ask how our stay had been. Instead, the entire farewell consisted of the remarkably concise: “No extra pay, goodbye.” A little on the dry side.

This was the most pleasant stay in Kamakura we had! Glad to have an opportunity to write a review. I went to Japan in beginning of November with my younger brother, the weather was warm. We were intended to stay in Kamakura for 2 days (1 day in beginning and 1 day in the end of our trip). A hotel near both to Enoshima and Kotoku-in. The service was incredible. The room was neat and tidy with AC, TV, balcony and matcha tea set, also we could see a sea from the balcony. Hotel has spacious bathroom with mini onsen. The hostess of the hotel was very polite to us. One time we were late to check in, so we called from reception, and she began to apologize politely and walked down from the top floor to give us the keys to our room. We felt a bit awkward) Then she gave us 2 towels for free, when they cost 200 yen, it was nice bonus. Btw every time we checked out, a hostess was giving to us postcards =) We had lots of positive emotions. So, I highly recommend this place to stay in Kamakura.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days, and I really enjoyed the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised that the owner spoke Korean so well, and it was great to be able to converse with them. They kindly recommended restaurants near the hotel, and you can even drink and hang out with them at night. It seems they really love Korean music! If I ever come to Kamakura again, I'd love to stay here.

I didn't check the reviews when I booked. This hotel operates on a fully automated check-in system. As I hadn't received the check-in number via email, I found myself completely stuck at the check-in kiosk. I had to call the hotline. After a lengthy explanation and a long wait, the system still didn't indicate what information was missing. It kept loading for ages, and I was wary of pressing 'back' in case it reset the whole process. Eventually, after waiting too long, I had no choice but to go back, which meant contacting the hotline again. We ended up communicating via WhatsApp to resolve the issue. If you've never experienced such a check-in and are feeling a bit adventurous, you might find it worth a try. The room itself, though, was quite comfortable and clean. However, it only had a high, narrow window near the ceiling, which isn't a problem if you're out of the room during the day.

It's really close to the station and there's a convenience store nearby. But the bathroom space is really a bit too small, and there are no shelves to store things, which is not very convenient. In addition, the hair dryer is also broken and cannot blow hot air out😥
