AAnonymous UserEven though it's been a while since I got back, I still really miss my time in Dali, and I absolutely loved staying at this guesthouse! The housekeeper even helped us with our luggage when we checked in and when we left, the service was truly amazing. Plus, you can see the mountain view as soon as you open the curtains! We also got the owner to help us sort out our car rental. The only downside was that when we first got out of the car, we realized we had to walk uphill to get to the guesthouse, which was a bit tiring.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is located in Dali Old Town, offering a peaceful retreat despite being close to all the action. It's also super convenient for getting to other attractions by taxi. The owner seems to be a local, and since it was my parents' first time in Dali, they gave us tons of really helpful travel tips. My parents and I felt very comfortable and at ease staying here. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserI had an absolutely incredible stay here, it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Thank you, Mr Ma, for your hospitality.

The location by Erhai Lake is absolutely stunning — waking up in the morning to such calm and beautiful views felt like a dream. RRubyT.nzsgI booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

SSam AussiOur stay at this mini hotel near Erhai Lake was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The hospitality was outstanding, with the owner and their friends and family creating a beautiful evening gathering that we will never forget. The delicious noodles, fruits and the morning Pu'er tea were delightful touches that added to the overall experience.
The hotel itself is new and beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with the rich traditions of a courtyard setting. The rooms were immaculate, superbly clean, and very comfortable, equipped with everything a traveler could need. They even helped us park our car nearby, which was very convenient.
The star of it all was the wonderful lady owner. She was always ready to jump up and help with whatever we needed. We don't speak Chinese, but communication was easy using online translation. In the morning owner took us for a walk near Erhai Lake, which was a memorable highlight of our stay.
The location of the hotel is perfect, situated between the rice fields and the lake shore, just a one-minute walk to the boardwalk along the lake. We left feeling amazed and recharged, and we sincerely hope that our travels will bring us back to this wonderful hotel near Dali ancient city again.

HHahahahahahahenghengI loved the projector upstairs! I stayed for three nights and spent two of them watching shows on it. It was the perfect setup for watching dramas and then drifting off to sleep – just remember to keep warm! I'll miss the cats in the courtyard and the new friends I made here, but it's time for me to head off. Dali is wonderful, and I'll definitely be back next time!

NnaimCTBelow this hotel, there is a Muslim restaurant and a convenience store. The hotel staff are kind and very helpful. The location is right next to Dali Ancient Town, just a 100-meter walk away. There are various shops all around the hotel. On the hotel rooftop, there is a washing machine where you can wash your clothes for free. The hotel also provides travel information. You can book day tour packages directly from the hotel, which is much easier and allows you to visit many places in a single day. The price is about the same as using DiDi for all places. This hotel is by the roadside, so Didi can drop off or pick up right in front of the hotel.

MM445296****We were surprisingly satisfied with our hotel choice. The location is conveniently situated between the east and west coasts of the sea, very close to both the high-speed rail and the airport. This is ideal for travelers arriving early in the morning or late at night, and the return journey is also convenient. It was also easy for us to get there by car, as there are many car rental options nearby, and the ferry terminal is only a few hundred meters away. The room was nice and quiet, and the front desk staff were very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast rice noodles are a must-try; they are delicious, much better than what you can buy elsewhere, and the portions are generous.

GGuest UserWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
