GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent; you can drive right up to the entrance, and the parking lot is spacious with convenient charging. The owner is incredibly kind and helped us with our luggage. The rooms are large, impeccably clean, and free of any odors. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a wet and dry separation. The lobby offers fruit and candy, which the kids loved, and the coffee was delicious. Highly recommend, especially after a friend's suggestion!

GGuest UserI've been to Dali several times, but this is my first time staying in a traditional-style courtyard like this. The owner keeps the courtyard meticulously maintained, and there are two adorable little cats – truly an ideal cat life! They have a good variety of room types, and there's also a large terrace on the third floor where you can overlook the distant Cangshan Mountain. But the service here is what really stands out. Everyone affectionately calls the owner 'Sister Mo.' From booking to checking out, she was incredibly warm and friendly, offering many great recommendations for restaurants and touring routes that won't disappoint. In the mornings, you can even enjoy Sister Mo's unique Zajiangmian (Sichuan meat sauce noodles) breakfast, which perfectly suits a Sichuan palate. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit. It's very close to the ancient city but without the hustle and bustle, making it super convenient for getting around.

GGuest UserThe scenery is beautiful, and it's away from the hustle and bustle of the ancient city. Perhaps it was the perfect time to visit, as it wasn't too crowded nor too deserted – neither lonely nor packed. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Dali! On the map, it looks like it's in a similar direction to Longkan Pier, and you can also catch the sunrise from here, though unfortunately, it was cloudy this time, so I missed it. If the weather were good, I imagine you could just open the curtains from your room and see it. It's also just a short walk to Erhai Lake. Also, the owner doesn't say much but provides super, super good service. Traveling alone, I felt a lot of warmth and care, and I'm very grateful! ˶>ᗜ<˶

GGuest UserThis was my first time in Yunnan, and I specifically chose this guesthouse because it's right next to a police station. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, helping us with our luggage and giving us great tips for sightseeing. The courtyard is spacious and quiet, and it's only about a ten-minute walk to the ancient city. I really wished I could have stayed another day or two if my itinerary wasn't already set. Coming back around 11 PM, almost all the streetlights were off, but the guesthouse still had a super bright light on at the entrance, which I found incredibly thoughtful. We woke up late, and the kitchen had thoughtfully saved breakfast for us. The breakfast was very plentiful and made fresh by local aunties. Their human touch really surpasses many large hotels. If I ever come back to Dali, or if friends visit, I will definitely highly recommend this guesthouse.

GGuest UserIdeally located just a 6-7 minute drive from Shuanglang Ancient Town, and facing Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, this guesthouse perfectly blends nature, art, and lifestyle aesthetics. From the interior furnishings to the courtyard layout, and even the coffee bar and viewing area, every detail reveals meticulous attention to detail. The courtyard is surrounded by greenery, with banana leaves and loquat trees arranged in a harmonious arrangement. Stone paths and water features complement each other beautifully, and the exposed wooden beams not only preserve the building's original texture but also give the space a sense of timeless quality. The rooms are fully equipped with toiletries, and the beds are of high quality. The owner is attentive and considerate, proactively helping us with our luggage and always ready to assist us. Before we left, he even took photos of our family, bringing a perfect end to our trip. (Photos of the room interior taken before check-out)

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

FForeverzhuThe guesthouse itself is quite new, and all the facilities are well-equipped, fitting a modern aesthetic. The owner is very welcoming and even helped with our luggage. The breakfast provided was also great! It's incredibly convenient for exploring the area too. The location is easy to find, and you can get to Dali Ancient City in just a few minutes. There are also many food options nearby, so you'll be spoiled for choice within a short walk. Renting an electric scooter makes it easy to get anywhere! That's a huge plus! Erhai Lake is simply beautiful! I'll definitely be back again!

GGuest UserFound a hidden gem on this trip, highly recommend! The owners, a young couple, were incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. They helped with our luggage, shared local tips for attractions and food, and were always ready to assist with anything we needed – truly a pleasure to interact with. We were even greeted with sliced welcome fruits, afternoon tea cakes, and coffee, all super delicious! The cleanliness was top-notch; the room was spotless, the bedding dry and odorless, and even the bathroom corners were sparkling clean. It felt very reassuring to stay there. All the facilities were great and functional. The mattress was comfortable, hot water, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi were all stable, the furniture felt high-quality, and all daily necessities were provided. The courtyard was serene and quiet, and the viewing platform offered fantastic views. It's a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breeze – very therapeutic! Plus, you can pet the adorable cat, Xiao Ma Ge, who is super cute! Highly recommended, excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is nestled within the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, especially with its proximity to Renmin Road. There are also plenty of shops and businesses nearby. The room was clean and tidy, and I had a very comfortable stay. The lobby on the ground floor has sofas where you can relax and also store your luggage. There's even a fish pond in the courtyard and a washing machine available, which is a great touch. The price is really affordable too – excellent value for money!

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, with an ecological corridor right outside the door, making it so convenient for morning and evening walks! The room was very quiet, and the breakfast rice noodles were freshly cooked daily. The breakfast they provided was delicious, much better than what you'd get outside. The coffee served with afternoon tea was also fragrant. The front desk guy enthusiastically recommended some off-the-beaten-path trails in Sea Tongue Park and even helped borrow an umbrella on rainy days. Perfect attention to detail!
