Hotels near Klong Nueng Waterfall in Koh Chang

This is the perfect hideaway! If you want to escape the crowds, this is the spot for you. Although the property isn't gated, it's situated on a hill. On the other side, there's a small canal that separates it from Klong Prao Beach. Not everyone dares to cross it. We did cross the canal, with the water just above our knees, and found ourselves right in the heart of the action on Klong Prao Beach. As for the room amenities, it has everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay; you just need to buy groceries. Thanks to the large trees, you can escape the heat throughout the day, and there's a separate area for those who want to sunbathe. It's best to get around by scooter, as it's quite a distance from the main road. Right at the exit of the adjacent road, you'll find a fruit stand, a seafood street food stall, and a 7-Eleven. The decor clearly isn't new, but everything is neat and functional. The hotel photos on the website seem to be from its opening, about 10 years ago. There's an outdoor terrace on the ground floor and a 30 sq. meter rooftop terrace. I'll definitely book this place again in the future.

No mango smoothie available for two days! In Thailand!!! Restaurant lasagne middle warm while the dish itself couldn’t be touched as it was the only hot thing. The Pool Pumps are high pitch streaming several times per day, which is very annoying. Restaurant „reserves“ table for non showing guest for hours. Prevent us from sitting at a nicer spot. And removed the reserved sign when we were done. Don’t Reserve seats… all this does is upset off other customers. The rooms were small and clean but the aircondition made a loud Sound very time the Compressor switched on. So sleeping well was not possible. The toilet Seat in the bath was just loosen attached an fall off on the time. Simple things no one seems to notice and fix… a bit disappointing Also be aware that you cannot lock your door and keep the ac running, as they use physical keys for the door, welded to the AC activation card.

We've stayed at this hotel many times before, but this time, for a special occasion, we decided to splurge on a luxury experience and booked a private villa with its own pool. That turned out to be a huge mistake. While we've always liked it in the past, there was so much we didn't like this time. All the furniture is old, and I mean *old*. There's a bathtub with a jacuzzi, but no hot water. There's a pool, but it's dirty and nobody cleans it properly; the bottom is absolutely disgusting. The pool area sometimes wasn't cleaned at all, and other times it was cleaned very poorly. On our last day, some filter in the pool turned on, which kept us awake almost all night. Not to mention the non-working lights and mood lighting around the pool area and in the hotel itself. There used to be a proper air conditioning system, but that's also broken; now there's just a weak, regular AC unit. The villa roof is broken and caved in in some places. You can get much better rooms at this hotel for less money, so think twice before choosing what's supposed to be the 'best' accommodation. The beach, as always, is excellent, with its own music and a DJ. Breakfast gets a solid four out of five.

Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort I stayed in a room with a private pool. A little splurge on myself! It was so fun to have my own pool, to wake up in the morning and just jump into the water for a little cooling off. I could lay on the recliner and read to my heart’s content with no distractions, feet in the water. Morning breakfasts are fantastic and the beach view is amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. What to know?: it’s the “Cliff Beach Resort”, which means your on a hill… which means climbing. It’SA steep walk from room to beach, but a great opportunity to get your blood flowing. Embrace it. Room for growth: the bedding smelled a bit sour. It’s wet here, so making sure things dry properly is a challenge. My greatest complaint about the room is that there was a ladder propped up against the backside of the pool wall, meaning someone could climb it right into my private room. A little sketch. The ladder is for maintenance, so I just pushed it off the wall. The pool could use a bit of chlorine as algae was present on the pool walls, but honestly, I’d rather have the non-chemical water. The biggest negative which the hotel has no control over is the nighttime noise. There’s a bar across the street which pumps loud music (starting at 10pm and going til like 4am). The hotel actually gives you earplugs when you check in. So lame. There’s two pools. One up on top of the cliff with excellent views. One down by the ocean. Overall, a pleasant stay.

