Don't book a staircase only room if you have anything bigger than a backpack. Staircase is circular and extremely small/dangerous.

The rooms were very nice, with a beautiful view of the canal and central location. The front desk staff were all very nice, especially Rick who was extremely friendly and gave excellent recommendations of places to go. Keep in mind it is not possible to enter the hotel during early hours of the morning. Otherwise an excellent stay.

We had an amazing time, the rooms were clean and spacious. Our host Rick was super welcoming, made special accommodations for us and provided awesome recs for the city. Next time I’m in Amsterdam I’ll be staying here again, would highly recommend!

HOTEL and RICK were absolutely amazing. The location of the hotel, the comfort of the beds, and the cleanliness were excellent. We loved RICK at the reception; he had the best customer relations we’ve ever experienced. His communication with us, his energy, his tour recommendations, general advice about the city, and everything he shared with us were perfect, and we are very grateful for that. We owe much of our love for Amsterdam, the hotel, and the Dutch people to RICK, and his contributions were tremendous. The stairs are really small and having medium luggage was a
Challenge to get upstairs. The rest was OK. Breakfast was really good.
