I left disappointed even tho I had to extend a few time due to the fact that most of the hotels were occupied since it was carnival time. I strongly believe that they could have been more prepaid for the amount of guests and provide more of comfort. They charged for water in the room, I think it should be complementary always. There was a place for a fridge, but no fringe whatsoever. The room was really small and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The lights are too dimmed in the hall that gives you an impression that you’re in a club or something. The staff was friendly and helpful however I would not stay there again. Maybe it’s because of the carnival, normally I would want to believe they do their job much better. For me what was important: Restaurant: I could have dinner at the hotel always: you just pay 45R$ entrance to dining area and you can serve yourself with the buffet fresh made food. I enjoyed this option so much. Location: was very nice, subway is in 10 minutes walk, the Pyramid is in walking distance as well as museum of future and downtown. The beaches are very far, so you should take a taxi or metro. Pool/rooftop: none 🥲

This is a one to spend one night, no more than that the breakfast leaves something to be desired for only serving bread with cheese and ham when the employees are focused on their services trying to improve the environment. The hotel itself looks like it stopped in the 80's with everything old and dirty looking.

Well located hotel with a great reception. Every day the maid changed the towels and the breakfast had a variety of options. Nothing to complain about, I had a good experience.

I stayed there for five nights in January 2020, and have only good things to say about the hotel. Nice and clean room, good food in the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff (with good advices about where to go - and not to go), great location (400 meters from Copacabana beach and across the street from Cardeal Arcoverde metro station) and in a pretty busy and safe part of the city, with many shops and restaurants. Not too expensive rooms. They can also offer transport to the international airport for 25 real. That's much cheaper than taxi!

Positive Great Location, you are relatively close to everything in walking distance. There is a pharmacy next door, as well as a bakery that has outstanding quality. The rooms are clean and spacious. One of the big pros for me is that there are no carpets, which is a big plus. It avoids any unpleasant smells. Negative Unfortunately, there are a lot more negative comments rather than positive ones. My family and I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt, but due to Covid-19, the hotel was temporarily closed. We were left with no other option but to give this hotel a try. I want to emphasize that this hotel has the potential to be a 4 or 5-star hotel if adjustments are made. Nonetheless, this hotel should be a 3 star. On the first day of arrival, we had wifi. However, on the 2 day of our stay, we no longer had wifi. We contacted the reception desk, and the girls in counter said they were having issues with their wifi due to their guest capacity?!?!?!?!?!?! really? This is a hotel that shouldn't even be an issue. We are in 2020 in 2020 even McDonalds has a reliable WIFI however, Windsor Marapendi did not. After a few days the ”Partial Wifi” was back up, I mean partial because the wifi was only available in the lobby. Just writing this review baffles me with their lack of proper and basic preparation and administration. Wifi was not available during our entire 9-day stay. We stayed on the 13th floor, and again I repeat no wifi in the room. I had to go down to the lobby so I could log in to my laptop to work. How inconvenient and above all this, not one apology and acknowledgment of their lack of proper planning from the hotel, and they didn't even move a finger to make matters right with this nuisance. There was a lack of responsibility and care from the hotel. All they would say is that they are working on it. The hotel charges for the use of an adapter. It's 50 real. Although it's nothing if you convert it to USD, all hotels allow you to borrow an adapter if needed. Especially one that has no wifi. (forgive me, but I can't get over this wifi issue) Breakfast is free, which is a nice thing (especially for a hotel with no wifi), but it's mediocre, your best off going out for breakfast you will have a much better experience. Blowdryer is obsolete. Suppose you want to dry your hair, good luck. Bring your blowdryer. In my case, I had to go out and buy one during my stay. The Reception desk crew needs a complete revamp on professionalism and Customer Service. If you are trying to be a high-end hotel ( Which this hotel is not), Customer service is everything you guest needs to feel welcomed and feel like their needs is cared for regardless of how little or big their needs are. Windsor Marapendi, you have great potential if the criticism is taken and executed for them not to happen again in the future with other guests. You need major improvement. I've been here in B&B North Shopping several times and I've always had some small problems from In to Out. But today 04/05 I was surprised by the team that attended me. 3 people smile, sympathetic, performing, with a wonderful humor and careful to what the guest asks.Today I have experienced the true experience that the B&B Network offers in all its hotels. I want to congratulate Priscila, Rafaela and (I'm sorry if you're wrong with the name), Kath. Vcs make the difference!!!! Know that it's this type of professionals that the market requires in this new phase. Congratulations the unit. So every time I'm in the North Zone, I choose vcs.

Let me tell you about my stay, I went to Rio de Janeiro Brazil for 6 weeks from Sept to Oct 2020 for medical tourism.  During my trip and when I was not in the hospital having surgery I stayed at Hotel Vilamar and I'm so thankful I did.  There are so many things I could list, but I'll just list a few.  After my first surgery and I checked in, I was greeted by the Hotel manager Cecilia.  She was very kind, caring and assisted me in so many ways. She sent me to a wonderful salon to get my hair fixed after 6 days in the hospital.  If my friend (from The UK and I from The US) and I did not show up for breakfast because my face was all black & blue, or issues walking (I had 2 surgeries while there) she or her staff would call our room to see if we needed food sent up to our room. (I do not know if that's standard but to my friend and I, we felt special.)  If we ever called down to the front desk, or stopped at the desk and asked for something, the staff at Hotel Vilamar was on it, and took care of our needs.  In the morning when we would go for breakfast, the girls there would always greet us by our names and ask how we were and always asked if we needed anything. The gentlemen behind the desk were always pleasant and referred us to some great places to see that we did not know about.  One day I had to go to the pharmacy that was right next to the hotel but all the staff only spoke Portugese, Cecilia went with me to the pharmacy and helped me get everything I needed.  One day, post facial surgery I could only eat soft food and my eyes were all swollen, one of the staff members walked across the street to a gelato store and helped me get something to gelato.  The housekeeping staff was always kind and worked around me while I was recovering.   The hotel was always clean and shiny and the staff very attentive to our needs, but they were kind and treated us like family.  There is so much I could add about Cecilia and her staff, but I just want to say;  ”They not only meet our needs but they exceeded in meeting our expectation of the treatment someone staying at a hotel should receive. I have a friend who will be going to Rio very soon, I have already told them about Hotel Vilamar and she will be reaching out to them soon and I plan on returning during 2021 for another 4 to 6 weeks and I would stay at no other hotel.  I truly give them 10 stars!

I stayed in the hotel for the commitment I had because it was close. As it was one night only, I chose to book. The room was very dirty, sabble paper open in the pier, all dirty. 2 towels, 1 was acceptable and the other was completely swept and damaged. I put it on the floor because I had no courage to use it. The bed is horrible and noisy, and the dressers too. Have you seen a short shirt? Yes, it was so much to cover up to half the body and thinnerly impossible. I had nothing but that shirt to cover. Summary: I didn't sleep anything, super discomfortable. It's all about all the rooms, bad clothing. Coffee is half mouth, but in any case I've seen worse. The only positive point is that the reception official called ”D”. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised by the information that the system was out of the air and would take a little, then the same offered us 2 courtesy drinks for the event. The only thing I liked at the hotel, but you're only reserved in the last case if you don't want to get angry.
