Exactly like the pictures online, no exaggeration! The decor is tastefully understated and elegant, not your typical trendy, cookie-cutter style. It's spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The windows are well soundproofed, making for a truly relaxing stay. The owner and front desk lady are both very welcoming and responsive to any requests, even offering thoughtful recommendations for local attractions. The AC works great, so I slept soundly until I naturally woke up. The location is super convenient, right in town with plenty of Hainanese specialty foods just outside the door. Next to the village post office, there's a small shop that sells pickled vegetables (water spinach + chives) from morning to noon for only 5 yuan – cheap and appetizing! The late-night snack place across from the market also serves authentic, affordable, and delicious food; the noodle soup is 8 yuan, 10 yuan with an egg. The fried noodles are tasty too. There are many people at the Xinjiang BBQ nearby and at the small BBQ stall opposite Gangpo Pier, but my trip was too rushed, and I didn't get a chance to try them. I definitely have to try them next time! See you in the summer!

The Kimpton Shimao Clearwater Bay is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at in terms of service! Our family of two adults and four children was incredibly touched by the thoughtful details throughout our entire stay. The hotel's decor is exactly my style – that understated 'old money' aesthetic. The ambiance is sophisticated yet comfortable, and both the public areas and the rooms are incredibly photogenic. The kids' amenities were genuinely impressive; without even asking, they prepared a puppy plush toy for each of our four children, and also provided four sun protection kits. When I casually complimented how nice the hotel's fabric tote bags were, the staff generously offered me one on the spot – absolutely no stinginess at all. The kids' craft activities were abundant and engaging, keeping the children thoroughly entertained. Even more thoughtful, they proactively extended our check-out time until 2 PM, which was a huge relief for a family with multiple kids, allowing us to pack without rushing. It really enhanced our experience. The entire staff was gentle and meticulous, always ready to assist, and their thoughtfulness was evident everywhere. This is definitely the top choice for family vacations. I'll be staying here again on my next visit to Clearwater Bay!

Besides the spacious and clean rooms, what surprised me most was the gym and swimming pool. The gym has treadmills, and after swimming and a hot shower, all the day's fatigue instantly disappeared. The hotel breakfast was also plentiful, providing ample protein. Overall, both the room service and the facilities were impeccable. The hotel also has its own parking lot, which is super convenient. I went to Daidai Island and stayed in Lingshui County for one night and chose this hotel. It's a newly opened store. The hygiene is OK. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's close to the pier and can be walked there. There is a night market downstairs, which is very lively at night. But the newly opened hotel room has a slight smell. Everything else is good. Daidai Island is highly recommended. It is a small island with few people, beautiful scenery, and suitable for checking in and taking pictures during the trip to Hainan.

The hotel room was huge, probably over 30 square meters, truly enormous. The service was excellent, with very patient staff who met all our needs. This was beyond my expectations for a room at around 100 yuan. The surrounding area is conveniently located with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. My parents had a wonderful trip and a great stay here. They said they'd stay here again next time they travel.

You can watch the sea and the sunrise from the room, but if you tend to wake up easily, you'll have to be careful, as you can hear the sound of boat motors at 4 a.m. However, the sea view is nice. It's very close to the Tanka fishing raft and surrounding scenic spots, so it's very convenient.

There is a supermarket downstairs that is very convenient, and the dishes at the Wanghai Hotel next to it are not bad. It is about 3 kilometers away from Gangmenling Park. It is still a little far to walk. You can take the bus or call Didi. Whether you are driving or traveling freely, it is recommended to live here. Gangmenling Park has a beach to play, and you can also climb high and look far. It is worth a visit.
