This place had roach bugs crawling out our pillow cases, was not clean at all I would not tell anyone to stay here sorry not sorry It was dirty and filthy us more like it, roach bugs crawling out our pillow cases to say the least, NO help nor caring from folks running front desk, I left a day early and didn't have to pay for that night, when I ask to be accommodated for this foul room no was the answer and they did give me a 100 dollar credit, better than nothing, Do not stay here, what you see is exactly what you get at 200 dollars a night, it ******

I have stayed in this hotel many times since childhood. However, no one could’ve prepared me for the nastiness of the carpet in room 620! It’s hunter green and you can see stains everywhere!! Imagine if it weren’t that color, it’s gotta be a health hazard! The humidity that naturally comes with the beach just makes the carpet even more horrible. I bought flip flops just to wear as shields because there’s no way you want to step on it! The views are great and everything else in this unit is old as all get out, but it’s no big deal….just the pukey floor needs to be addressed in a 911 type of way.

The room in the picture when I booked was nothing like the room I received. The room in the booking was really nice and clean looking. The room I received was a disgusting filthy mess. There were food crumbs on the carpet, giant greasy tennis shoe footprints on one of the bedspreads and what appears to be blood stains on the walls and pillow case. I do not have pictures of the numerous hairs (not mine) on the walls of the shower and on the shower curtain. The room also had the odor of stale cigarette smoke. If you question why I didn’t request another room, it’s because this was my second room. The first room I received was even worse. The room was so dirty that I wore shoes or flip flops so I didn’t have to have my bare feet on the floor and carpet.

Horrible. Checked in, was out in a villa on the opposite end of the property that had no working elevator with children and a handicapped individual. Initially told, we couldn’t be moved because we already checked in. After ongoing communication with Justin the manager we were able to get a new room. Get to the room, and the room is filthy. Floors are caked with dirt, and dishwasher was covered with mold. Couldn’t put my infant down, because his legs were immediately covered. Justin came to the room, looked at it and took photos. Housekeeping came and confirmed that the floors weren’t being cleaned, and needed a special “mop”. Probably need more than a steam mop. Justin advised that this would be handled the following day. The next day, Wednesday the third, make multiple attempts to speak to Claudine ( GM), no response. I made an in person visit at the front desk and she was minimally aware of the situation but noted that she spoke to housekeeping and was notified that it was handled. Brought my infant down to her, and showed off their legs.. didn’t seem to phase her. Seemed like this was the expectation but seemingly agreed to take further action. We’ll no response at all through the night. After no response, I contacted Merlyn, another manager and requested thst the housekeeping manager come to the room. She tried to be dismissive that the problem was solved, and admitted that she spoke to Claudine and was made aware that I brought my child down, and showed her. Dina, the housekeeping manger came to the room, and admitted that the room wasn’t cleaned, and seen photos from their steam mop from Tuesday. She was not able to do anything else but clean the floor again. Horrible customer service and when you pay a decent amount, you should get a cleaned room, without a hassle. The expectation is clearly you get a dirty room. Please review photos of the room.

We have been owners at Sands Beach Club for 20 years so are biased. Everything was fabulous except for check-in which was excrutiatingly slow. It is usually not like that so I don't know what was going on this time. However, the location and amenities and our breathtaking view from the balcony more than made up for the check-in process. It is by far the best location in Myrtle Beach!

Expect not perfect furniture conditions as these were minimal. I'd think the CLUB will eventually upgrade this.