We had an unfortunate experience at the Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort. Upon returning to our room, we discovered that a chargeable can of soda was missing from the mini-fridge, along with three towels. Luckily, we noticed it in time and informed the front desk. Otherwise, it would have been difficult to clarify the situation during check-out. It would have caused a lot of trouble if they found missing items after we'd checked out, despite us stating we hadn't consumed anything. We later saw reviews for several other hotels where some guests had similar experiences. We were fortunate to have noticed it early and avoided being wrongly accused. The garden rooms at Centara are very far from the beach. The beach itself is small, and the seabed is rocky and uncomfortable to walk on. The beach chairs are often fully occupied. The hotel's price-to-value ratio is very low and doesn't meet the expectations for a beach holiday. The mysteriously missing soda and towels only make us question the hotel's management and service quality even further. If you absolutely must stay here, I strongly advise everyone to thoroughly check all chargeable items in your room upon arrival, preferably taking photos for confirmation. Also, take videos or photos when you check out. Always lock your luggage when you leave the room, and when you return, double-check that all chargeable items are still present to avoid any issues.

Great little guest house away from civilization. The hotel is located on the very edge of the island in a fishing village. You definitely need a bike to move around the island from this hotel because there is practically nothing near the hotel, there are no beaches either. The sea is all muddy bottom, swimming is prohibited there. They give you a free ride on a kayak. In general, friendly staff, peace and quiet. 

The hotel is great! It's a paradise! It's a treasure hotel~ Super satisfied! Breakfast is very delicious, mango, jackfruit are super sweet, there are also Thai rice dumplings, snacks ~ fried seafood, shrimp ~ squid, fried eggs and so on~ The hotel has a large lake, free kayaking is provided, it is fun, there is a lot of mangrove landscape on the lake There is no 7-11 around, there is a small supermarket not far from the hotel, you can buy some basic things It is a good choice for people with cars to come over in a daze~ The only minor problem, the pillow is a little higher~ I personally like a shorter pillow

The Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway is a solid 4-star resort located in Bai Lan Bay. As the name ”Hideaway” suggests, it is secluded, peaceful, and removed from the busy party areas. It is an excellent choice if you want privacy, relaxation, and great swimming pools, but it is not the best choice if you want to swim in the ocean directly from the hotel beach. Key Features • Location: It is located at Bai Lan Bay, which is south of the popular ”Lonely Beach.” It is very quiet. To find nightlife or a variety of street food, you will likely need to take a taxi or rent a motorbike to drive about 5-10 minutes to Lonely Beach or Kai Bae. • The Beach: Important Note: The hotel has a private beachfront, but it is quite rocky. It is beautiful for sunsets and relaxing on bean bags, but it is generally not suitable for swimming due to the rocks. • Pools: To make up for the rocky beach, the hotel has two excellent swimming pools. One is a large free-form pool by the ocean, which is very popular with guests. • Rooms: The resort offers a range of rooms from Standard to Private Pool Villas. The rooms are generally reviewed as spacious and modern with Thai influences. The Pool Villas are highly recommended for couples seeking privacy. Dining & Facilities • The Bay Restaurant: Serves International and Thai cuisine. Reviews generally praise the breakfast buffet for having a good variety. The restaurant offers ocean views. • Facilities: • Fitness Center & Spa: There is a well-equipped gym and a spa offering massages (often cited as a highlight by guests). • Entertainment: The hotel has a Karaoke room, a Kids' Club for families, and often hosts fire shows on the beach in the evenings.

Hello. First of all, thank Steve and Lily, they are very kind and hospitality people. Steve and Lily, every day for a delicious breakfast, told about the best places and sights of the island. The complex consists of separately standing houses around the chic pool. I recommend this place for those who really want to rest from the vain. There are a large number of different flowers and plants across the territory. Steve and Lily have created a really chic atmosphere in their complex, which is always eager to return. Thanks Steve and Lily for having a great holiday.

A small, cozy hotel. Rooms are cleaned upon request (ours weren't cleaned even once in three days), and water and toilet paper were left at the door. Two supermarkets are nearby! You can rent a motorbike for 200 baht. The sea is 300 meters away, with a sandy beach. Every day, elephants are taken for a swim in the Gulf of Thailand. For 500 baht, you can arrange a private photo shoot and swim with an elephant. In the evening, it's pleasant to stroll towards the sea and have a drink (shakes, coffee, etc.) at the pier or cafe.
