The hotel's front desk is on the 8th floor, while the ground floor seems to be used for exhibitions or wedding banquets. The ground floor itself is quite beautiful, featuring a small Gucci flower house that kids really enjoy. The room is spacious and wide, perfect for families with children, as it doesn't feel cramped. It's also relatively new and very clean, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. From the doorman to the cleaning staff, everyone's service mindset is excellent, and they respond promptly to any requests. Although there's no robot delivery service, the front desk will deliver items, and there are also **lockers. Overall, the layout is well-arranged and aesthetically pleasing, making for a very comfortable experience. From the room, you can see Universal's Harry Potter castle, and directly opposite, you can view most of Universal's facilities. The hotel's 3rd floor connects to Wangfujing Street in Wanli, so dinner options are readily available, and you can also do some shopping. Outside the mall, there's also Tingyun Town, which is worth exploring and has a beautiful exterior. The location is practically superb. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to Universal. If they maintain this level of quality, I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

I specifically booked this room for my parents, and the overall experience was incredibly reassuring. The hotel was clean and tidy, the room had great lighting and ventilation, and the bed was just the right firmness, ensuring my parents slept soundly. The front desk staff were patient and attentive, check-in was quick, and any requests were handled promptly. The surrounding area offers convenient transportation, is quiet and not noisy, and the facilities are safe and worry-free, making for a comfortable and peaceful stay for my parents. The value for money is excellent, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again for future family trips. Highly recommended for families!

Everything was good overall. The shower was spacious, especially compared to the room size. Breakfast was good, not as bad as some other reviews suggested. The front desk and executive lounge staff were very friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea was decent, but the Chinese dinner cuisine... could use some improvement. I stayed here right before the end of the summer holiday, and personally, I think it offers better value than Grand Hyatt and Atour.

Amazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city. There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management . If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you. We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. Terry the manager for being a really nice guy, for taking the time to talk to us and ask us if we needed anything everyday. And Kevin for making us some really nice tea and helping us with everything when we were checking out. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile. Excellent hotel! For just over 200 yuan in Beijing, having a window is a real bonus. The front desk staff were also very helpful, allowing me a late checkout for my interview. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Two years later, I'm back at the Cordis Beijing Capital Airport. It wasn't until I saw the airplane model in the lobby that it clicked: Donghai Airlines, The Langham Shenzhen, and Cordis Donghai are all under the same ownership. No wonder they share the same prefix! Of course, as a guest, the owner might not be the most important thing; it's the management company and their level of professionalism that truly matters. The Cordis brand ensures that the management and service here will never disappoint. It's the same friendly atmosphere, warm service, and exquisite food. I was particularly impressed by the staff I encountered in departments like the Front Office, Concierge, Ming Court, and The Place all-day dining restaurant. A special thank you to Front Office Manager Serena, Front Desk Manager Jessie, Duty Manager Lock, Assistant Director of F&B Tom, Ming Court Manager Terry, and The Place Restaurant Manager Anson, among others. Their dedication and guest-first approach truly made me feel the warmth and professionalism of Cordis. Cordis Donghai is definitely worth another visit!

This hotel offers a very comfortable stay. The room facilities are well-maintained, the breakfast is delicious, the bar serves amazing drinks, and the location is superb. More importantly, the service is exceptionally good. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests' requests and feedback, and you can tell they work hard to provide a comfortable, pleasant, and satisfying stay. Stena, Osgood, Lina, Yulia, Mavis, and housekeeping staff Fen Fen are all warm, friendly, and professional.

I've stayed at Ascott many times, and it's consistently excellent in all aspects. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the amenities like the fridge and washing machine are all fully equipped. The environment is also very quiet; you barely hear any noise. It's super convenient for dining and drinks, with plenty of restaurants nearby. There's also Xiao Taihou Park close by, and it's not far from the subway station – about a 10-minute scooter ride.

Ugh, what can I say? The hotel's location is actually quite central; getting anywhere takes about the same amount of time, and it's very convenient to access the subway loop line. Shopping and dining options nearby are also plentiful. The family room I booked is suitable for a family of three or four. The hotel's service definitely deserves full marks 💯. They respond to every request and always try their best to resolve issues quickly. However, there were quite a few issues, so to sum it up, it's like 'Lian Po is old' (a Chinese idiom meaning 'still capable, but past one's prime'): 1. The hallway has a very Chinese aesthetic, great for photos. 2. There were dust mites on the bed. My child's ears and legs were bitten. Also, the light in the room's entryway couldn't be turned off properly, among other things. Afterwards, the hotel changed the bedding, fixed the light, and even sent some complimentary fruit and small gifts (a children's toiletry bag). 3. The showerhead in the bathroom was positioned too low, perfect for my 1.3-meter tall daughter, but adults had to crouch. On the other hand, the water pressure was excellent.

This hotel offers pretty good value for money, with an excellent location and affordable prices. While the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. However, the customer service and the female front desk staff were quite subpar. They were unwilling to offer room upgrades or late check-outs, which was disappointing. I hope they improve, as it would be a shame to waste such a great location and the efforts of most of the other staff members.
