Excellent
ZZhangjianzoutianya0086A fantastic hotel. They even gave us a thoughtful gift upon check-out. The breakfast included in the room rate was also quite good, with plenty of food options. It's the only hotel located within the Hengshan Scenic Area, so you don't need to buy shuttle bus tickets for hiking. When we arrived at Yuemen Bay parking lot, the hotel's Tank 400 picked us up and took us directly to the shuttle bus terminal. Super convenient for hiking the next morning. The hotel is fully automated, including smart toilets. You can see the Big Dipper at night and watch the sunrise over Hengshan in the morning. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM. The scenic area opens at 8:30 AM. The hike up and down takes about two hours (without taking the cable car), and the Tank 400 takes you down the mountain.
GGuest UserIt's very close to Hunyuan Ancient Town, but there doesn't seem to be much nightlife there. It's pretty empty after 9 or 10 PM. The hotel facilities and environment are quite good, and I highly recommend it for families. The service is great, parking is free, and it's easy to find. The restaurant there is especially delicious and highly recommended. The dumpling and sliced noodle restaurant across the street is delicious, and I highly recommend the dumplings, a large plate for 30 RMB.
XXiaodeshimeihaodeI chose this newly opened hotel when I visited Hunyuan Ancient Town. The location is just across the street from the scenic Yong'an Temple, Yuanjue Temple, and Confucian Temple. There are various small shops, including food and hair salons, on both sides of the hotel. Parking is available in the backyard. The hotel is well-equipped with smart technology, especially the bathroom with separate wet and dry areas. I'm very picky about bedding, and the bedding here is very comfortable, and the pillows are perfect for sleeping. The hotel service is excellent. The front desk and the manager made me feel like family. The manager even provided us with a travel guide, which I'm very grateful for!
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is perfect. It is the right place to stay when visiting the Hanging Temple and Jin Temple. The room and bed are large, especially suitable for bringing children. It is no problem for a family of three to stay in a big bed. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The breakfast is also very good. Overall, it is very cost-effective.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: Newly renovated, new facilities, no odor
Sanitation: Clean and tidy
Environment: In a village, there will be dirt on the road into the village, but it is clean and tidy when you enter the hotel. There is a self-provided backyard parking lot.
Service: OK. It was a temporary decision to visit the Hanging Temple Hengshan the next day, so I decided to stay nearby for convenience the next morning. I didn’t choose much when I looked at the hotel on the platform, thinking that the newly opened ones should have better facilities. When I checked in at the hotel front desk, I was told that I had upgraded the room type to a higher floor. Although the room is not big, it is small but complete, and it is convenient to stay for one night and the next day.
The village is quiet and restful at night, and the breakfast is basically satisfactory, with coarse grains, staple food, protein, fruits and vegetables, and yogurt.
GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies.
My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily.
The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing.
I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.
CCaihuaxiaomeiLet me talk about the pros. The breakfast was quite plentiful and tasty, 68 yuan per person. Our child, being 15, paid an extra 40 yuan. We booked three rooms together. The rooms were decent for a five-star hotel, and the lobby was beautiful. Now for areas for improvement. Aside from the good security guard at the entrance, the service could be better. Since it's a hot spring hotel, the hot spring itself is important, but it was rather mediocre. Of the 12 pools, some were 58 degrees Celsius, some 48 degrees, and only a few were usable and small. Also, because so many people were crammed into a few pools, they became quite dirty. All three families stayed for an hour before leaving. There were too many access control points. For a hotel in such a remote area, I don't understand why there were so many access control points and card swiping systems; it was very inconvenient. I didn't intend to give a low score because the front desk gave us a complimentary breakfast, which was a concession.
JJulz d’traveller*The staff are nice to accomodate us.
*The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car).
*The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee).
*The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area. They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city.
*Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees.
*The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers, toothbrush, hair dryer, kettle and 2 bottle of water.
*Last picture was epic:)
HHunboonCab fare from Hunyuan bus station to hotel is RMB10(fixed price),from hotel to Hengshan and Xuankong temple is RMB20 and 15 respectively. Hotel staff provided great service and advice, helping with the laundry washing and gave us aloe Vera gel for moisturising. They also helped us to confirm the bus trip from Hunyuan to Wutaishan by calling and contacting the bus station staff to ensure we will not be cheated. There's a shopping centre opposite which sells apparel and shoes at wholesale price. Lots of food options nearby too
